I love this trail. It's a relatively short but beautiful paved trail that goes mostly along the railroad tracks, but through a few stretches of mature deciduous forest, and a couple extensive wetland areas, one at each end of the path.
The path is fabulous for birdwatching, especially as it goes through Phillips park, but also at several other points on the path.
It's also convenient for travelling through town on bike.
If you live in Newark, I highly recommend checking this path out, and I especially recommend checking out Phillips park, at the Southwest end of the path. read more
