Had to add a pineapple soda.

Vibe: amazing customer service, super friendly and helpful! They run out of items so go earlier in the day, lol. Food: amazing! Jerk chicken (white meat 5/5). My daughter has ranked them #2 after M&F (she likes the balance in their jerk sauce) I'm ranking them #1 (the customer service pushed them ahead of M&F in my opinion). The rice and peas as well as the cabbage were good. The chicken was definitely the star of the show, more spicy but also well seasoned down to the bone! Delicious! Just go. That's the post.

First time order from here. For lunch. It was amazing. Everything is fresh. Defiantly coming back. Service is good. Little bit of a wait. Well worth it. This was carry out.

Rice was dry... island fried chicken was regular fried chicken, I was sad

maybe I went to late or something but my rice was dry like falling off the fork dry smh. I ordered island fried chicken they were out of jerk chicken. the chicken was just fried chicken nothing special. the cabbage was just cabbage and carrots no special seasoning are anything. the chicken patty was the best thing. I wanted 20 minutes and I was very disappointed would try it again but I would rather not waste my money.

Located at the intersection of Broad St and Hungary Spring Rd. I ordered the goat with peas and rice and cabbage, plus a beef patty... You know the vibes lol. I COULD NOT STOP EATING. I was overstuffed when it was finally gone, but it was too good to stop. The goat was tender and cooked with the usual spices and tings and just a little bit of heat. I had the pleasure of chatting with Chelsea. She let me know they just celebrated their 1 year anniversary of being open here in Richmond! The place is simple in appearance, but if you want good hearty Jamaican food to go, this is definitely a place w worth checking out!

Large Curry Chicken and Oxtail Plates. Sooo good and perfectly seasoned!

This place is such a gem! It's family-owned and the woman who served me was so warm and welcoming. Beyond that, the food is outstanding - it was hot and fresh, plus the portions are great. Seriously, this place is 10/10. It's so great to have an authentic Jamaican spot in this area!

Walked into this place after picking up my alterations next door and was the best choice I made all day!! It seems like a hole in the wall where it is situated, but it's actually quite cozy inside with bar seating to look out the windows. There was a line when I stepped in, but considering there was only one lady working up front it was fast haha. She was friendly and got my food pretty quickly. The portions are generous even for a small. The jerk chicken and oxtail weren't overly oily which I have seen in other restaurants with this sort of food and had really good flavor. I'm not sure if jerk chicken is supposed to be spicier, but I was okay with the spice level. I could see others that might want more. Oxtail was amazing. I enjoyed the cabbage and there was so much rice that I'll probably have it for another meal. Couldn't get enough of the sauce. More sauce next time please!

We got the curry goat and jerk oxtail. Both are good but I wish the oxtail is much tender that it goes off the bone on its own and a little spice. The staff were really friendly and the service was fast, she told me food will be ready after 15 mins but I didn't wait that long. The store was clean and well-lit.

Jerk chicken, cabbage with rice and peas side of plantains.

Jerk chicken, cabbage with rice and peas. The chicken was ok, I could taste the scotch bonnet which I loved. The rice and peas tasted like water and so did the cabbage. There was no love in this Jamaican food, still edible but definitely no love. I will not be back.

I had been hearing about this spot in the West End...finally decided to give it a shot. Staff was super friendly and the restaurant was clean. It's more so of a takeout spot, so keep that in mind. They do DoorDash orders also. I ordered Jerk Chicken and a beef patty. All of my food was fresh and hot. I needed a little more jerk sauce on the chicken...other than that it was perfect. I'll be back!

Featuring a changing/rotating menu of cookies, pies, and cakes, this quaint shop was recently opened by a local Richmond family with the dream of feeding your soul one baked good at a time! At their soft opening over the weekend, I sampled just about everything they had to offer. Not only are the sweet tears gorgeous to look at, they are also ridiculously delicious. Of the three cookie choices, the dark chocolate chip cookie with sea salt was my favorite. Rich, buttery, with the perfect balance of salt, sweet, and semi-bitter dark chocolate. Perfectly crunchy edges with a soft, chewy center. The decadent Death by Chocolate brownie was also a knockout. I'm still trying to understand what voodoo magic was used to create the perfectly crisp edges and the sublimely moist, chewy center! While delectable by itself, I fully intend to go back for more to make a brownie sundae next time I need to eat my feelings. At the suggestion of one of the kiddos behind the counter, I opted for the carrot cake over the berry pie. Hard to go wrong here with this classic cake and it definitely did not disappoint. It's on par with any southern grandma's cake but only better! Pies and Cakes also does custom orders with advanced notice! Prior to the brick and mortar, we ordered cakes for several special occasions that were always as beautifully decorated as they were tasty! And as if all this weren't enough, they will have bi-monthly pizza pop ups featuring their very own homemade sourdough! Pizza nights will be pre-order only and will be announced via social media so make sure and follow for updates!

They've been in business for over two generations, and all of the ladies who work there are extremely friendly and they go above and beyond to provide outstanding customer service! I'm 70 years old, and if I were younger I would love to work there. They're doing it "ALL right" to still be in a thriving bakery business in our struggling times. I get my holiday orders in early, and once you become a regular customer you'll understand why! They work endlessly to make sure that they have taken care of their customers wants and needs long before Christmas Eve. They close the bakery from the afternoon on Christmas Eve, and they stay closed until after the New Year! We all realize how important it is for their staff to enjoy the holidays with their own families and friends, so we make sure that we're set with our bakery orders and needs before Christmas Eve. We'll be in line and happily waiting for them to open their doors again after the New Year! Thank you for the years of kindness and quality baked goods, coupled with outstanding customer service and hospitality In our community! Sincerely from, Kimberly Ann Hall
