Update: I had some leaking issues with the new irrigation system due a fitting that was defective and Jake came out and spent a good portion of a day digging up and replacing the leaking line and several adjacent lines and tees that ran under recently laid pavers just to make sure no other leaks occurred in the future. It was not a small or trivial job, but Jake said "that's why I provide a three year warranty" and he backed it up with action not excuses. He also did some recent drainage work and additional (large/thick) flagstones around our house which look great. He has a high attention to detail like me (a retired aerospace engr.) and was very picky on how the drains were designed to avoid things like collecting silt over the years versus cutting corners. Jacob is great. I highly recommend him. Easy communication. I usually just text him and he would respond quickly and let me know when he would come. And he showed up at that time exactly. Fair price. Jacob first helped me to set up a new irrigation timer with new valves and pipelines. He did professionally and the price was fair as I have checked with others. Then, Jacob helped me to build a new whole irrigation system and he did it great job. It was a big job and the price was fair. Most importantly, Jacob is very responsible and reliable. So after building the irrigation system, there were some issues from failed parts (irrigation valves). The parts Jacob used were from good brand but somehow it just failed after a while. After I noticed the issue, I texted Jacob and he came and fixed the issue swiftly without any charge. Three times! Replacing irrigation valve should be considered a job needs charge, no need to say replacing new parts. Also I have used that for a while already which should be considered out of warranty. Hire Jake if you want a crappy lawn. I have never written a review before but this situation has me very upset and I feel that the public needs to know what happened. I spent over $1700 for Jake to put down Bermuda grass. Did I get Bermuda grass? No. I got at least four different kinds of "grass seed", including winter rye (which he put down in June, by the way. It's July now and the grass is dead). He keeps saying "give it time, give it time"...but it's been a couple of months and the lawn is looking worse by the day. And I am out all of that money with an embarrassing lawn to show for it. Very disappointed and highly recommend that you go elsewhere. He talks as if he knows his stuff. But he doesn't and the photos tell the story. STAY AWAY. read more

I have known Jacob for at least 10 to 11 years and I met him on a street corner sitting in his truck with Boulders. I needed boulders for a rental property where people were driving up on the property to make U turns. He promptly followed me to the property leaving the street corner behind. He put 18 large boulders around the front and side of the property (corner lot) and the price was very reasonable! At that point I was sold on him and have literally hunted him down (until he finally gave me a card) and so far has done 5 properties for me. I am still in the process of planning something for one of my properties. That one is going to be a bigger job though so I have to save for it. Jacob is a long time resident of Chandler and a very respectable and friendly guy. You don't find that much anymore in customer service. One thing I want to add.....I was having trouble with people and pets cutting across the property on one of my rentals and it was bothering my tenants because they would look in the windows as they were waling on the property. I called Jacob and he met me there and designed something for me and now there is NO foot traffic across the property. I love it and have had many complements on the job he did. He has it in one of his pictures and it is the one that has the University street sign on the corner. That was 2 years ago and it looks exactly the same as this picture he took when he was finished. They showed up like The Lone Ranger and his sidekick Tonto on time and prepared. They knew what to do and how to get it accomplished. And they did it for far less than what another company had quoted. The problem was a leak source that I could not find. It was near a sprinkler head, the one you seem to always accidently trip on or kick because it's always in the way between the back door and the bbq? I have replaced it twice and then the mysterious leak began. It wasn't he sprinkler head but the line. The entire East side of our back covered sitting area was getting really wet and I could not find the leak. Then one day I began digging in that corner where my sprinkler nemesis resides. There was the leak under the brick divider that runs from the slab and wraps it's way around the grass area. The trick was going to be finding the line and tracing where it was broken. I dug and dug but could not find the line, starting from the sprinkler head, it 90's under the brick divider and did not come out anywhere. I dug like a Jack Russel with no luck. That's when I decided to ask for help. Well, I found Jakescape on another website review and gave him a shout. Not only was he generous but fast and thorough.
