That probably sounds like a cliché compliment, but it's not, I mean it quite literally: Whatever your age, your physical mechanics, your goals, your level of riding - Courtney can take you the next place you want to go. And then the next level, and the next, ad infinitum. She is that rarest of trainers - incredibly gifted and accomplished as a rider, a teacher, and in horsemanship. That's a trifecta you don't see that often, especially not in the caliber Courtney possesses. I'm an adult beginner rider with low body coordination - for those who don't know, those are pretty significant disadvantages. I tried to learn from several instructors before Courtney and always walked away very discouraged. As in, wiping away tears discouraged, over and over. After a long break, I decided to give it another shot - it's not like I had anything left to lose. I did the best research I could and based on Courtney's reviews, I put my eggs in her basket. I AM SO GLAD I DID. Even with all my challenges, in the space of a few months, she has taken me from not being able to sit the canter in the saddle to bareback galloping with security and control. I no longer believe my disadvantages have to stop me from reaching my goals and I'm growing more all the time. My goals for horsemanship are high and lifelong, and I have learned the hard way how rare people like Courtney are. They are worth their weight in gold. They don't just get you where you want to get as a rider - they pass along the art of horsemanship to those who seek it. Courtney also does a lot for horses. She regularly rescues horses from the terrible plight of feed lots and slaughter, rehabs them, and gives them a new life as cherished lesson horses who are sound in mind and body. Becoming her student isn't just the best possible investment in your horsemanship journey - it's also supporting one of the few people who truly care about horses and who really know how to care for them. Her barn is absolutely beautiful, with a large arena and well-trained, gorgeous horses. What really stands out, though, is how well cared for they are--you can tell they truly love her. It's honestly the sweetest thing to see. In such a short time, I've gained so much knowledge and confidence in my riding. Courtney does an amazing job explaining techniques and helping with form in a way that's easy to understand. She's patient, encouraging, and very easygoing, which makes every lesson enjoyable. Recently purchased by a couple with about as much horse savvy as tourists at a guest ranch who are…read moreDIYing the ranch outside of their day jobs. They got a new sign, watered the grass and addressed a few other "first impression" things so it looks prettier from the street. They haven't bothered to fix important things like replacing the old corroded connections that spontaneously break off of the automatic waterers, fixing broken welds in corrals or other sharp edges, or clean up the areas people actually need to use. Also: No manager. No night checks. No fly control. No manure removal and a pile the size of a small mountain that regularly catches FIRE in hot weather. No dust control and major dust issues/no bagged shavings - sawdust. Piles of junk everywhere. Gross, leaning porta-potties. Giant holes in the corrals and horses stand in inches of mud after a rain. Scary barn wiring (cobweb covered exposed wires, extension cords everywhere, noises coming from breaker box). A tree fell on a corral and killed a horse; there are still giant tree limbs over corrals. No feeding schedule - odd times and odd amounts, and sometimes forgotten or skipped. People get kicked out if they complain. It's sad because the property has great potential, but for the same price (or less) you can do way better in East County.

Nestled between two rolling hills and an occasional running creek, there's plenty of areas to walk , graze and ride your horse. The owner lives on the property and is available to help or assist w/ any issues that may arise. She is kind, caring and very compassionate. Has saved many of her clients horses by being so knowledgeable and observant. Would I recommend this facility...... 100% I have been there now for 8 yrs. I was originally only going to be here for a couple of yrs. Now I can't imagine boarding anywhere else.

This one is for Cameron!…read more On Friday September 30, my friends and I took this tour to celebrate my bachelorette. We have never been to the Valle before, and after hearing all the violence that occurred during the weekend of Baja Beach, we were a little nervous to cross, but it was amazing! Cameron was great, he kept our group engaged and made us all feel safe! We were a private tour and he picked us up from our Air b&b, we headed straight across the border and drove ocean side to our first stop... tacos! Cant go to mexico without stopping to enjoy some street tacos. Next stop, Finca La Carodilla. The winery was beautiful, however, we did not love the wine... we still had a great time enjoying the scenery. Next stop, Xalos. While this wasn't on the agenda, Cameron and Ryan created this detour option for us after Adobe winery was unable to host us. Here we enjoyed a fancy cocktail and some delicious churros. Again, beautiful scenery! Third stop, Monte Xanic. This was by far our favorite winery for the day. There are beautiful hills, and a small (possibly man made) lake on site... the wine was excellent, we bought four wine bottles. Lastly dinner, wow... The scenery, yet again! The tables were set up with a picnic cloth under string lights. We arrived for dinner around sunset, and we watched the beautiful sunset colors painted in the sky between the hills. Our food was delicious, and they did offer drinks at this final stop, which we did pay for separately. Lastly, our trip was over and we were headed home. Half our group had global entry, which was nice since they did not have to step out on the drive back from the border. My friends and I are all from Mexico, however, none of us had visited this region before. Its so nice to see how Mexico is becoming more known for their wine and aesthetics... Definitely bring cash, comfortable shoes and an empty stomach as there is plenty of food throughout this experience. Everything was great, and our group enjoyed Camerons company and the knowledge he shared with us on baja california and the up and coming Ruadeseo company.

They were warm and smart and great conversationalists, which helps me immensely while stuck in the car. They took us thru Valle de Guadalupe and we got to see much of the coast on the way to our lunch taco stop. Vegan options were included so I was thrilled. We ate to our heart's content and then we made way to our first winery. It was spacious, peaceful, and extremely clean. Next we went to the second winery, our favorite of the trip and we were able to try not just the wine but some snacks made from the food grown on the property. And lastly we stopped at a small cute winery for more food to soak up the booze a bit. They fed us SO much, and then had wine and agua frescos for us to enjoy as well. Each place was slightly different and so for that I'm super grateful. They are truly some of the most genuine people you will meet. We are already planning a trip to go back with hem again. We've visited San Diego several times, but our visits were limited to the particular attraction we were visiting. This bike tour is a wonderful way to see so much of San Diego via bike. The location is easy to find, and parking is easy to find ( there is a huge parking structure next door). We were met by Kevin who was our guide for the tour. Awesome personality with a friendly demeanor. His knowledge of the San Diego area is impressive. He was full of fun facts about the city. The course was delightful and the bikes were easy to ride.
