Great experience buying a new car! We had been looking online for a week or two - so we had an idea what we wanted. We came in and asked to see a particular car on their lot. Test drove it and then bought the car. In about 2.5 hours from the time we got there I was driving off the lot with my brand new Mazda. Our salesman, Joe, was awesome! No hard sells on fluff. Friendly and helpful. So far I'm really enjoying my new Mazda! read more

My husband and I came to look at the Mazda's CX90 on Saturday, September 26,2026. We came into the showroom. No one was there to greet you or ask any questions of you. We wondered around the showroom for 20 minutes and still no one came up to us or stated they would be with us shortly. We observed that there were a few gentlemen behind the glass, but they did not get up to ask if we needed help. I understand that we did not have an appointment but acknowledgment would of been appreciated. After 20 minutes we walked out and it seemed no one cared. I will be going to Kings Automall. read more

This review is for the car sales department. Had done a bunch of research and determined that a Toyota Hilander hybrid was the right car for my family. Found through cargurus.com that Jake Sweeney had a car i was interested in. I live in WV, and the dealership was in OH, so our entire business was conducted via phone and email. The car price was in context of other Hilanders i had seen per year/mileage. From the get-go the sales person, Jason Vaughn was communicative, and preemptively sent me a video walk through, showing the inside and outside of the car. He was very responsive and we were able to get a deal done via the phone. There weren't a bunch of random fees, the only additional thing was a protective coating they added to the car (~$300) and a doc processing fee (~$400), which, honestly i was fine with as i was expecting more in the way of random fees, having had that experience with other dealers. They also gave me a discount that essentially waived those fees. Jason pointed me in the direction of a reputable car transport company, which worked with our schedule to deliver our new car in about a week at a competitive price (around $700). The thing for me that makes this a 5 star rather than a 4 star review, was that post the sale, Jason continued to be communicative and help us. I had a title issue (needed it to be an OR title for me and my wife, but we received an AND) which Jason researched and let me know that it came down to state regs and OH didnt have OR titles. I also had questions about the protective coating they added and he went out and sent me pics of the bottle so i could see what washes / waxes / coatings were compatible. Overall my bar for used car dealers is pretty low, but Jason and Jake Sweeny made the process of finding and buying my car easy and smooth, and surprisingly, still were communicative post sale. Would recommend this place and Jason Vaughn specifically as a good person to work with. read more

Horrible experience and I've called to try and file a complaint for weeks getting the run around and wrong emails.. they had my car almost 3 weeks didn't report everything with my car to the warranty company, my warranty company called 3 different times to try & get questions answered to approve the claim nothing. Due to them never answering the phone & Not returning their calls the warranty company denied my claim & closed it out. When I called to tell them i was coming to get my car all the lies of "they are waiting to hear from the warranty company" then I get there and they apologize for missing the calls & wanna tell me for the 2nd time they were alone & short staffed so sorry I missed their calls blah blah. But what bothered me more was when I asked Adam to put the claim in he says "I can pretty much guarantee they won't approve this claim just the way these after market warranty's work but I'll see what I can do for you". And then to drop the ball on communication to now I have to pay out of pocket for what Mazda literally had my car there to fix! The warranty company will not reopen this claim and I WILL NEVER TAKE MY CAR TO THIS LOCATION AGAIN. read more

Look Up Case # 24CV18859, Hamilton County Clerk of Courts, Ohio Janos Roper vs. Jake Sweeney Chrysler Jake Sweeney Chrysler did the following to me: Put the Wrong transmission in my Car; Never returned my old Transmission; sent certified mail to an address that was not listed on my work order and then Sold My Car at auction. I dismissed the small claims case so that I can pursue higher damages. I will be suing to the highest extent of the law. read more

