We love going hiking here as a family with our little dog. This park is a nice hiking spot pretty much all year round.

We took our Scout troop on a hike here recently. We took the yellow and red trails, which connect, from the nature center downhill to the Brandywine Creek and then back up the hill into the meadow by the parking lot. The trail was well maintained and parking was easy. The trail was long enough to get a good hike in but would be easy enough with smaller kiddos.

Nice trails for walking and biking. People were fishing and kayaking. Dogs there too. Fun if you like all of the above :)

This playground is absolutely amazing. Tons to do for kids to run around- and it's all wooden…read more There are giant tires, picnic tables and the ground is filled in with really fine pebbles so kids can't run as fast. Not sure if that was by design but it's a fact ;-) There are also bathrooms on site and the library is a hop away. We had an excellent time.

This playground was recommended by my son's chiro's office. Just as a place to go, nothing chiro…read morespecial about it. There is a lot of large equipment, but not a whole lot of variety or imagination in the different interactive functions. Reeves Park's playground (Phoenixville), Smith Memorial Playground (Fairmount Park), Freedom Playground (Haverford), and Aston Twp's new playground all have really imaginitive stuff, and just as large of an expanse (if not larger). I also have to give props to the Reeves Park and Freedom playgrounds for being fenced in (Smith is, but it's so big, the fence is not as containing as it could be). Kids Dream is not fenced, unfortunately, because it is a layer of safety I always appreciate, for young kids who run, and also just to keep out wandering dogs (the ones on a long leash whose caretakers aren't paying attention) or to dissuade sketchy people from hanging around (sorry but they're everywhere). There is a nearby walking trail, and it's also adjacent to township offices (shared parking lot). I do have to comment that there was a bit of litter generally around, which is never okay for a kids' playground. Also, this playground is pretty crowded. Parents seemed adequately considerate, but honestly, all the abovementioned playgrounds had a better vibe to me. Maybe because this place was built up by my recommendation and the reviews, but it wasn't as great as my expectations (and comparative experiences).

Walk around its looping trail. It is well-kept and has markers for distance and even a few obstacle courses on the side. There's water if its a hot day. Sit by the river and watch the day pass. The view is simply outstanding. There are a number of swinging benches and regular old wooden benches. The river goes in and out with the tide. It's really quite stunning. There is a man-made lake at the heart of the park. It's fun to walk around. A lot of wildlife, particularly water fowl. I used to chase them as a kid, but now I just admire them. There's a lot of places to just lounge the day away. After school, I used to go lay under the weeping willow tree at the southside of the lake. Hours I would spend there, sleeping, reading, making out with my girlfriend. You should go and chill out.

The park is well maintained, has plenty of areas for kids as well as adults to be active, enough benches throughout the park and waterfront trail to accommodate most people visiting. The view of the Delaware River and the Delaware Memorial Bridge is pleasant and enjoyable, especially in the evening. I'm a park fan and visit plenty between here and Burlington. This is one of my favorites.

The pavilion area includes clean public restrooms and outdoor grills perfect for casual sports activities. The paved trails cater to various activities such as walking, running, dog walking, and biking. My favorite thing to do here is grab lunch and sit in the picnic area relaxing on my lunch hour. Can be hard to go back to work on a gorgeous day, but well worth it in my book! There is one "not recommended" review...I have no idea what this person is talking about, this park is VERY well maintained. Grass is cut, the place is clean and the park ranger is never far from sight.
