Very expensive now compared to the past but oh of course it is due to the COVID pandemic. This Jamba Juice is located in the middle of the Penn Station near the Amtrak stations. There were no customers when I got there and they did my drink pretty fast. I ordered an Açaí Super Antioxidant smoothie and it cost me $10.88 for a medium size after taxes. I think it is pretty expensive and this smoothie is not really worth it for every day consumption. It is meant for a nice treat once in a while. The smoothie is very sweet and can taste a lot of the açaí. The cool thing about the smoothie is the new cup design. It is not transparent plastic anymore like how it was. read more

Every time I take the train, I always stop at this jamba juice. I was so happy when it opened a few years ago because I am convinced that a smoothie is the perfect travel/meal snack! Super easy to carry around and it fits great on the little tray tables on the train. I hate bringing sometime messy on the train since you have such little space. Today, I got my favorite smoothie here... the strawberry surf rider. It is soooo good on a hot summer day! They were very quick to make my drink. When the lady was pouring it out, it was extremely watery. She immediately dumped it out and made another one. Always been a fan of Jamba Juice. For maybe a few months, Jamba Juice took over Moe's location upstairs on the Amtrak Level. This Jamba Juice has a section for sitting down and enjoying your order. I remember walking past last week and saw a poster promoting $5 smoothie. I decided to swing by here with my colleague. There's a stand with the $5 smoothie poster promotion...cash only! I am not sure if the flavors change but today are Caribbean Paradise, Mango Go Go and Apples & Kale. Me and colleague had a sample of the Caribbean and Mango. I stopped here for an acai bowl before taking Amtrak. There is a small seating area for customers of Jamba Juice, which is nice. The service was less than friendly and the acai bowl was on the smaller side and light on the toppings. I got the nutty almond butter bowl with extra toppings so that it wouldn't be so light. Penn Station is a total chaos, so I can't believe that I willingly surf this crowd for Jamba Juice, but. I do it! There's never been a line, yet I do have to wait a bit for my drink. I came for a bowl of sorts because I really wanted something not too heavy and not too light. I didn't eat breakfast or lunch and I was starting to get antsy with my cravings. I found the customer service to be a tad stingy. I ordered a bowl without one of the main ingredients and still had to pay full price. When the girl made the almond nutty bowl I asked if I could have a little bit of shredded coconut on top. She made a big stink about how I'd have to pay extra for that, and then I reminded her that I did the bowl without the granola, and she had no problem adding the topping thereafter. Sure I may have jumped the gun when I got down on my knee, all teary eyed, begging my Mango-a-go-go to marry me in front of confused colleagues... and sure the love songs I wrote you may have been a bit too intense... but the heart can't help how it feels. After weeks of depending solely on you, Jamba, to fulfill everything my life needed (from nutrition to love) I voluntarily checked into J.J.A (Jamba Juice Anonymous) and slowly weaned myself off of my dependency for you. My first experience with this place make me cry and journey all over the city for a Jamba Juice that had oatmeal (Aka see review of other Jamba Juice for details but my first encounter kind of went something like, Me: "oatmeal?" JJ Employee: "No. We're out." Me: :( WTH? !?!?! Today, I went to try their third deal advertising for a fruit & yogurt probiotic blend. She gave me the option of strawberry, blueberry, manga and some others I think but all I heard was MANGO and went for it! She asked for my name which I thought was weird o.O Then I realized, you order in one area and then pick up in another. The employee on the pick up counter calls out your name and you pick up your drink/food. At the pick up location, you can spy and get ideas on how they make your drink and if it's really freshly blended. It is! Funnily enough, I was the only one there and I was waiting for my yogurt blend and she screamed at me while I was standing right in front of her LOL XD I guess she wanted to verify that I was that said person. I thought it was pretty good. The texture of the yogurt and mango was smooth and tasty! I would come back to try their other flavors. Amidst the communting masses of LIRR, a beacon of hope and light has emerged.. Jamba Juice. No seriously, I have been waiting for the day they would put one in penn station. I discovered Jamba Juice about a year ago while roaming the city between classes. My eyes were open to their delicious smoothies. (or my mouth, that would make more sense) They're quick (which is especially important since I have trains to catch) but the quality is great too. I came here asking for a cup of water, and he man at the counter said he'd only give me one if I bought something. He said it was against the rules and that his manager would see. So I went to the other guy making the drinks and asked him. He said it was fine and went to get me one, but the cashier yelled and said not to give me a water. Some of the absolute worst customer service I have ever had to deal with. Sales person rang up my order then proceeded to make smoothies for about 15 other customers who came after me. I waited patiently for as long as I could but after 20 minutes it seemed like nothing was happening. She then has the nerve to ask me if I'm "waiting for something" - which I wouldn't mind if she hadn't personally taken my order. The same girl then proceeds to walk away into the back of the store to yap with another girl working there leaving myself and several customers waiting indefinitely. This has become my FAVORITE Jamba store. I've been to a few that is less...well for the sake of not just mouthing off which I will probably do in the next few sentence anyway...lacking proper training in making smoothies. First of all, when you are paying oh I don't know around $8 for a Power size, you better make DAMN sure you fill that shyt to the top. Dirty glancing at you (Union Square location). With that being said the only places that have filled it up to the top because their managers are ON POINT in monitoring their staff one might go to 1 of 2 locations. The Midtown West and Penn Station location. I will add more locations to this list when/if I try more locations. Remember to ask for a loyalty card at this location as the 6th drink you buy is on the house. Getting to this Penn Station location you would have to go to the level where people are waiting for the LIRR trains. It is directly across from Charley's Grilled Subs and next to Carlton's Card shop. It is one of their smaller store locations but between customer service and quality of their pours I dare you to find a better Jamba store location.
