Everyone treats each other with respect or they are asked to leave. Lynn and Duane are the sweetest people who are very attentive, knowledgeable, accommodating and a hoot to converse with! I love that Steve, the ranch hand, is very attentive to my mare and always has a big smile on his face. It is nice, quiet and shady here with considerate and friendly boarders. I've told Lynn multiple times that my girl and I never want to move because we are so happy here! If you want to enjoy your horse as well as a drama-free environment, have peace of mind that your fur baby is being taken care of and make some new good friends, this is the place for you!

Several ranch functions are coordinated throughout the year, including vet clinics and social events. The stalls are some of the largest in the county and recover quickly even with all the rain we've had this winter. Multiple arenas and access to trails give lots of options for riding. When I stumbled upon Linda's facility, I knew it was perfect and when there was finally an opening I was elated! The facility has much of what you could ask for. It's one of the few pasture options in North County San Diego, has a small/large arena option, individual pastures with covered stalls for when it rains, tack rooms, wash racks, etc. and they are able to cater services to exactly what your horse needs! It was perfect for us and I am so relieved I can retire my horse and still see her often. Since boarding my horse there for the past year, she has had a few health issues, which Linda and her staff have gladly helped accommodate giving medications, monitoring her progress, and even assisting with moving to a dry lot pasture as she could no longer handle the grass. I can tell all the staff truly care for my horse and want to ensure she is healthy and happy, which is worth more than anything, especially since I don't see her everyday. We have a 6 day horseback riding adventure scheduled for next year so I was searching for a great training facility to get back in shape for this type of ride. The lead trainer Amy is professional, engaging and fun to work with while ensuring your safety and making sure the horses are protected too. I didn't think there were any horses left in lakeside, well thankfully there are many of them at Heartland Ranch.
