Since it was so fast and not clearly identified, I wasn't sure it was mine. A bit more clarity would've helped but it was fast and I was craving an acai bowl. read more

The one and only time I bought a Mango smoothie from Jamba Juice at the airport, it was a phenomenal experience. I had a free smoothie birthday coupon that almost expired since there are no Jamba Juices near home, but I remembered it as I was passing the JJ in CLT's terminal A while waiting for my flight back home. Technically, the coupon was for a small smoothie, but the smoothie machine and fruit measurements made more servings than a small smoothie. Any other jamba location would have given me a small smoothie and thrown away the rest (I can confirm by experience). Instead, the worker lady gave me a medium glass and gave me all of the smoothie juice instead of throwing it away. Wow, amazing. Personally, jamba juice is too expensive for me so I don't see myself going back especially with the hundreds of food options at CLT. But, I definitely had a great one time experience. read more

One of my friends always buys the acai bowl. She is always encouraging me to try their bowls. I bought one and am hooked! Got the pintura bowl which is dragon fruit. All of their bowls are 500 calories or less. The pintura is 410 and the acai is 510. It was so good. Has the right amount of sweet, crunchy, and fruity to satisfy your palate. In the past while traveling for pleasure or for business I would stop by this place to grab a juice or some oatmeal. In the past the service was horrible, the staff was over condescending and rude overall. I actually stopped grabbing my drink from here for almost 2 years now until recently. They have an entire new crew of ladies a couple of them are older ladies who are very sweet. Don't get me wrong this place isn't the fasted when it comes to getting you IN and OUT which is odd considering the fact that they are located in an airport and should be extra prompt as people are trying to make flights. I for one ensure I have a little time to stop and order and chat with the ladies as they are very vocal. I tend to get fresh juiced juice to kick off my morning and prepare me for my day once at my destination. I can't complain about the drink, I will only say that it could be strained a little more and strained over ice like Red Mango does to provide a chill to the juice. I'll suggest this to them next week and hopefully they won't push back and could start doing this if I plan to stop there each week. read more

I love Jamba Juice!! I hadn't been since I lived in NYC for a year in college. I would pass it every day as I headed home, it was awesome. When I discovered it at CLT I was excited since I frequent CLT about once a month to visit the bf. Usually if I am leaving CLT it means I am leaving him so, I tend to drown my sorrows in a Caribbean Passion smoothie (well, and a Cinnabon but, that's besides the point). I'll be honest, I haven't strayed much from the Caribbean Passion; I use to try other flavors but none of them tasted as good to me! I've visited this Jamba Juice in the CLT airport a few too many times! On probably 95% of my trips through Charlotte, I've felt the need to get one because there isn't one near me in Philadelphia and it seems to be the perfect layover snack. There are plenty of options for everyone's taste: dairy or non, tropical, berry-based, chocolate-based, etc. They come in sizes from small to freaking humongous. You can always add in a powder for additional vitamins, energy, or protein. These drinks really can substitute for a meal - given their nutritional value and stomach-filling qualities! If it's not a shake you're craving, there are pastries, muffins, pretzels, etc. that are also delicious but probably not as nutritious. Check it out - you won't be disappointed. read more

Glad to finally get my Jamba on in Charlotte! After growing accustomed to the delicious and vaguely healthy fruit smoothies from Jamba in the Bay area, I had forgotten about this chain after I moved to NC. Lo and behold, I'm flying through CLT and what do I spy?! The brightly colored, deliciously aroma'ed Jamba Juice as an airport option. I immediately drop all thoughts of an egg mcmuffin and head on to the Jamba counter. At $5.80 it's not cheap for a smoothie but I figure way more healthy than my other options. I order up a Caribbean Passion smoothie which takes five or ten minutes. I get a smooth, flavorful and fruit-packed beverage in a styrofoam cup, makes me feel like I'm back in the Financial District of San Francisco. Flavor-wise it was right on the money so Jamba is still delivering a great taste experience here on the east coast, can you give me a woohoo!? In the past I have always enjoyed getting a smoothie from Jamba, but on this occasion while flying through Charlotte a few things happened that were disappointing. First, the person taking our order only put one of the two drinks we ordered into the system so when picking up our order we did not receive everything we thought we would be getting. Then they told us to go to the back of the line (roughly 20 parties) to reorder the missing drinks which we were unable to do as our flight was about to board. In addition, what we received was disappointing as it was the consistency of water and the cup was not even full. Seemed like they gave us someone else's order that was not picked up a few hours prior... Definitely seemed like a waste of $$ for the poor quality of the product. Best advice I can give for this location is KEEP WALKING. This location is understaffed and under-qualified to give quality drinks and service. So you will be waiting a long time for your order. And the drink you expect to taste the same as other Jamba Juices will not be the same. It will be some made up hybrid that you most likely will consider throwing away on the trash. So save your money. When I ordered 2 large veggie vitality drinks, she said she isn't going to make those drinks for me because it takes too long to prepare. Danger Sign #1 I said I can wait. And so she took the next guys order to make me wait. Danger Sign#2 Then once she started working on my order, I noticed it wasn't looking anything like the drink I have ordered many times from other Jamba locations. Danger Sign#3 Then I asked why I was being charged $18.81 for 2 large drinks with prices shown as $6.99 each on their menu. Seems like a very large taxation of $4.81 Danger Sign#4 She said there's nothing she can do to change the price on her register even though it doesn't match their menu. I was thirsty so I paid and asked for a receipt. She said she's unable to print receipts. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the smoothie that I got. It tasted fine, fresh, blahblah, all of that. The two stars is for the staff. There were a lot of them, and they didn't seem to want to wait on customers. I'm pretty sure a few people left while they were waiting for the staff to notice them. But that's not even that bad, because like I said, the end product was good. The real kicker is that NOBODY behind the counter, not a single person of the 6-8 people behind the counter knew whether they had a non-dairy milk product. I posed this question, trying to see what could be substituted in lieu of the cow milk or the yogurt, both of which would send me to the restroom for an unpleasant while (not something you want in general, much less when you're about to board a plane). You'd think I'd asked them to solve for the derivative of something. The looks on their faces were almost painful to see. I don't understand. Did these people grow up in a cave? How do you not know what "dairy" means and what products come from cows and which don't? Finally, someone spoke up and asked if soy milk was dairy and from cows. Seriously. You can't make this stuff up. Turns out they had almond milk as well. Apparently they thought almond milk was also from a cow. The drink was fine. I'd still come back here, but I'd really recommend watching your order and make sure they make it correctly. read more