I went in for a diagnostics run early morning, they said it would be a few hours at worst, a few hours turned into the end of day which I texted the number they provided twice and called twice just for them to tell me they were too busy to respond to (I have the conversations recorded) me. I just wanted an update. Unprofessional, once they had my car they stopped communicating to me. A day turned into the weekend, then a week then FINALLY someone reached out. Had them do $1300 worth of work to pick it up days later and the car was still having the same issue of picking up. And to top off the check engine light came right back on the next day, which 7 other lights I've never seen come on before. I requested someone reach out online and they assured me 6 TIMES that someone from the location was going to do a follow up, that was 5 days ago and no one has called, texted or emailed me. I just wanted communication and assistance I feel sad and very frustrated from this unprofessional experience. read more

So I needed a brand new HID headlight piece for my Mazda CX-5. Unfortunately it was back ordered for months at my local dealership in NJ. I recommend Rock Auto or LKQ pick a part instead. I was super excited to find their site (mazdacarpartsonline.com) in early 2019, but now see that I was going to pay $15 for a part I paid $5 from a different place. Ken (who works at Jake Sweeney) was helpful at first, but then just stopped responding after awhile. They mailed it to my billing address even though my address was correct in paypal; when I did finally get the part it was the wrong part and I returned it. It was clearly their fault (their website is hard to read and I even called to confirm 2 different errors), but when they processed my refund they took the restocking fee out of my refund in violation of their return policy. Anyone else have this problem? we might have a class action opportunity? I even emailed Ken before writing this & got no response:/ 3/22/19 Update- I talked to Alexis who is mailing me a check for the rest of my refund. 4/24/19 Their Check cleared. Alexis was very nice & made up for the prior bad experience, with the exception of my lost time. read more

Being a first-time car buyer can be a scary thing. The sales team was very professional and didn't even laugh at me when I got behind the wheel of my new car and had no idea how to turn the thing on. Bernard and Sean definitely made the process super easy both outside and inside the dealership. They were able to answer all of my questions, didn't try to pressure me, and got me a price that wouldn't make the Asian in me cry. I JUST watched the new Fresh Off the Boat episode though. It aired the night that I picked up my car. And now, my biggest regret is not arguing for floor mats. MY NAME IS ALSO JESSICA AND I ALSO FORGOT THE FLOOR MATS. Noob move, but a good learning experience. Next time, I'll be ready. read more

My review is going to be for the service area and body shop. I can't say I have shopped here for a new car as I bought mine in Chicago before I moved to Cincinnati. Overall, I have loved my experience with their service team and body shop. Every time I come for a oil change or service package the team has been friendly and explains everything in detail. As a perfectionist who loves to know details, this is exactly what I'm looking for when it comes to my car. They inform you of how to keep your car in-check as well as some tips on what to look for and how things work on your car. I don't remember all the names but Adam in the service shop definitely meets my expectations in a technician I haven't had a problem yet with any of the service I've gotten with them and look forward to keep coming back. For a specialty dealership I think their prices are reasonable and you get what you pay for. I just recently had experience with the Jake Sweeney Mazda bodyshop with some work that needed to be done on my car. Don was my specialist for the State Farm insurance and he has been super accommodating and friendly. I haven't even gotten my work done with them yet, but am confident they will take good care of my car. I recommend Jake Sweeney Mazda Mazda in Tri-County for anyone who is looking for a hospitable and trustworthy dealership. read more

Worst people to deal with ever. Bought a car from them three years ago and had no problems. Now they seem to think it's crazy to ask for there best price in a used car before going into their dealer Ship. They claim that is there best price. Then the manager responded to my email, quoting my statements back to me out of context. They are posting chat records, which claims I called the on sales representative rude. Then they proceed to email me other harassing email about this review. They claimed I changed my name and talked to a different rep. I logged out and logged back I accidentally. Didn't realize my name got changed. And yes they were being rude and still are. read more

I found the car I wanted to take a look at online and contacted the dealership and they responded right away. Keith Jenkins was my sales rep and he did a fantastic job working with us. Stopped in this morning around 9:30 and walked around the show room and lot. Did not see one sales person. Won't go back.

