    Seafood trio

We had heard about Jailhouse from a relative in the area. Stopped by on a Saturday evening as they were opening. Thankfully they were able to seat us. They filled up quickly and there was quite the crowd when we left. Service was fast and spot on, Thanks Adam! The meatballs apps were good. The main courses (seafood trio and seafood scampi) were delicious and plenty of food! But the desserts- oh my . The blueberry cheesecake is amazingly decadent! Prices are very reasonable. This is truly a "Supper Club", an old log cabin farmhouse/building with cute homestyle decor. A bit dark to read the menus, but that's my only drawback. I highly recommend!

The parking here is horrible so if you are handicap I would advise eating here early ! We got here at 545 pm on a Friday night and we couldn't find a place to park. We walked inside and checked in for our reservation. We sat at the bar and had a drink. The bartender working Friday night WAS VERY EASY ON THE EYES ! lol. After our first drink we were seated at a table right by the window. Our waitress was funny and was prompt getting us drinks. We ordered cheese curds and mozzarella sticks. Cheese curds were okay but mozzarella sticks were so good. I ordered the salmon with salsa it was okay. The ribs were fall off the bone. The seafood trio was good but a small portion size. The steak and shrimp was good I was told. We ordered cheesecake to go and that was okay. I like my cheesecake less fluffy. For four people who had two drinks each bill was $230.

"6" oz filet. Super small. Bérnaiase was hard and gross. 4 bucks extra.

The 6 oz filet looked like a 3 oz. The salad was fantastic! Super good! Ambiance C. Servers running around and slamming people. Not relaxing. The bar area is packed and nowhere to wait. Service was terrible. I don't say that often, but she was in a hurry, abrupt, and kept slamming into us. Not a good server. D

First time visit on a Fish Fry Friday found the parking lot completely full. once inside we put our name in for a party of four. The bar was full although the bartender was doing a fantastic job of serving and our drink order was quickly filled. Once seated our friendly server was prompt in getting our order in although the wait for food was much longer than we expected. The fish fry was very tasty and worth the wait. Our next visit will be on a different day to checkout some other menu items.

The Jail House is a gem in the middle of the country. Very country log cabin, warm, cozy ambiance that serves steak and seafood. We had a reservation but waited with a Brandy Old fashioned at the bar until ready. Our table was on the smaller lower level, which was very accessible for all patrons not having to climb stairs. The duck soup was highly recommended, and it didn't disappoint. It was hot, fresh, creamy, and thick. Soups were served with piping hot bread sticks with regular & common butter. We kindly asked for a few more as they were absolutely delicious. Next, we received our main entrees, mostly steaks. The steak was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth. I enjoyed a side of the garlic mashed potatoes, which are a blend of potato and cauliflower and very tasty. The lobster macaroni and cheese had fresh peppers, onions, and chunks of crab on top. It was very cheesy and wonderful. We will be back again, and next time I will have the 3 seafood plate. Enjoy, cheers.

Looooove the PRIME RIB! THE IDEAL SERVICE we received by attentive, respectful and courteous waitresses cannot be emphasized more. They are very cheerful and accommodating. We leave an ample well-earned tip. Great restaurant to go to for dining. Thank you! Post Review please

Steak wasn't seasoned well and not cooked to my liking after requesting, and we waited at least an hour and 45 mins to be seated.

The vibe is on point, low lighting, rustic - a versatile spot to go with girlfriends or for a date night. The wait staff is always attentive and informational, providing suggestions when we are looking for guidance on what to choose. This time around I went with a girlfriend and we decided to share a couple apps and an entre. We started with their seasonal burrata that was bursting with flavor. It was both savory and citrusy, a really nice compliment. We did have to order a side of bread with it, so that's one improvement the restaurant could make - bread is a necessity with a cheese dish! Next up we ordered their Mixed Greens Salad which was a perfect light & tangy salad with a little bit of sweetness. Highly recommend. Finally, we shared the seared walleye entree. I pretty much order fish everytime I come here because they cook it to perfection and it's something I can't make at home as easily. The walleye did not disappoint and was so flavorful and enough food for us to share. We ordered the perfect amount to split between the 2 of us. Can't wait to go back, keep up the good work!

The ambiance was nice and the service was outstanding! Food: Appetizer: Calamari - pretty basic here, very similar what you get at other restaurants Salad: Caesar Salad - I felt it was underdressed. The anchovies was the saving grace for this salad. Caprese Salad - could have used more basil. Sides: Lobster Mac n Cheese - outstanding! A little pricey but one of the best things we had this night. Asparagus - When I see it's grilled I expect crispy tops, these felt like they were kissed by the grill. Main: Dry Aged Rib Eye with Bleu cheese topping - This was great! Cooked perfectly, seasoned well, tender. 10oz Filet with wild mushrooms - wifey said it was outstanding, cooked and seasoned well. The mushrooms were good but they were marinated button mushrooms... not the wild mix we would expect. Overall Experience: Our server Addie was amazing. Especially given the waitresses did it all... get drinks, take orders, bus tables... she was able to provide awesome service. The bar selection, for me, horrible. Beer selection was 2 Macro beers and 2 Lakefront beers. Bourbon selection, Woodford and something else I don't remember... nothing for me. My wife enjoyed the wine selection though. Would we go back? Yeah.. I mean, it's an expensive place to go. The service and steaks would bring us back, everything else could use some work in my opinion. So far though, best place to get steaks in the area

The restaurant was clean upon arrival, and seemed to be a normal night for this restaurant even had the piano playing in the background. That's all when things started to snowball, upon being greeted at the hostess desk we were invited to help ourselves to a seat at the bar as they would be with us in a few moments. We had a reservation so this was odd but ok. They came back and just pointed us to a table from the bar. Waited a good while to finally get our drink order taken. Mine came quickly the misses had to wait for a good while for hers which was disappointing as we were already previously seated at the bar where we were pointed to help ourselves to a table. She said something about her water being off flavored and shortly after noticed a chunk of something stuck to the inside of her water cup. We decided to order an appetizer of the bacon jam toast thing as it was obvious at this point the staff was struggling to keep up with all the tables and they needed a moment to regroup before placing a whole meal order. The appetizer was great delicious and left us wanting more. We then ordered our steaks mashed potatoes and tried the lobster mac. All of that tasted great also. We were questioning each other where the lobster was in the mac and overheard the waitstaff talking to what sounded like a regular that they ran out of lobster. (They told them to enjoy a round of drinks on them someone was already running to get more). We finished with desert as it was our anniversary the peanut butter cheesecake. Upon arriving at the table it looked as though it had fingerprints on the side like someone used their fingers to place it on the plate. We ate it and again was very good rich and had a great flavor. You probably would ask yourself if we told them any of these things, they apologized for wait to be seated, apologized for the service several times stating "there's a few large groups in back" on their own. Replaced the water cup and said sorry about that. They knew they were out of lobster and tried to pull one more dish before getting more. Lastly we were done when desert came and just wanted to leave. Definitely not going back here anytime soon!
