She slid it over to me without even looking at me. I asked her how much she told me I gave her the correct amount plus a little extra, and she proceeded to ask me if I want to change back, I said no and walked away. My friends finally showed up they were greeted immediately bartender came over to the table and asked them what they wanted to drink. She still refused to look at me, now mind you I don't know this person and as of now, I don't care to know this person, at one point one of my friends asked her why she wasn't being nice and she said she was too busy to be nice. I totally did not understand that comment to all .... We had a group picture that was taken. I guess it was for all the regulars there because me and my girlfriend did not get invited to take the picture and once again, my friend asked about it and they said that we were not normal, ?!! I will say one thing being treated badly because I'm Mexican or because I was dressed differently. Does not give you the right to treat me badly. Being in the service industry myself, I know how important it is to treat people kindly! We ordered some food that they were serving Philly cheesesteak sandwiches and nachos. Great idea we enjoyed eating. I will go there to see my friends that work behind the bar but I will make sure that I don't go in when that bartender is working that treated me rudely. It should be between 36 - 38 degrees Fahrenheit. Is there a problem with the cooler? The bar was not well stocked! The table that we sat at was sticky! No one cares enough to clean things up? We sat at that table for several hours and no one stopped by to ask if we would like anything from the bar, so we had to get our drinks ourselves. I did see at least two waitresses serving tables close to the dance floor! Were we not important enough to have a waitress? I witnessed door men/women allowing their friends into the bar without charging them a cover! No, they didn't have wristbands. That's fair ... right? I witnessed bar staff drinking ... probably not a good business practice! The men's room clearly hasn't been THOROUGHLY cleaned in some time as the smell of urine was intense!!! The general cleanliness of the venue was lacking and if it is this bad at front of house, how bad is it in the kitchen? The facility has been upgraded over the years with relocation of the sound booth, a MUCH better sound system, new stage lighting and new seating where the old sound booth used to be. More importantly, we couldn't get service. We were ignored by every employee working there. It was karaoke night and we really wanted to sing. We put our names in at 10 pm. When it was about 12:30, and the bar had emptied significantly we figured it would be time to sing soon. And then we noticed that the rotation had repeated without us. And then it repeated again. We asked the KJ about it and she told us that somehow there were 75 singers on the list and that we weren't going to be able to sing at all. It's a really small place and I don't think 75 people can even fit in there. (Yes,we tipped. $40 for the two of us) Anyone who's queer can tell when there's a reason for bad service.
