It's still a great ride on these Magestic animals, couldn't be too disappointed because I truly wanted to jus ride. It's been so long, since I was a teen since I've been on a horse and my heart needed this. I've always wanted a stable full of horses, hey, a girl can dream. I'm so mad bc I cannot remember our trail guide but she has been working there only for eight months as of 4/18/26. She was the best and easy to talk too. We loved all the horses! I got to ride Ranger and he was so hungry during our trail ride. Had me thinking, do thy feed them lol but I just let him do his thing and she did as well. We all just let the horses eat and chill too while taking the trail ride. We wanted them to enjoy themselves too! My man rode Mega and he's huge! Also, he's their youngest horse and I cannot remember the name of the other horse but I did ask their ages. Many horses live around forty years and Mega was seven, Ranger was 15 and the horse guiding us was 20. It was such a nice day to ride. Don't come here having to use the bathroom lol. My one complaint about the trail is their lack of cleaning it! There was a toilet that has been there on the trail a while, I'm not sure if someone dumped some fish eggs on the trail, there was a little patch that they need to clean asap! They're probably just use to it and might not notice but there and lots of flies over it and I'm not sure why someone wouldn't want to take pride in the trail. I'm hoping this review will help them get there. There are so many things to make this experience even more beautiful and memorable. Thanks for the ride!

I went with my partner (both our first time) and experienced a awesome instructor teach us the basics, give us opportunity to train more or get into the ride and talked about the horses, local area, and different offerings. 10/10 recommend if you haven't ever gone or want to go back. I started off by doing an hour trail ride back in January and the scenery was absolutely beautiful. Then I came back a few weeks later for their Cowboy Spirit days where they teach you the basics of horsemanship. It was so much fun and I made new friends who I keep in contact and meet up with. I'm new to riding and the equine world but this ranch has really jumpstarted the hobby for me. They really love and trust their horses and treat them so well which makes all the experiences so comfortable and encouraging. What really stood out to me was how welcoming they are to people who are new to horses and you can tell they genuinely care about you learning and developing the skills to work with and around the horses. I've visited several ranches now and some of them can be very unwelcoming to people with no experience but that wasn't the case here. So happy I found this gem in San Diego, always worth the 40 minute drive from my part of town.

She paired each of them with a horse that was perfect match for their energy. They did a 1 hour ride and all came back with big smiles, thank you so much for the memorable experience Gabby! You can tell all the horses are well taken care of and that everyone there loves them very much! We will be back for sure!!!

That probably sounds like a cliché compliment, but it's not, I mean it quite literally: Whatever your age, your physical mechanics, your goals, your level of riding - Courtney can take you the next place you want to go. And then the next level, and the next, ad infinitum. She is that rarest of trainers - incredibly gifted and accomplished as a rider, a teacher, and in horsemanship. That's a trifecta you don't see that often, especially not in the caliber Courtney possesses. I'm an adult beginner rider with low body coordination - for those who don't know, those are pretty significant disadvantages. I tried to learn from several instructors before Courtney and always walked away very discouraged. As in, wiping away tears discouraged, over and over. After a long break, I decided to give it another shot - it's not like I had anything left to lose. I did the best research I could and based on Courtney's reviews, I put my eggs in her basket. I AM SO GLAD I DID. Even with all my challenges, in the space of a few months, she has taken me from not being able to sit the canter in the saddle to bareback galloping with security and control. I no longer believe my disadvantages have to stop me from reaching my goals and I'm growing more all the time. My goals for horsemanship are high and lifelong, and I have learned the hard way how rare people like Courtney are. They are worth their weight in gold. They don't just get you where you want to get as a rider - they pass along the art of horsemanship to those who seek it. Courtney also does a lot for horses. She regularly rescues horses from the terrible plight of feed lots and slaughter, rehabs them, and gives them a new life as cherished lesson horses who are sound in mind and body. Becoming her student isn't just the best possible investment in your horsemanship journey - it's also supporting one of the few people who truly care about horses and who really know how to care for them. If you're looking for a world class trainer who will teach you with efficacy and kindness, empower you with safety and reliable knowledge, and who is actually making a positive difference in the world for people and for horses, look no further!!

Her barn is absolutely beautiful, with a large arena and well-trained, gorgeous horses. What really stands out, though, is how well cared for they are--you can tell they truly love her. It's honestly the sweetest thing to see. In such a short time, I've gained so much knowledge and confidence in my riding. Courtney does an amazing job explaining techniques and helping with form in a way that's easy to understand. She's patient, encouraging, and very easygoing, which makes every lesson enjoyable. I'm really excited to keep learning and making progress with her!
