Hiking path

Had lots of fun hiking at the state park this past weekend with a group of ~20 people. We started from the PA side of the park and went through several trails (see picture), mostly in the DE side - Charles Bailey, David English, Whitely Farms, Snow Goose, Nature Preserve back to the parking lot. The trails are clearly marked, muddy and somewhat slippery after the morning rain. I had a hard time to catch up with the group, as I concentrated on looking at the ground to avoid falling. There were some hilly roads on the David English and Whitely Farms trails, but afterwards, the roads became smoother. We passed by the Nature Center on the way back and the volunteer tour guide showed us one of his pets, a bubbly and friendly orange snake, very cool! We also passed by other people running, walking and hiking on the trails! There are many trail options and seems suitable for anyone who wants to do a short, medium or long hikes in a couple hours.

I could get lost here for days and be ok with it. We came with a group, which was perfect. It looks like many of the trails were great for walking, running, biking, your dogs and even horses. All of the trails were clean, safe and every one we saw was so nice and said hello. Can't wait to come back! Ps Hi jule and ang

Such a pretty park

Great park. I know we probably didn't even see half. Had great trails for walking and mountain biking. We weren't bothered w any mosquitos! It has pretty steams and big rocks to climb out on. Its clean offers a map. The pay system is set up in each parking area. It was only 8 bucks for two of us. A lot of maintenance goes into the trails and keeping them passable. The ranger patrols each area so pay and if you don't I'm sure the ticket will cost you more in the long run.

Haven't explored the whole park yet but definitely found some new running trails. You could get lost in this place for hours and be okay with it.

Perfect park for trail running, biking, fishing, birding or just enjoying the outdoors.

beautiful views ! a great park for a nice walk. with or without pets…read more you get the greens from the beautiful park and the blues from the water. nice trail and pretty easy. quiet and not too busy. i love the lighthouse! also beautiful bird sounds and other animal encounters.

Summer time is in full swing and that means it's time to go camping. Now I'm no camping pro but I…read morerecently had the opportunity to camp with my family at Elk Neck State Park and we had a great time. The camp ground provides a few different options for your camping needs. Whether you're in the mood for the full camping experience with no electricity or if you would prefer an electrical site to plug in all your goods. The sites offer a decent amount of space for you to spread out with all of your gear. Each site has a fire pit to do some grilling and roast marshmallows and a table with benches, to hang out and enjoy your meals. A bath house with showers are also in each loop, and they're actually pretty well kept, aside from the bugs running around, which is expected. You'll occasionally see the park rangers riding around throughout the day to keep an eye on things, and they're all really friendly. If you're looking to get outside and rough it for a few days or take a much needed break from the stress of the world at trip to Elk Neck for a beautiful camping trip is the way to do it.
