Come game time, it turned out we didn't exceed the limit so the team remained flexible and delivered the original plan with ease. Set up and break down was insanely fast. They kept the birthday girl completely engaged and loving every minute of the program. They made her feel like the star of the show while keeping her guests engaged as well. When some kids got a little squirrely, they were gracious and patient and kept the program rolling. We throughly enjoyed the fun, different element that Zovargo brought to our party. It's basically a giant dirt-filled playground free-for-all where kids can just be kids, and I'm so here for it! We first came during Halloween last year, and it's easily one of the best pumpkin patch experiences in San Diego. I LOVE that you can buy admission with everything included instead of constantly buying individual activity tickets. It makes the day so much easier with kids, and for everything they offer, I think it's a great value. Just know: it's a FARM. Dirt road, dirt parking lot, dirt everywhere. Expect your kids to leave filthy and happy. The entrance can also be easy to pass the first time since there isn't much warning before the turn. They do have handicap parking right up front, which is a huge plus. There is SO much to do: endless slides and bikes, petting areas with the sweetest animals, goat feeding, chickens, tortoises, horses, cows and llamas, a hay maze, shaded jumping blob, tricycle course with tunnels, toddler area, corn pit, inflatables, water slides, sunflower fields and hayrides. And if your kid loves construction equipment, this place is HEAVEN. There are endless dump trucks, excavators and bulldozer toys, plus real equipment the kids can actually climb on. Even when it's busy, there's so much to do that it never feels like kids are fighting over one toy. They also have a little snack bar where you can buy food, drinks and refreshments, but I love that they allow you to bring your own food and drinks too. There are tons of shaded patio areas with tables, so you can pack a picnic, sit down and take a break before the kids run off for round two. Everyone working and volunteering here has always been incredibly friendly. One of the owners even drove our hayride and told us about all the animals, which made it feel even more special. We now look forward to their monthly themed events and make them one of the highlights of our month. We're already excited for Halloween and Christmas! Such a wholesome, family-owned place where kids can climb, explore, get dirty and HAVE FUN. If you have a construction obsessed kid around ages 2-8, you absolutely need to bring them here. We could stay all day and still find more to do!

The animals are so friendly, and the hour just flies by as you feed and spend time with the animals. The pigs love belly rubs and will come up to you for some snuggles! They don't like being picked up though, but if you stay still with a bucket of lettuce they won't leave you alone! :) We also got the VIP Mini Cows package and the owner, Wes, truly treated us like VIPs. We were lucky enough to be the only ones to spend time with the cows, and we got to feed them and lounge in the VIP area. The farm also doubles as an Airbnb with stargazing, and the suites are named after each of the cows! We were only here for a day, but are planning on coming back for the Airbnb and get the full farm and stargazing experience!

We've been customers of Happy Hens for years. Even after moving, we've continued to make the 1hr…read moredrive to the farm because we genuinely like supporting this small local business. That's why we were extremely disappointed to purchase a flat of eggs directly from the farm on 9/11, only to learn afterward that Happy Hens had issued a voluntary Salmonella recall on 9/8. CDPH specifically states that recalled eggs were available for purchase directly at the Ramona farm. My understanding is that the FDA found Salmonella Enteritidis in 2 of the farm's 7 hen houses, and whole-genome sequencing showed that the Salmonella matched the strain found in sick individuals. As of September 8, there were 23 reported illnesses and 7 hospitalizations. We are reasonable people and understand that investigations happen and that things can go wrong. What we cannot understand is being allowed to purchase a flat of eggs after a voluntary recall had already been issued, without anyone saying a word. They were happy to take our money. Had we known, we obviously would not have purchased the eggs at this time. After years of intentionally supporting this business, we feel completely blindsided. This has seriously shaken our trust. Very disappointing.

Located in Del Mar near the festival, if your eyes are peeled open, it can be quite easy to miss. There's a few parking spots available. I came at 10am to see if I can register and walk in right away. They told me to come back at 11am. So I went across the street for a drink and then returned. It was a neat experience. You walk in and use hand sanitizers and get the instructions. If you're not a member you can handle the birds directly. You get a bowl of food and later can circle back to feed the fish. Some birds are outside their cages which is fun and you get some nice photos with them. The ones who ate from my bowl seemed to only really want the apples. The bowls had a mixtures of fruits and vegetables. The ones in the cages they tell you not to take out. Why? Don't know. Flight risk? For 15 bucks a person, it was a nice way to spend a hour and hear why some birds are the way they are (you'll have to ask the workers there why and they'll gladly share stories otherwise it's mostly a independent stroll through the sanctuary). I liked the chicken tender spot and I also liked the chicken and waffle plate. The environment is good for families and young children.
