I would just give them 2 stars if Jamie Oliver's Diner is a Restaurant in the city! But I added one stars just because they are an airport restaurant. The burgers are below average and the waitresses very have is nice and attentive. Not much I can say for the foods! I'll not come to Jamie Oliver's Diner if I am looking for a nice meal. But this is what you get at most of the airport!

On the way home from a two week trip around Europe, we stopped in here around noon for some food before a long flight. We got seated quickly and greeted by a server. My boyfriend and I both ordered a coffee and water. The server was very quick. They serve a few breakfast options all day. I'm not sure why the reviews for this spot are so low because it was really good. We both ordered the large breakfast dish... SO MUCH FOOD! It had eggs, bacon, sausage, beans, tomatoes, potatoes, steak, toast, and a waffle with pork. It looked amazing but also tasted great ! The pork waffle was definitely the best part. Not something I would typically get, but I'm glad I did. I was so full when I was done. All the food was cooked perfectly. I did see some burgers from the next table and they also looked great. So if you are in Gatwick airport, head here.

Tasty food for an airport but has some of the usual airport food limits. Service is friendly. I had the BBQ sampler and it was nicely spicy and well prepared. I probably in my exhaustion didn't check the menu closely enough the duck tacos are lettuce cups. The waffle with the pork was delicious. Edit my main objection is the wax paper on which the food is served which shreds up as you cut in. Fine for a burger not for knife and fork food.

Normal airport bar, over price and you can't do anything about it. Very crowded as usual. Service okay, not friendly but not unfriendly, just meh! Would have expected more from Jamie Oliver, my main squeeze. Still love your recipes and what you do, just need to do better with your restaurant staff training from cooking to bar tending...excellent customer service always brings in money.

For starters, the food is alright. My burger was good but nothing special. The cost for my food was not alright. I figured since it was my last meal abroad after six weeks, I'd avoid the pre-made sandwiches and spend a little. I ended up with about the same amount of food I would've gotten with the sandwich except for three times as much. The service is okay. I waited a little longer than I would've liked to order, but it was nothing unbearable.

Definitely lured in by the signage and the Jamie Oliver name, we thought we might as well give this diner a shot. It's an airport meal after all, so our expectations were not terribly high. But!! Honestly it hit the spot. Our pulled pork dish had some kicking and actual spicy-you-can-feel flavors laid perfectly on a waffle. Nothing fancy here with the fries, just some golden thin ones, but still good enough for some comfort food salt intake. I was impressed with the sweetcorn fritters as they had enough body to be more than just fried corn but still mealy enough to feel like a real fritter. Smashed avo was under ripe which is a shame but nothing meal-ruining. Also would love to give a shoutout to all the great waitstaff here. It's an airport restaurant so I definitely value speed and efficiency; but no complaints here, our waitress was lovely and had our check/orders ready to go shortly. We were even told before being seated, that upon ordering, food could take 15 min to arrive. Super professional, some stellar American staples, and overall a crowd-pleasing airport choice.

After reading reviews after I had sat down & had put my order in, I was nervous for the food to arrive. Turned out I had nothing to worry out. Jamie's Insanity burger was really tasty. The fries were perfectly seasoned & it was a good meal. Quite on the pricey side, the burger, a Diet Coke & a glass of prosecco - 30 inc tip, but I enjoyed it & it is the airport after all. My server, David was really friendly and I could get his attention when required. Nice decor and bar area and if you are in a rush, there is a deli/to go section as well.

A British take on American comfort food, I feel like Jamie Oliver hit the mark -- albeit a $23 breakfast (even by airport price standards) isn't exactly what one expects from a diner. I had The Full Monty (which was essentially a traditional breakfast fry with beans, 2 kinds of sausage, eggs, tomato, bacon & mushrooms. Bread on the side will cost you extra. The food was all fresh and a large portion that could easily be split between two people. And breakfast is served all day (yay)! The beans had a slight BBQ sauce flavor to them that I didn't hate - but I would have preferred some Heinz straight from the can, if I'm being honest. It was a flavor that felt foreign to the meal itself. I loved my waiter and the host who sat me. Both were really friendly and fun. Service was prompt, but I never felt rushed.

Burger review only: Yuck! The cheeseburger is not good. The quality of the meat is poor and it taste gross. I went next door to get a slice of pizza to eat in my flight instead. The fries were solid so I wasn't starving. I don't recommend the burgers. Get at your own risk. You were warned.

How can a restaurant, in a BRITISH airport, be out of both potatoes and mushrooms? What a disgrace.

Do not eat here. all the meat was overcooked. My shoe would have been more tender than the 35 day aged sirloin offered here.

Things were looking promising when I saw a vegetarian breakfast offered in lieu of the traditional English breakfast. I was drawn to the dish because it offered spinach and hash browns in lieu of all the meat in its partner dish. My friend ordered the regular Full English and her dish came out well before mine. I waited roughly 10-15 minutes longer for something that would appear to take less cook time. The plate came out and I noticed there was no spinach. I was not offered a choice as a substitute nor made aware of the situation. Long story short I ended up ordering the Full English and they forgot my black pudding. Waited additional time for that as well. Then they forgot I asked for the bill. Overall, I would not recommend it, especially if you're on a time schedule and multiple mishaps occurred. No cash accepted and 12.5% service charge automatically added to the final bill with the usual VAT.

We arrived into St Leonards Warrior Square station around lunch time and were planning on having lunch before checking in to our accommodation. The point of which is that we walked from the station to the seafront (downhill to the sea, then turn right along the waterfront) to Teddy's Beach Diner. We were here in early November and it was forecast for rain a couple of days before, but on the day it was blue skies and sunshine. Which as it turns out meant that the balcony of Teddy's was a perfect place to perch for a pre-lunch drink and then food in the sunshine. And being on the 'beach' side of the road, the unobstructed views over the water are just amazing. The staff here are just lovely; they were engaging and we had brief but meaningful conversations - even about as mundane a topic as our choice for wine. For one server it was their first day at work. The service was uniformly friendly and efficient at every point. We sat outside but the service included keeping in regular contact with us to ensure that we had everything that we needed. The menu is as the name implies, a Diner style i.e. informal and American influenced. There are some seafood choices available given the seaside location, but as we were planning to have seafood at dinner I went for the more standard burger for lunch. It was very tasty indeed, served on a wooden chopping board. Brioche bun, high stack of (homemade) burger meat with tasty bacon and lovely pickles, and a little tin of fries to the side. My friend had a half rack of ribs, which was plenty big enough for lunch - covered most of the plate! We returned here twice for drinks over the course of the weekend. Sat indoors then as it was later in the day. Tables are a good distance away from each other so no crowded feeling. We even scored some free homemade popcorn with our drinks. Don't often find something for nothing. Prices are very reasonable too - both food and drink. In short this place ticks every box - comfortable, friendly service, amazing views, tasty food and it won't break the bank. Definitely recommend.
