If you come in a large group, I would recommend booking the stagecoaches which is across the road from the miners shack because they have their own shaded picnic tables and access to the outdoor stage. Stagecoach are also equipped with 7 bunk beds, does rock when someone gets on/off the beds. Lots of activities for additional charge.. during the day, zip lining, bmx course archery, laser tag, paintball and pool. There's also free activities like the huge playground, hiking trails and petting zoo (we dropped by the nearby groceries store and brought up a 10lb bag of carrots to feed the animals) Meals were served 3x a day, with a nice variety of options, no one complained about being hungry. The general store does have additional snacks like ice cream and icy for a minimal charge.

We learned all the do's and don'ts, how to ride and guide the horse, and then we were off. The creek trail was a nice nature ride, super peaceful and relaxing. Our instructor made us feel comfortable every step of the way, and the horses behaved amazingly, making the whole experience enjoyable from start to finish. As it was my first time, I was definitely a little sore afterward, but the experience was so great that I'll absolutely do it again. Would recommend!

Pony land is a family owned ranch that is also an interactive petting zoo. My tour guide was Rozka and while she was rather quite lovely, however, Lilly stole the show. A calm and gentle gal--yet a playful, curious, and sweet mare. She was not easily spooked by things or noises on the trail. No leaf eating for the horses during the journey, it is bad form. Horses have way more character than I would have thought! I have learned they can push your boundaries or engage in lighthearted mischief while sticking to their training. They do have porta potties on the grounds and customer service was wonderful. They also provide complimentary sunblock and mosquito spray--sprayed bug spray on horses for their protection as well. I enjoyed myself throughly and would definitely do it again. The wind in my hair and the views were breath stopping! The woman at check‑in was very nice and gave us a map plus a quick rundown of the layout so we knew exactly where to go. I'm obsessed with pigs, so I was very excited to meet their adorable pot‑belly pig at the front named Toffee. Tickets were on the pricier side, but honestly worth it -- the money supports an organization that gives animals of all kinds a safe, loving place to live. They also sell produce grown on the farm, along with drinks and snacks you can enjoy while walking around the grounds. They offer upgraded experiences for an additional cost if you want something more hands‑on. We went on a bright, sunny day, and it was HOT -- definitely recommend sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen, and comfy walking shoes. I was in heaven here. They have goats, camels, pigs, horses, a zebra, and more. You can easily spend the whole day here -- come early to beat the heat and the crowds. It's truly an animal lovers' paradise and a great place to learn about animals, be outside, and have some fun, all while supporting an amazing nonprofit doing meaningful work. All of the animals were super friendly and adorable. We even saw the smallest mini horse ever that was so cute. There are also cats that roam the property and one of them followed us throughout the whole place. Can you ask for a cuter tour guide?! They also grow their own produce and sell eggs. We picked and cut our own pumpkins and left with some duck eggs as well! Overall this was just the most fun experience I've ever had. I have found the staff helpful, kind, and on top of kids who are misbehaving. Having a kid who is under two, we play in the baby area (3 and under) a lot. I don't know why it draws in older kids like it does. Maybe because they're not allowed, they feel the need to go? Anyways, I don't have problems if there's older kids in with their younger siblings and they're being calm and just helping the younger kids. But when kids come barreling in, jumping throwing things, yelling...nope. It's a baby area, and I have no issue telling kids to leave. The staff is usually good at keeping an eye on that area as well. They regularly are out and about wiping the structure and play areas down. I'm not sure how they sanitize the ball pit balls, but I hope they do! There's clearly signs that say only homemade food so I'm not sure why people complain about that like it's not posted. There's also signs up saying to wear shoes in the bathrooms...I don't know why you wouldn't You do have to buy socks if you don't bring your own, so remember that! But they don't care what kind of socks (the Playground requires you wear only Playground socks) Is also recommend checking the calendar on their website before going! Sometimes they have private parties and will be closed to the general public. I've made the mistake a couple times of just driving over and getting there and it's closed. Oops! Their cafe area is good and the food is pretty yummy. I always bring snacks for myself and my daughter though so we don't have to pay for extra things if I don't want to. I haven't had any issues with any of the staff, though I've never interacted with the manager. The staff that is usually there is all great and very helpful! If you're not combative or rude, they're not either. The biggest problem I've run into is that parents or caregivers will park it somewhere and sit on their phones or computers and not pay attention to their kids at all. So you do get wild, out of control, and mean kids sometimes. If you have littles who want to climb the big structure, I'd always go with them to make sure they're not getting pummeled. Overall, we love this place and got a membership so we can come whenever!!

Everyone treats each other with respect or they are asked to leave. Lynn and Duane are the sweetest people who are very attentive, knowledgeable, accommodating and a hoot to converse with! I love that Steve, the ranch hand, is very attentive to my mare and always has a big smile on his face. It is nice, quiet and shady here with considerate and friendly boarders. I've told Lynn multiple times that my girl and I never want to move because we are so happy here! If you want to enjoy your horse as well as a drama-free environment, have peace of mind that your fur baby is being taken care of and make some new good friends, this is the place for you!

Today I leave my boarding ranch that I have been at for over ten years. It makes me sad that it is not like it was in years past. My move makes me feel secure that my horses are going to be safe and it makes me happy and secure. My concerns about this ranch have motivated me to make this hard decision to leave. Communication issues are a major concern for me. One of my horses was being cared for by a veterinarian for colic and the doctor ordered that the horse not be fed. I followed the way this was to be communicated to the feeders and despite this my horse was fed twice during the time she was not to be fed. On more than one occasion things about me or my issues were discussed by one of the owners with other boarders rather than directly to me. If you make a comment that seems negative to the owners, they become very angry, defensive and almost hostile. I see the ranch becoming in more disrepair, two of my horses were moved due to a sheet of metal being blown off the roof and the box stall tilting and falling down. I was told that it would be taken care, but on July 14th it will be 9 months with nothing having been done. As you ride through the ranch you can see rails falling and disconnected and you can also see a number of shelters that have blown down and they have not been repaired for months. Earlier this summer, I expressed my concern over the fact that a rattle snake was killed on the ranch and two of my friends have seen other rattle snakes. When I expressed my fear for the safety of my horses and myself, an owner responded to me by saying that she was from Arizona and saw much more dangerous snakes on a regular basis. Snakes on a ranch happen, but contributing factors like uncut weeds and clutter can increase their presence. This evaluation is based on my perceptions. I often think of those in the past who keep this ranch my "happy place". The people like Bobbie, Ralphie, Cathy, Mel and even Floyd are in my thoughts. I will miss my many friends and hope our paths will cross again! Happy Trails.
