They have a few tables inside, and a small seating area outside, but really this is a to-go restaurant. The entrees are somewhat pricey, but each large entree feeds 2-3 and it is good quality food. We chose to order both of today's specials plus a couple appetizers. We loved every item. The meat was so tender and the flavors were so powerful. Let me tell y'all something... don't under estimate the pictures for this place. I'm so sad I ate my food so fast and I was enjoying it so much that I forgot to take a picture. The food is AMAZING! From NY, California, Oregon, North, South, West, and East.... This place is #1 on my list and all I had is the jerk chicken. Delicioso !! We're in town for the eclipse and decided to eat here. We've never tried Jamaican food, this place was amazing !! We got a bit of EVERYTHING!! We ordered plantains, brown stew meal, mild chicken curry, cocoa bread (order 2 !) oxtails meal, and jerk chicken, oh and 4 beef patties. Also some Jamaican beverages to suck it all down. Beef Patties - Delicious YUMM ! I tiny bit spicy. My middle child thought to spicy for her so I ate hers too! And I'm not that good at spice but it's enough that water will make it go away. Oxtails - YUMMMM ! The flavor of it was flavorful and the consistency of the meat I loved. These oxtails didn't have as much fat on it like other ones I've had and than we soaked the awesome sauce up with the cocoa bread. The Mild Chicken Curry - THIS was me and my middle one's FAVORITES of all the food. The rice was heaven. I don't even like beans and now I know, I like them in my rice !! We also got the Ricota (sorry, think I spelled it wrong) and used it to soak up the rice, chicken and gravy. AMAZEBALLS !! Next time I'll say no salad or cabbage on any of it. We chose to sit outside, they have several tables and a covered patio, but they do also have a small amount of indoor seating. I had the chicken curry, which was on the "mild" menu. All the food comes out in takeout containers. I ordered spicy curry chicken and beef patty and my roommate ordered curry goat and beef patty. No soda machine. Can soda and water bottle. It is little bit expensive but large portion of food. We decided to seat inside the tiny restaurant at one of three tables in the restaurant. I believe there are outdoor tables for sitting. Moved to Burleson about a year ago and saw this Jamaican restaurant and have wanted to try it since! As a child growing up in Louisiana my parents were friends with a husband and wife who owned a Jamaican restaurant with the BEST meat pies! Let me tell you the meat pies were amazing! We were out in Burleson Texas Saturday afternoon and we look over and we see this quaint, colorful, building that just takes you back to Jamaica lots of eating outside and there is seating inside. So last night, my husband, and one of my friends, we all went to dinner and decided to try this place. The girl upfront was very sweet and explained a lot of the food. The place is very small, so it was kind of difficult if you have more than one person in that building, but the decor was very inviting. Now onto the food they have a very limited menu, which is understandable since it is a small business I ordered beef oxtails, which comes with rice and peas and carrots, and a salad or cabbage. I got cabbage, but when I got my food, it wasn't cabbage. It was a salad so I was fine, the oxtail was six dollars so I was expecting a big amount of oxtails and unfortunately there was not a lot of oxtails. I felt like my Mail was probably a good maybe 12 or $15 chicken but he wishes it was chicken curry with rice on the bottom and instead separately, my friend got the spicy jerk chicken which she said was spicy but the flavors were very off even though the food was OK not come back here again, especially considering how much we spent but very disappointed that the food was not as fresh! read more

There are very few restaurants to write home about in Burleson, Texas. Well, save for Jamaican Summers. I've traveled to Jamaica and have an affinity for the local cuisine. I try to stop at Jamaican dives whenever I see one. This place surpasses any Jamaican food I've had in Jamaica or stateside. It is hands down the best. That makes the prices and odd hours they are open a little more palatable. The Red Stripe Jerk Pork is my favorite dish with the Jerk Chicken right behind it. Their Roti (essentially Jamaican panna bread) is phenomenal and makes a nice addition to the entrees when ordered. This is our go-to Jamaican restaurant. We've tried all the others in the DFW area and they don't compare. Our friends laughed at us for saying we drive to Burleson to get Jamaican food until they finally tried the food themselves. I can't count how many times we've been here in the last 2 years. Everything we've tried is good! The fried plantains? OMG! Perfect combination of sweet and salty. Go ahead and order when you first sit down because these are going to come out piping hot. I'm a brown stew chicken girl and my hubby does oxtails. The stewed chicken literally falls off the bones and is perfectly seasoned (you'll see the bay leaves mixed in with your food so you know it's real). Oxtails are always meaty and tender. Every now and then we've switched things up and had curry chicken and jerk chicken which were both yummy. My kids love their rice and peas so much that we always ask for an extra bowl of rice with their kids meals. Portion sizes are generous. Of course you can't leave without grabbing a patty with coco bread. You have to get these earlier in the day because they go fast. Overall I love this place. You see the same friendly faces when you go and the food is consistently good because you have the same people in the kitchen cooking every day. The place is quaint but the vibe is great.