I purchased a new 2010 Mazda 3 in 2009 from the Jake Sweeney Mazda dealership, located in Tri County/Cincinnati and found that my Mazda was cracking and had the "sticky dash" issue that was described in the extended recall and no one ever got back to me on. I called and emailed the local dealership and was told they couldn't help me. I'm now stuck with a car that clearly has defects that were covered and no one at my local Mazda dealership has done any thing to make this situation better. I've reached out to the GM and Service Manager and didn't even get a response from them. Be prepared to have a horrible experience if you ever buy a car from them and have any service issues. read more

Absolutely horrendous. I gave the salesman what I wanted in terms of how long I wanted financing for and after negotiating, gave me the amount per month and confirmed the length of the loan, only to return about fifteen minutes later and tell me it was for a year longer than I wanted and agreed to. Basically the man wasted hours of time by not listening. And then the financing. I get a call weeks after I purchase the car from the loan holder of my old car and that they weren't given the full amount of what was left. I had to call the Financing department to have that addressed. And then I don't get the payment information/statement for the new financing and it turns out they gave the wrong address. Fingers crossed when/if I have to take the car to service because so far they're 2/2 for having their heads up their @$$. Much more hassle that I care to deal with ever again. read more

I am a Sweeney Automotive Group "lifer." Their excellent customer service, knowledge and commitment to exceeding expectations is evident throughout every interaction. I bought my first car at Sweeney Used Cars many years ago and have had experience with purchasing new cars, leasing and each experience has been positive. I trust my team at Sweeney and to me, that's what it comes down to. I'm not a car (or finance) expert and it means a lot to know that the professionals at the dealership, from sales to technicians to the financial team are all honest and operate with the highest degree of ethics. I've been really disappointed with my experience here. At first I was on board and enthusiastic about a very important and expensive purchase in my life. I shopped around and did plenty of due diligence. I actually checked out the automall up north then came down Jake Sweeney. At first the experience was great, the salesman was low pressure and let the car sell itself. They even let me take it for a drive without them with was nice to actually just take in the care in an everyday situation. That day I realized it was the car I wanted and we talked numbers. I said I'd sleep on it and the next day I called the salesman to set up a day to wrap everything up and walk out the door with my new car! I was honestly excited. About two hours before I was supposed to meet with the salesman, he sent me an email stating he needed to reschedule. That's right, 10s of thousands of dollars to be spent and I get an EMAIL canceling less than two hours before. I was really taken aback by the lack of professionalness. From my perspective, if you're going to cancel something last minute then take the time to actually call. That's the beginning of where the hassle started. I should've taken it as a sign and gone to the dealer at Kings. However I didn't. I ended up meeting with the salesman a few days later, at which time the add ins to the car we had previously discussed, weren't handled. Thus creating the need to schedule yet another appointment to pick up floor mats and get something installed on my car. He car was in the showroom so I had to wait for them to get it out, at which time I had to wait for them to charge the battery, because it was used up, from all the people sitting inside it and playing with it in the showroom. Once the battery was charged, the car was moved outside and the papers were signed, it was finally time to drive off in my new car. The salesman assured me that he would set an appointment for the following Friday to have the items installed on my car. He didn't. I followed up multiple times, it took over a month to get these things fixed. Lastly, the car came with a ding on the front hood. The salesman told me it would be fixed, no problems. If I had known the level of service, or lack there of, I would have never driven off with the car. I've posted a picture of the "fix" to my brand new car on a ding that was done on their end. Seriously, I think they went over it with a paint pin and said done. They didn't eliminate the crease or actually provide the same paint finished. Truly disappointing. They'll tell you they don't want to lose your business to the bigger guys. Ultimately go with your gut, my experience may have been isolated. But, I sincerely wish I went else where, or they at least stood behind their word, because I don't think any car place would say this experience was positive, nor do I think they would want to take credit for their paint fix. read more

