This is probably the best spot in Miami to get a Jamaican patty. I came here right when they opened and ordered a dozen Jamaican patties. It was so convenient because I had a Caribbean themed birthday party to go to that was a potluck and had to bring something on theme. Everyone loved them, they were so excited that I brought the patties. Unfortunately, I didn't snap a pic of the patties with all the excitement from the party. But if you are looking for authentic Jamaican food, this is the spot to checkout. They are located in the shopping center off sunset and 87th. The only reason I gave 4 stars was because they are supposed to open at 11:00 am and the person that opened the store was 5 minutes late.

Jerk Pork Fried Rice

Currently oxtail is a MUST and today I tried it with the shrimp and Chinese pork (bbq pork) and it was amazing! The curry chicken patty was flaky, flavorful and perfect! Service is always on point and the ambiance always gives off island vibes. Everyting irie. Enjoy!

OMFG. This place is ridiculously good!!! 1. Jerk chicken wings 8.5/10 2. Oxtail stew with rice and plantains 10/10. 3. Beef patties 10/10 Definitely get the spicy. It was so good I ate 2 and ordered more.

Jamaica Kitchen has been around for years, but today was my first time trying it. There aren't many places with really good beef patties, and I must say theirs were delicious. They also have plenty of lunch options to choose from. I had the jerk chicken with rice and peas, and it was pretty good too. Solid spot for Jamaican food!

Nice curry mon!

I can now say that I have been coming here for a while, if you see the evidence above. I was in the area, and I remembered these are some really good patties. It's still true today. I haven't had a chance to get my usual curry chicken, but maybe in the near future I will. The patties were amazing as always.

Pumpkin soup - delicious!!

I love all the food here. Today I got 2 lbs of freshly made jerk chicken sausage. It's the best jerk chicken sausage I've ever had and I've tried a few! It's not too spicy but you have a nice tingle in your mouth after eating it! I also had a spicy beef patty and a coconut water. The patty wasn't too spicy so that was great too!! The crust was nice and flaky!! Lunch time is busy so be prepared to wait!

Suey mein, a tasty Chinese Jamaican dish

Enjoyed a delicious meal of suey mein, a hearty Chinese Jamaican soup with pork, shrimp, egg roll slices, vegetables and noodles in a tasty broth. It was a weekday during lunchtime and was very busy. Casual, friendly atmosphere.

Yelpers I read reviews about this place and was highly disappointed with the food. Especially for the price they are charging. I ordered a the oxtail dinner for $26 , along with a Jamaican patty. The customer service was fine. It's more of a fast food spot so there is really no ambiance in the place. The patty was over cooked, dry and the crust was hard. The oxtail flavor was very bland. Rice was great! If I go back it would be to try something else but definitely not the oxtails.

If you want Authentic, look no further! The location is small but the customer service was amazing! The food was scrumptious! Nice Staff and Prompt Service! Great Portion Size!

Me and my girl came here yesterday 3/20/26 for the first time we saw it on instagram and the comments and food looked positive and all good so we decided to go try it and it was 10/10 the patties were what we expected and they fill them with meat inside which most places that make patties don't fill them much with meat back in the days my grandparents worked at 3 star bakery on marlin road in the 80's and 90's and this place took me back to that great real Jamaican taste .i can honestly say this is my new top pattie spot . the oxtail was fire good and the jerk chicken with rice amazing also we definitely recommend this place great food

I decided to give this place a try since it wasn't far from my hotel. I ordered a jerk chicken plate for $22. The chicken was quite tasty, and the plantains were delicious. However, I wish they had provided more than just two pieces of plantains with my $22 lunch. If there was a shortage and they were rationing the plantains, they could have offered a substitution instead. Overall, it was a decent meal--not the best I've ever had, but certainly not the worst. Since I'll be working in the area for a few more weeks, I'll consider giving this place another try if I can't find another Jamaican restaurant. The customer service was great.

Support your local, family-owned businesses! Jamaica Kitchen is one of my favorite spots for a home cooked, affordable lunch. You can't go wrong with their jerk chicken with rice and peas or any of their patties. The ladies are always so friendly and have a good attitude despite being very busy. It's a small spot in a strip mall next to Winn Dixie. No indoor seating (but a few tables outside) so your best bet is to pick up an order to go.

Oxtail, peas and rice with steam cabbage... Traveling from Charleston, SC and craving Jamaican food and this place didn't disappoint.

Love it! Just what I needed before leaving to go to Jamaica. Authentic and delicious food that I will forever savor.

The flavors were really hittin--not salty but definitely not lacking in flavor and complexity. So delicious The only criticism I would have from what I ordered is that the rice was ever so slightly undercooked which made it a bit dry. Other than that, everything was great. There's not really a server--you order and they text you when it's ready. Then you come pick it up and go to your table. But the cashier lady was very nice and helped me decide what to get.

If you're looking for something unique to try at the Citadel, Manjay is worth a shot. They serve Haitian cuisine. Portions were generous and in general, the food was kind of heavy. Many of the components I believe were made to order, so there was a short wait. Here's what my wife and I ordered: Appetizer: * Caribbean Conch Fritters ($14) - Manjay pikliz, honey mustard remoulade These were big and tasty. Six pieces, like giant hush puppies with conch inside. The plate came with pikliz in the center. Pikliz is like the Haitian version of coleslaw, made with cabbage, carrots, onions, and peppers. Manjay's version was spicy and yummy. Bowls, each with 2 sides and 1 sauce: * Honey Jerk Chicken Bowl ($18) - breaded and tossed in Manjay's homemade honey jerk sauce; with red beans rice and sweet plantains and scotch bonnet mango aioli * From Haiti with Love (Griyo) ($18) - Deep-fried Kreyol-style slow-braised pork; with banan payzay and toofay Both the chicken and pork were very good and flavorful. The pork was served bone-in. The rice and beans and sweet plantains were comforting and addictive. The scotch bonnet mango aioli was spicy. Banan payzay are Haitian pressed plantains. These were savory and starchy. The toofay ("legume") was good too. It's a hearty vegetable stew, essentially Haitian ratatouille. Our cashier was Roniqua and she was nice. During our visit, I think Manjay had the longest line (a good sign). After walking around, looking at the other food court options and seeing Manjay's high rating on Yelp, we were sold on Manjay. We dined in so we got real plates and silverware. We actually took everything up to the rooftop bar and ate up there. Our trays were bussed by the staff on the roof. Along with this location at the Citadel food court in Little River (just north of Little Haiti), Manjay has a casual strip location near the Miami airport in Doral. This Citadel location is the original; it opened in February 2019. The Doral location opened in 2024.

I got the tofu with rice and the spinach stew, and my boyfriend got the chicken with yellow cornmeal. We haven't had Haitian food, but we both enjoyed our entrees.
