10/10 would recommend! Best fried pickles EVER, as I'm typing this my mouth starts to water because I KNOW they're that good.

Always good food and friendly service. I like the option of calling ahead and picking up at the window.

Brisket was dry but lucky their barbeque sauce is good. If you're going to eat here just buy a bucket of coleslaw, it's really good.

The BBQ baked potato is to die for. Meats are good and sides are good also. Great small town place to eat.

Simmons Bar-Be-Cue - Loaded bbq potato with pork

And the beans equally tiny. Yes, the sandwich tasted fine. There was little to no sauce and a dab of slaw. After reading good reviews, pretty disappointing.

Like I said, this operation is drive-through only, so all meals are made to-go. I got mine shortly after work for a late lunch. City harbor is a short drive away, so I toodled over there for a view of the water while I ate. The drive through line moved quickly enough. The menu has bbq, the less fancy bbq sides (beans, slaw, chips), family pack meals for a variety of crowd sizes, as well as loaded potatoes and nachos. I selected a pork loaded baked potato with a Diet Pepsi (iirc - don't think it was Coke). I think my lunch ~$12, which isn't too bad for the serving sizes. The lady at the drive through was polite and welcoming. My pork tater was quite large and came with liquidy butter, cheese, and dollops of sour cream and bacon bits on top. The bacon bits, while the pre-packaged salad garnish kind, are a pleasant surprise - you don't often get those on bbq taters without asking. The potato was cooked nicely, still warm and soft. I genuinely enjoyed the Que, enough so that I'd get it on a sandwich or on a plate without the goodness of a potato there as backup, lol. I don't like bbq sauce on my taters but I did dip a small piece of pork in the cup they gave me. It's a more vinegar based sauce, but it had enough sweetness to it that I still enjoyed it. Thanks for a quick, easy, and tasty lunch!

This is the best BBQ pork that I've eaten at a restaurant, succulent, delicate, smokey, flavorful, esthetically appealing, and it makes me wish that we had something like this in the Atlanta area. I love fried okra, when it's cooked properly, and with that comes critical feedback; their version reminds me of how my grandmother made her fried okra (and that's the standard I use to measure all others by.) The mixed greens had a slight hint of smoky ham hock, probably could have benefitted from a little more salt, but I understand that some people have to watch their sodium intake so I bet the restaurant leaves that up to the customer. Our server was a delight, very smiley and cheery, welcoming, etc. Inside, it feels like they have preserved history and married it to classy modernity. The next time I visit Albertville, this will be on the to-do list. Keep up the good work, folks!

One piece of advice, is avoid the baked beans. They're a bit overly sweet. And to me baked beans should have some bacon in them or something like that. These disappointed a bit. But the barbecue is phenomenal. And to be honest, the thing that really stole the show was at noon they play the national anthem and everybody stands to face the flag, I love the patriotic atmosphere and you can tell that this place is run by people who care. Not do they only put pride in their food, but you can tell that they have pride in their country and I'm coming back just for that reason alone!

We paid several hundred dollars upfront for a funeral lunch. The agreement? They deliver and set up by 2:30 PM. The reality? They heroically informed us the day before that they took another order, so delivery was no longer an option. No apology, no refund -- just "come get it yourself." When we arrived? The order wasn't ready. Food was missing. The banana pudding? Basically banana soup -- completely inedible. And the grand finale? The tea, proudly served in repurposed mayonnaise and Worcestershire sauce containers. Spoiler: the tea tasted exactly like Worcestershire sauce. No apology. No accountability. No effort to make it right. Just bad service, bad attitudes, and condiment-flavored beverages. If you want your special occasion catered by a business that walks hard... away from professionalism and customer service, Tim's Walk Hard BBQ is your spot. We walked hard... straight to another store to buy drinks and salvage what was left of the afternoon.

When we drove up, we could smell the hickory smoke and saw the smoker on the sidewalk in front. When we walked in, we were told that menus are on the checkout counter, so I went to grab 2, but before we knew it, the uncle of the owner started reading every item on the menu for an uncomfortably long time. I'm a visual guy so I need to read menus at my own pace. We ordered the lunch combo - 1/2 lb. smoked brisket with 2 sides, 1 sauce, and a fountain drink are included. My wife had the 4 rib lunch with 1 side, 1 sauce, and a drink. There are 4 sauces to choose from. I chose the hot & spicy that was thin and mild; my wife chose the "Bama sauce", a white vinegar & salad dressing sauce that was good. I chose the Brussels sprouts hash and warm German potato salad that were both delicious, and my favorite menu items overall! I was surprised to see the brisket in a foil-wrapped packet next to the bun thinking that this method kept the meat hot, but when I opened the packet, the meat was not hot, but nicely smoked. The brisket was unusually cut into pellet- sized pieces that were slightly dry, under seasoned, and undercooked to my liking, and kept falling out of the bun. I would have preferred the traditional sliced brisket sandwich piled high with some topping choices like homemade pickles, hot peppers, etc. On the positive side, my wife's ribs were huge and they even threw in a few burnt ends. I tried one and thought it was also under seasoned and dry. My wife loved her ribs and said it was tender and juicy! The ambiance is quirky and uninviting with a bar behind the checkout and a few tables. There was a paper sign arrow in the back showing that they have a patio, but you have to walk through a storage area and past the restroom to get there. There were 3 or 4 picnic tables and 1 small bar-height table with 2 chairs. We didn't realize until we left that they served wine and beer until we saw a beer sign over the bar. I'm assuming this place is fairly new and they've got some kinks to work out, but if you go, I'd recommend the ribs and sides!
