Pro-tip: the all-you-can eat prime rib dinner is misleading !!! Pay attention because you have to consume all on your plate (including some gnarly veggies) if you want a second helping of the 'prime-rib' I guess it's kind of a staple -- especially if you're a tourist island hopping on Hollywood blvd . Yea, you won't be getting quality , but you are getting quantity . And napoleon said there's a lot of quality in quantity, but he's not gonna be eating here too -- mostly because of the he's dead part. I'm order to get seconds on the prime-rib you're gonna have to down the filler veggies as well. Deceptive, but tolerable. It's actually quite smart of the owner to mandate this as veggies has a lot of fiber and fills you up. Why do you think salad and bread are the first thing you see at à buffet ? And while under normal circumstances , I'd be fine with this , I soon discovered with a whiff of that inviting Hollywood air that , to my detriment, I'd have to consume icky bressel sprouts . While visiting the Hollywood area, I came upon this gem of an Irish pub right on Hollywood Boulevard. I took it as a sign that the star of Gene Roddenberry was directly in front of the entrance. Beers were tasty, two for ones start at noon, and the staff are great. We had such a good time drinking that we came back the next day for a reasonably priced prime rib lunch. This is a great pub on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The Prime Rib Dinner is inexpensive and very tasty. The Prime Rib Sliders are great, as well. The 2-for-1 giant beers during happy hour are an awesome deal. The front patio is a great spot for people watching. The bartenders are friendly. One of the most disappointing bars in LA. We went on the 11th, Friday night, it was empty. There were only 2 bar stools that were occupied when we entered and as the time processed it was just us. This place gave a weird vibe as we sat and watched cars past in the street through the window. There were 2 men at different occasions approached us trying to hold conversations. We felt unsafe. The service there was the worst. Despite its being empty, the work was not attentive at all. We waited and waited to be served. And again when we want to close out and leave, the server decided to make a drink to a customer who ordered after we told him to close. 5 stars I placed a to-go order from here for my family, and honestly -- the food was very good. Everything was fresh, hot, and packed with flavor. I wouldn't expect anything less, especially since I've dined at the Jameson's location in Santa Monica before. The quality and consistency were right on point! Drove my wife and daughter to the Chris Stapleton concert at the Bowl. I was looking for a Starbucks or McDonalds where I could get though some emails and saw this place. And with a Happy Hour. So I sit down and realize that they serve Smithwicks [pronounced smid icks] as we were told in Ireland. One of our favorites so I sat down and had a couple. NO, i did not get through any emails. I did meet a couple of guys and had a conversation and enjoyed my night as a last minute FREE Uber driver for my fam. I rarely hangout in Hollywood, but during a night out we'd walked past and it looked lovely and I thought it'd make a good spot for football on Sundays. One weekend I was back down for a show at the Pantages and definitely wanted to make this part of my day, so I stopped in and it was midday, so it wasn't as lively, but still had a good ambience and pretty nice menu to fulfill my lunch needs. I must admit, that my when I was remembering back to the night I saw it lively, what I though was the football hangout was actually the bar next door and the two seemed to blend together in my head, but nonetheless, this would be a decent spot for sports as well. Jameson's Irish Pub is a fun spot with great music right on Hollywood Blvd. In the middle of all the action, their location offers a lot to do both before and after your visit. We ended up here after doing a short bus tour of Hollywood/Los Angeles. While we only stayed for a drink, our time was memorable. This isn't a bar I'd go out of my way to check out, but it's a convenient stop when you're in the area. They also have a beer pong table if you're interested in that. A $5 Irish coffee!? I'm in! As it turns out, they have a 'rainy day special' which is just that- a ridiculously amazing price for a perfect rainy day drink. Yay! I came in around 3pm on a Thursday after a bus tour left me colder than expected- seriously, bundle up on those!- and was so excited to get warm with the added bonus of caffeine & whiskey. The bartender made two and presented them, which made me worried that I had asked for two. I asked as much and he explained it was happy hour, aka 2-for-1. Ahhh ok, makes sense. He asked for $14 and change and I said I just wanted the one, the rainy day special as advertised. I even offered one to the gentleman on the next stool! The bartender had to literally go outside to see what sign I was referring to, after which he came back and took one drink away, lowering the price to $5 and change. Walked back to a quiet corner where a friendly server checked if I wanted anything more, and after confirming I didn't, left me to my self. I gotta say- I love that little corner in the back! Just far enough from the front door to relax from the wetness/coldness outside and near at least 4 screens and some pretty epic music- great selection of rock/alternative music. I actually wish I had a laptop- I could have easily done some work with a little head bopping every so often. Also gotta love the unexpected vegan and vegetarian menu options! When a friend of mine called and asked about the cover charge they said there was none. It was super crowded and loud during the event. Seating at Jameson's is crowded. The venue is noisy, too--patrons spill from outdoor seating onto the sidewalk. In the area around the pub, look for broken glass; be prepared to smell urine. A drunken patron assaulted me with his electric scooter on the sidewalk. Recently, there have been documented underage drinkers. read more

I also love how there's always regulars and out of towners here, so always a fun mix of peoples! Plus only restaurants to stay open through all this virus crap! I truly hate that I have to write a review like this, however this is one of the worst bars I've ever been to. It's the only one of its kind in the are so I had high hopes. There was a man outside who checked IDs and never once looked up at me or my bf to welcome us, never broke conversation, nor said "hello" back to me. Already I knew it wasn't going to be pleasant. However! There was a taller man who said hi to us once we were in. He was just passing by and had a work shirt on. I believe he might've been a manager? Anywho, we sit down at the bar and I notice that the menus and bar top are so sticky! I hesitantly looked over the menu, huge selection with great deals! They have a champagne brunch which I'm sure would be great for someone. My bf ordered a beer and I ordered a Jameson and ginger ale- because duh! Welp... the ginger ale was so flat! I took a sip and had my bf take a sip to be sure! I let our bartender know and he just walked away? I guess he ended up tasting for himself because he made me a new one and dumped the old one out. I asked "it was flat right?" And he said "it must've been the lines. I changed it and it's good now." Welp... had another and this one was ALSO FLAT!! I let the guy know and he just said "SERIOUSLY?!" I ended up chugging my flat drink and Jameson to meet up with family elsewhere, but I didn't get a "sorry" or anything. The music that they played was ALL OVER the place. I could not stop laughing at it. They need to pick an avenue and stick to it. The interior is ok. Reliable, clean, okay with a little rowdy. Came here on a Friday around 3:30pm. They were able to accommodate almost 25 of us without any issues. The bar tenders especially Kevin were on top of it. Banging out drinks left and right! The blonde bartender was amazing as well, dancing and singing with me. I didn't order any food, but it is an option that looked decent. They have plenty of seating, TV's and a beer pong table. Not fancy by any means but I had a great time, and it didn't break the bank. I didn't give them 5 stars because nothing was out of the ordinary amazing, but I would definitely come back again. *They do not allow happy hours on Holidays.
