Jake's property services completed a major perimeter drainage replacement around the foundation of our 67 year old home. In addition to that project they installed a French drain system, tied the downspouts into another underground drainage line to help divert all excess water away from the house. In addition to all the drainage work, they removed tree stumps, roots and brush from the area to allow surface water to flow away from the house. They also repaired our gravel driveway by smoothing it out and applying new limestone. They did a final grade, applied topsoil, grass seed and straw to finish off this large project. Great people to work with!!! I highly recommend them for your property needs. read more

I recently purchased a cord of firewood from Jake's and the communication was fantastic, the load was definitely a full chord, and I specified I only wanted oak. It is the best cut/split load of oak I have ever received. I run a smoker with it and am very particular about my firewood. Highly recommend this hard working family business! read more

Jake is dishonest and can't be trusted. So many things wrong and never fixed. Never fixed even after addressing the issue. Ohh that will be done in Phase 2 or Phase 3. Many promises but no action. Called me the morning they were on their way to take out my porch, no warning. Redid my gravel driveway, grass is growing in it after 2 weeks. Gravel was not placed evenly on driveway. Driveway is crooked not straight. Took out two water swales. now my yard floods. He wanted to charge me to put them back. Multiple trenches in my yard, addressed but never fixed. Tore boards off my house from porch tear down, told me to fix it. Tore my yard up, charged me to seed it and blow straw on it. Harrases me to pay the very next day, twice after 2 jobs. So many other things. I will never use Jake's again. All the good reviews received a $100.00 Gift card from you. How hard is it to deliver wood? Especially wood from a job you charged someone to cut down their trees? read more

Without a doubt the best firewood we have ever purchased. Not only the best price, but delivered less than 24 hours after placing an order online. The driver was very friendly, and dumped the cord of wood right where we wanted it. We will definitely be repeat customers. read more

The quantity and quality of the wood was as represented and burns well. Nice to have a supplier of firewood that delivers on its representations! read more

I purchased a 1/2 cord of firewood from Jakes Property Services in November 2024. The firewood was delivered and dumped as promised, and the quantity truly was equal to 1/2 cord. The wood burned easily all winter and into the fall. I just ordered from Jake's for a second time today receiving great customer service with a quick response to my questions re the order. Thank you, Sabrina! read more

We purchase a couple of cords each winter, great burning, seasoned wood. certainly do appreciate the quick delivery.

One year ago I had them come and put in two new gravel driveways. They did an excellent job they were prompt and the price was very reasonable. I use them again just a few days ago having them come back and spray both new driveways for weeds. Again, they did it when we were going to be gone and worked it into their schedule. I would highly recommend them. Tedd Bowman read more

We had a phenomenal experience with Jake's Property Services. Our work included new driveway construction, tree clearing, and new culvert installation. Timely and professional communication from initial quote to project completion. Even with larger than expected amounts of rain, Jake and his team did a great job making sure to not tear up the property. We would definitely utilize Jake again for future projects. read more

I do not normally write reviews but felt a need to share my recent experience with Jake's Property Services. I recently ordered a cord of firewood on line and they delivered it the next morning. The firewood was a nice mix of hardwood, well-seasoned, clean, and all cut to the correct length. I was impressed with the quality and thought it was fairly priced. After stacking the wood, I found there was not a full cord and emailed Jakes Property Services to let them know. They did not question or argue but immediately made things right by bringing out the balance of the wood the next morning, explained there had been a miscount when loading and apologized. I've been buying firewood for years and find it an unexpected pleasure to deal with a company that that is so honest and ethical, particularly in the firewood business. I will be a continuing customer for years to come and have been recommending them to my friends. They are one of those rare companies that exceed your expectations and I heartily recommend them. read more

Only left a 4 because the way gravel was dumped. However I give a five for yuck honest service!!

The company has no real interest in customer satisfaction and doesn't accept blame - character flaw - and is not forthcoming with everything that may be needed in their estimates. We hired this company to to put in a new driveway and when we expressed concerns for the quality of the work after completion like serious ruts and dirt clods in the area surrounding the driveway Jake responded with another quote to do the finish work. I guess I thought that was included in the original estimate and probably would have paid for it had it been brought up before the work was completed and I had to complain about it. He made it seem like it was something I should have asked for versus something he should have mentioned. Please get everything in writing to include any finish work that may be needed. Second they cut the fiber access line for my Internet access I use for working from home. I made sure it was clearly marked by OUPS and the gentleman doing the work for Jake admitted he made a mistake to myself and the cable folks that came to do the restoration. I was told by the cable company I would have to pay to have the piece of newly reconstructed fiber buried and reached out to Jake. Rather than admit the mistake and try to assist with a solution he wanted to argue as to who was at fault after his guy had already admitted he was wrong - he tried to blame OUPS. Please be wary of folks that won't accept blame and make excuses if something doesn't go as planned. I hear he does a nice job with firewood... read more

I had an area on my property that was continuously eroding. I could not keep dirt on the hill and get grass established. I placed a call to Jake's Property Services and they sent out a member of their Team to do an assessment and provide a quote. Once the quote was agreed to and a contract signed, I got on their busy summer schedule. The work crew came in about two weeks with all of the materials and equipment necessary to complete the job. They were very professional and experienced and got the job done. It looks great and made a tremendous difference when looking at the property from the road. I would highly recommend Jake and his Team to take care of your property concerns. They are an honest, hard-working, family owned company that does the job right. Bill Z. read more

Please check BBB prior to making purchase. I did not. I ordered 6 yards of stone but they delivered less than half, did not notify me when making the delivery. When contacted to rectify, they choose to ignore their doing and insist that they delivered the right quantity. Fraud, be aware! read more
