Myself and 3 friends met for dinner and drinks and to watch the 1st game if the football season. We had margaritas and beer. The margaritas were just ok, nothing to write home about. We had a wings appetizer and split an order of steak and chicken fajitas along with a order of fish tacos. The 3 orders were sufficient for the 4 of us with drinks. We ended with flan for dessert. I think the food is great. 3 out of 5 times I have gone the service was not great sometimes there would be almost no one and the waitress still didn't check on us or I would have to get up and ask them for something.I have had some great experiences such as a character artist who drew my daughter and love it when they have live music but the prices are very high. read more

Just got back from lunch. My mum ordered pollo asada plate and I had the #4 combination of a taco, tostada, and beef enchilada. Servers were friendly and attentive enough but something's severely wrong in the kitchen. At first my mother was served and my own plate had been forgotten about. Ten minutes later, my own food was served. We were given no utensils to begin with, and when requested the knives had loose blades. When asked for a replacement, my mother was given a butter knife to cut her meat with. When asked for a replacement again we were informed that _all_ the knives in the restaurant had loose blades. The meat in the taco was unseasoned, and both of our plates had cold beans. The worst part was the tortillas. They were so stale that they were literally crispy. When I told the server, I was informed that the tortillas had been made a day previous, and stored in the refrigerator. Apparently this is standard operating procedure for their kitchen. I enjoyed my special quesadilla and my date enjoyed his borrego even though it was both our first time trying the dish. I enjoyed the over all atmosphere as well. The servers could of been a little bit more on their game but I know it was kind of late and the food did make up for the service. Its a good place for business,casual first date, and friends. This place was recommended to us by a local. I was confused by the contradictory reviews so my nephews and I went to see for ourselves. We were greeted as we walked in the door and promptly seated. Their margaritas were excellent, as were the chips & salsa. I went with the waitress's recommendation of Chili Colorado and experienced the best I've ever had! Their chile relleno was great, as was the menudo. All our food was very good as was the service. One last thing: another reviewer's negative comments regarded this place as a Mexican Hooters. Ha! Went there about a week ago n when I took my seat in the booth I noticed that the restaurant was a little humid. We were served by different waitresses some were nice but one in particular was rude. She talked too fast n doesn't give her full attention to u when ur speaking. We ordered red menudo. The menudo did not taste fresh. So we complained about it n ordered something else off the menu. We ended up ordering Chicken Fajitas. The wait for the fajitas took a while like 20 mins. We also ordered grilled cebollitas but those came out undercooked as well. After the meal we spoke to the manager about how our dining experience wasn't pleasant. How the menudo wasn't fresh n how we had to wait forever for the chicken fajitas. The manager said "sorry but I cant do anything about it". We felt like our meal should of at least gotten a discount for the inconvenience. The manger then said "I'm not allowed to give out discounts". She also stated the owner told her that. We then let her know that her response was unsatisfactory n that we will never return. I've reviewed this place in the past but today's trip to jaliscos was not good. $22.39 for a lunch is wayyyyyyy overpriced. A few of us from my construction company went there for lunch today. A few guys were running late so me and a friend sat there and ate chips and salsa while waiting for the rest of the group to show up. After 45 minutes of waiting, they called and said they had a flat tire, so my buddy and I ordered some lunch. I got beef enchiladas, beans and rice. Coke to drink. Coke was never refilled, the ice melted and it was this light brown colored disgusting mess. My bill came to $22.39 I couldn't believe it. I've gone to this place for 13 years regularly, I've brought my family and friends there several times. When she was ringing me up at the register, she said we were charged for the chips. I told her I thought chips were free with the meal, I've never paid for chips before. I told her that the waitress should have told me there was a charge for the chips. Yes we did go through 3 small bowls of chips, big deal. They were mostly crumbled up. The lady at the register told me it states in the menu that there can be a charge for chips, I told her I don't read the menu since I always order the same thing. Before I could utter another word, the phone rings and she sticks her finger up in my face as to say " one second. " So she swipes my credit card (while still babbling away on the phone) and hands it back to me and I swore I'd never go back. I got back to the office, and I told everyone what had happened. Nobody was suprised about the crappy service since this is El Centro, but they were all suprised about the price. So I'll never recommend this place to anyone ever again, and we will go to Mexicali from now on. I just walked out of there , the jamaica tasted like tap water the salsa was made with canned tomatoes,the pozole stunk and the shrimp tacos where pre-cooked then put in batter and deep fried. The worse part was when i told the waitress about the jamaica she got offended raised her voice and said it wasnt tap water, said i had to pay for it either way. Great Mexican food! I came here for lunch on a Wednesday. Was not very crowded, maybe because of some negative reviews here. I thought the service was excellent, the food was excellent, and the prices are below what I'm used to paying in Phoenix. I ordered chicken enchiladas, 3 large enchiladas, rice and beans for $10. I couldn't even finish my plate. I also had two Negro Modello's. Each one was served with a frosty mug. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is that I made the mistake of using the restroom. I've eaten here several times over the past couple of years. The food is usually good and the service is usually so-so. But the last time I ate here, I couldn't believe how poorly I was treated. I ordered a pollo asado burrito and I got carne asada instead. I brought it to the waitress's attention, and she agreed and asked if I wanted another burrito. I had already taken a bite out of it, so I said "no, I'll just eat this one." Then, as I was sitting there, I realized that they hand't brought out the side of rice I had ordered. So, I brought that up to the waitress as well. She apologized and brought the rice. Then, I sat with my colleague at our table for half an hour without a single person asking how we were doing. The problem was that the owner had come in with her daughter and all the staff were busying kissing her butt instead of taking care of customers. I wasn't the only person who got upset. I got up and asked for my drink to go and the cashier told me she would have to charge me for it. I told her about the mistakes with my order and the long wait without a waitress and she said there were no discounts. I told her how upset I was and she just seemed indifferent.
