Jake's roadhouse has been around for a long time. I have always enjoyed stopping in to hear a band or check out the menu. I do have a girlfriend that bartends there so I will stop in occasionally to say hello. I've always had a good time there. It's really comfortable inside or even outside on the patio and their food is a lot on a plate very plentiful and the Prices are just right. The cheesecake was amazing. The music was good. I love the atmosphere and the bikes that were outside:) I have girls night twice a week, group of 8 of us, and we are looking for a place to call our spot. This establishment will not be it. The lady behind the bar was extremely rude and belligerent. Come to find out from another customer, she was the owner. We left, and will not return. Especially when the bride was told you dont like my humor bitch, theres the door. And yes Doug it is your business because we brought the cheesecake In. But no arguments here. Just was informed that from my Yelp review I am 86'd from Jake's and when the owner's wife tells you "I apologize but I'm a bitch" and I write it in a Yelp review that gets you kicked out for life. I would not ever go here again and if it was not for the poker that Jason holds there no one would go to this place. Anytime I go there and there's no poker there's like two people in the entire establishment. Gladly never going back! Wouldn't dare give them my money ever again. Visited for the first time Friday night to hear my friend's band. The outside and inside are not impressive but don't judge a book by its cover. It is very relaxing and the people who work there were always hustling and serving guests. They were also extremely friendly and attentive to all customers. Stephanie was awesome behind the bar and hustling to serve customers sitting at tables. She is a doll. The beer was cold and it seemed everyone who ordered food ate everything they served. Great service every time we go, bar tenders always take good care of the customers. They recently added barbecue to their menu and it's some of the best I've ever had. Great bar, so good we ended the night here FIVE nights in a row! Total "Roadhouse" style with a huge dirt parking lot in the front, park in the back if you know what I mean. Nice bar inside with two pool tables adjacent along with many high top tables and a big stage set the tone. The place is clean, the pool tables are high quality and in good shape and the sound system is great! What more can you ask for? How about great service... Stephanie is all about that! Super nice, quick & never will leave you without a full Budweiser or Jager shot. All the other bartenders are very nice as well, they said. I just moved to Arvada which, after spending the last 3 years living in the center of Denver, has been quite the culture shock/ adjustment. Craving a little taste of nightlife, I decided to go to Jake's the other night, which is just down the street from my new place. I walked in and saddled up to the bar ordered the Sam Adams summer seasonal (btw, not a bad summer beer) and started checking the place out. At first glance, it looks to be a standard suburbs bar. A little divey, but still clean. The bartender that night was very friendly and organized. From what I can tell, she was the only one working and she had everyone in there served within minutes. I ordered the mushroom and swiss burger and was not disappointed. It was really good! What really made this bar a great experience was the crowd, which, at first glance, you might think was a standard bar crowd, but they were incredibly friendly. Within 10 minutes I was having a conversation with someone and after an hour, I was up singing karaoke. In short, I went in for dinner and a beer and ended up staying for four hours having a great time with new friends. I'm a firm believer that a restaurant/bar takes on the vibe that its owner gives off, so the owners of this place must be some awesome, friendly people. I love Jake's Roadhouse! I stopped there one night after I had a friend over, because it is in walking distance and I wanted to check it out! The first night was interesting, there was a band, reminded me of Joe Cocker, it was loud, there were pool tables, a nice bar, an outside area to eat and drink. We were hungry and thought we could grab a bite to eat. Surprisingly the staff was so nice. we got food, there was a biker party going on. That was fun. We were taken care of. I went there another night, it was much later, there were a few people there, I sat and talked to the bartender for awhile I have to say he is really a nice guy. I am new here getting to know my surroundings. The last time I was there I went after a show. I have to say I was a little down, the typical bar story. I went over to see if they were still open because it was so late. I just wasn't ready to go home. There was seven other people there, I had a great time talking to new people and getting my mind of parts of the evening I had just had. There really are some of the nicest people I have meet there. Not only that it is close. I like that spot. It may not be for everyone but it is right up my alley! read more

Jake's Roadhouse Rules. There's really no other way to say it. This is the best bar in Arvada. We went bar hopping around Olde Town last weekend and the best time was had at Jake's. Jake's is a place you would never even consider visiting unless you were a local, but it is definitely full of pleasant surprises. We were ordering up Jack and Cokes and they served them up in pint glasses. Delicious and a lot of drink for not a lot of cash. Even though our servers have been the grizzled-neck-tattoo-biker type they always have been polite and nice as you can find anywhere. The music selection on the juke is always pretty good. I've yet to be here late enough for the live music and the knife fights in the parking lot, but we're planning a trip of it tomorrow night so I will report back! read more

I heart this place. Seriously. No joke, I love the people that work here and the patrons in it. They have been so helpful to me. My dive bar at home has a phenomenon called "As the barstool Turns". Everyone there is miserable and out of their misery they need to know all of your crap true or not. But here, the people are very cool. They have a live and let live attitude. And they were more than willing to help out a total stranger. I haven't eaten the food here, but I've seen a couple of plates and it looks good. They have bingo on Tuesday nights, and trivia on Wednesdays. Totally worth your time if you are in the Denver area! read more

I went here because of the reviews, and I got out voted. It was a Saturday night and the place was dead. Maybe because it's a holiday weekend, I don't know...but I mean there were less then 10 people in there. Ordered the tacos because we wanted an "appetizer" and their appetizer menu had nothing on it that I wanted. The soft tacos were huge and fairly good. Not bad for $4.50. The band was awful. I called ahead of time to see who was playing, and they said it would be rock and roll. It was not rock and roll and they did mostly instrumentals. So we waited 2 hours for the band and a good time and ended up leaving after about 4 "songs." Maybe it's better on a night when they have a decent band? I don't know, but I will be hard pressed to return. read more