I didn't buy my mazda here, but if the sales team is anywhere as kind and helpful as the service department then I wish I would have. The problem with my car was a mystery requiring two tows to the dealership... very frustrating considering my car is brand new. Jeff checked in with me every day to let me know the status, offered me a loaner car, and finally found the random problem which they fixed (no more tows... hopefully). I then ran into the problem of ... who was going to pay for it? It sure wasn't going to be me - my car has less than 4,000 miles on it. The King's Mazda sales team should have been responsible for this problem, but they were rude and not helpful at all. Luckily, the service managers at both locations worked it out and I was sent on my way. Jeff was patient, professional, and courteous. I am extremely happy with the service everyone at this location provided me. If you need to go to a Mazda dealer - I'd suggest here based on my experience. read more

They fixed my driver side window motor on my 2007 Mazda 3 last December. Last week my window was malfunctioning again, coming out of its tracks. I showed them my receipt and the warranty. They called and said that while it was a different problem, they would consider it under warranty. So that was awesome. Having a loaner also makes things more convenient. A separate fix to a door handle actually came in less than estimated, so all around I was pretty happy. Thank you Adam Blakely. read more

Beware - the "price" they advertise or negotiate to does not include almost $1,200 of dealer add-ons that they try and sneak in at the last minute. This includes $899 "environmental protection assurance package" which they won't budge on including - so really should be upfront about including it in price! Ridiculous "old-school" dealer tactics - misleading in the sense that they "agree" a price but don't disclose they will be adding these costs - thereby wasting your time as the deal falls through - or your money if you accept the add-on! How can a dealer that operates this way possibly be trusted? read more

Had an issue with quote on a repair. After some difficulty I found a manager who fixed it to my satisfaction.

Beware the listed sell price is not the cost of the used car. We went in to buy a car listed on line for a given sell price, but when we went in to buy it, they had, on their own volition, added a treatment that added 10% to the cost of the vehicle and would not remove that cost and expected us to pay for it! Bait and switch or fraudulent advertising - call it what you will, but not cool. Not the salesperson's fault - he was great and very open and clear about the practice but as a consumer, if it had been up to me alone we would have walked. Crazy practice. read more

Extremely disappointed in our experience here after the purchase was made. During the process of purchasing the car on 12/24/16, we pointed out to our salesman that the address on my fiance's ID was incorrect (the street address had 2 digits flip flopped). Yes, this should have been corrected on our end sooner, but our salesman Blake assured us this was no problem and he told us he'd make sure the address was correct in their system. After finalizing negotiations with Blake, we worked with Tony to sign all the paperwork. As soon as we sat down, Tony said "I understand your ID has the address wrong. I had already printed everything out so we'll still have you sign these forms but I have everything entered correctly now on my end." (In hindsight, we should have requested new forms to be printed.) We received a voicemail from Blake on 1/23/17 stating that the title was mailed back to Mazda because the address did not exist; he read the address off and the address a) had an apartment number when there should not have been one and b) had the wrong city and zip code. These errors were in no way related to the incorrect address on my fiances's ID, so we have NO IDEA where this incorrect information came from. My fiance called either that same day or the next and left a voicemail for Blake with the correct address. He asked Blake to call him when the voicemail was received; he never did. My fiance tried to call 2 or 3 more times that week to ensure that everything was taken care of, but Blake was not at his desk. We assumed things were taken care of and that the address was mailed to the correct address. The following Friday 2/3, I called Mazda as the title was never received and the temporary plates expired on Tuesday 2/7. Due to my fiance's extended hours working at a hospital, we needed to get the title to transfer his old plates that Saturday. I first spoke to Tony again, who was a bit rude to me. My dad (who was present and involved with the negotiations) then called with me and we spoke to Blake. Blake assured us that the title was sent via **FedEx** on Thursday 2/2 and that we'd have the title in our hands that day (Friday) if not by Saturday at the latest. Blake told us that if the title was not received by Saturday at 10am that he'd issue us a 2nd temporary tag. We agreed to call him either way at 10am. We called Blake on our way to Mazda to pick up the new temp tags just after 10am that Saturday when the title was not received. I told him we were on our way and he said "I think Tony needs to ask you guys a few questions." He transferred us to Tony, who told us it was illegal for a dealership to issue a second temporary tag. This was such a letdown after Blake told us it'd be no problem. I asked Tony why there was such a delay between us giving Blake the correct address on 1/23 or 1/24 and the title not being FedExed until 2/2. He said he was not made aware until then that we called with the correct address the week before. This was another strike against this dealer. That weekend, we left a message on the Jake Sweeney Mazda General Manager's voicemail requesting he call us back. He never did. The following week, I had to take unpaid time off work so I could leave early to request a duplicate title memorandum so my fiance could take that to the BMV to request the plates be transferred. This was an inconvenience, although Mazda did agree to reimburse us for the fee. It was not until that Thursday 2/9--1 week after the title was apparently **FedExed** as per Blake--that we FINALLY received the title...and it was NOT sent via FedEx as Blake promised--it was sent via regular USPS snail mail! This has been an absolute nightmare that a) never should have happened and b) should have been resolved much sooner. We are very disappointed in the calls that were not returned and the lies we were told. read more

