More than average quantities of ommats at the bottom of the slides here too, which is useful when you have a one year old who wants to do the big kid slides but can't always land on his feet. The trails leave much to be desired, probably the most underwhelming 'trails' I have been on. The place has a claustrophobic feel. Long and narrow, surrounded by a busy street on one side and a neighborhood on the other, fences either side of path as it narrows to a turnaround point. More like the trail a toddler could begin on. Feels like I'm in someone's backyard really. Not scenic at all if don't you get my drift by now. And I guess I've come to realize after visiting many trails in parks that the environmental beauty largely correlates to our enjoyment. So if I come here, it's for the playground equip mainly.

The walking paths are too short and the park is small to do any serious speed walking or running, but plenty of grass area for pets to roam around and park benches along the way in case you want to sit down and take in the scenery. I liked how clean and well kept this park is. I didn't see a single dog poop anyway. There's a playground area and a couple of picnic tables right by the parking lot/entrance area.

However, this review is for the owners. The young boy Shawn that works there should not be interacting with children. Other than his cocky personality and continuous strife to show up 11 & 12 yr old boys, he literally hit an 8 year old girl in the face during dodge ball who cried. I spoke to him, but even wearing his Christian shirt his attitude was disgusting. I had to walk out. Owners seem great, but I hope they remedy the situation.

They have mini golfing where you can rent equipment inside the facility. They have a great playground area and outdoor fitness equipment. Inside the facility, they have a free pool and gym area. They offer a variety of classes such as yoga, water aerobics, etc. Make sure to check out their website or pick up their schedule at the facility for hours of operation. For first timers, you will have to fill out a form and don't forget to bring a large sized towel for workouts! There's a really great large dog park next door but there's no entrance to the dog park from Mary Jo Peckham. You would have to park at the Katy Library to enter the dog park. What I really love about the facility is that its a place where everyone can drop in to practice, hang out, build skills or have a friendly game among family and friends. We called and spoke to them, and they found the bag and promised they would keep it until our next tournament since we live an hour and 15 min away. We are here today and the manager cannot find it. He said sorry, they don't usually keep things for people and that the janitor trashed it. That's the complete opposite of what they told us on the phone. If you want to run a "first-class" facility to take care of players and their families, this is not how you handle things. That bag had over $50 worth of supplies in it we needed. The only issue is during summer the volleyball courts get packed after around 5. I'd also like to mention that the park shares the parking lot with a police station which makes it one of the most secure places to leave your car when you hit the cycling trails.