My experience with the parts dept was very poor. I had a problem with my order and sent e-mails to kraab and ddoerger but received no reply at all. I then called the parts dept and the guy on the phone said that the order would automatically cancel because the ATF I was trying to purchase was hazardous materials and they dont ship that. (that was completely wrong info because they ended up sending it to me). Then I tried to call the parts manager 3 different times, apparently he was the only person who handled the online orders. I talked to him once and he said he was at urgent care? and that I should call him back when he gets back to the office in an hour. I did that but only got voice mail for which I left a message. Again no phone call back. I tried for the 3rd time and got voice mail again. Once more I left a detailed message asking for a call back. NOTHING. I never did get a call back or an email response from anyone. There is NO problem resolution assistance at this parts department. I first went into Jake Sweeney around April 2014 and bought a 2002 Mazda Miata, I loved it! And though there was a minor issue with the car that came up around the first month of me owning it, the sales and service department took care of me in everyway. Tony in sales and Jeff Ames in the service center were extremely professional while also being friendly. They fixed the car (for free) and gave me free rentals while they did the work since I had bought the car so recently. They did this without any warranty on the vehicle, just because they knew they should. ...Well, after driving the Miata through the Ohio winter I realized how dump it was of me to buy the car as my daily driver. I don't particularly like Mazda's and didn't really have a preference for what my new car would be (I'm a typical girl who just picks the best looking car). So I knew I would go back to Jake Sweeney only because of the service they had given me the last time I bought from them. Jeff in service really should have been given the sales commission for the car I bought (no offense other sales guy). I purchased my first car at this Jake Sweeney Mazda Tri-County location. The salesman was very attentive when I was in the process of purchasing the car. After the purchase of the car, the customer service I experienced there was absolutely terrible. I was unable to get a hold of my car salesman via phone or email in regards to something he had told me regarding my license plates on my newly purchased car. I would call the Jake Sweeney Mazda Tri-County location office and calls were never returned. Finally, I called and the employee who answered the phone informed me that my car salesman no longer worked at their location. After speaking with the other employee, I finally received a call back (weeks later) from my previous car salesman who did not hold up to what he had previously told me regarding my license plate tags. He did not take accountability for his actions or words and was very rude on the phone. Months later, I came back to the Jake Sweeney Mazda Tri-County location when needing service done to my car. The service workers were very respectful and attentive to my requests when having work done on my car. I had questions regarding my tire warranty I had purchased from when I bought my car. When I called the location's main office, I again did not receive any calls back and it took several days of me calling to get a hold of anyone who would address my question regarding the tire warranty that THEIR LOCATION sold me. Several employees at this location had said the tire warranty was not the very best warranty, yet could not provide an answer as to why they then recommended and provided that tire warranty when I purchased the car just a little bit over a year ago from them. It made me question the quality of their service and their work, as they are working with warranty companies that are not providing quality service to their customers. In future car purchases, I would not go to this location and would not recommend anyone else purchasing a car at this location due to the location having poor communication, poor customer service, and poor recommendations in service warranties. read more
