So I came back to West Chester Land Rover, not to buy... but to ask Oliver to return to Main Line. This story goes way back... a couple years ago I first met Oliver at Jaguar Land Rover Main Line after a bender at Aronimink. The first time I saw him I had pulled into a crip spot outside the showroom and this pudgey little man was watching me through the glass... I started to hobble towards the door and he smirked, turning away. After that I knew I'd like him. First deal- horrendous. But the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th? I used to dream about the creak of his little bourgeois loafers on the tile floor walking with the "deal" sheet from his managers office. We became such great friends that let's just say between boys that Oliver "helped me" with some "problems" I was having with a former "wife". In short he showed up at my house at 3am with plastic gloves, bleach, a mop, and a rolled up rug. Fast forward- he left Main Line and went all the way out to dang West Chester... used to call that place a "frontier village" growing up. Drive past no-man's land (aka Newtown Square) and go another 10 miles and you'll stumble on the place. COVID19 Quarantine Review; I purchased my Discovery from here in 2018, and loved the sales service, so much so - this is actually were I bring my car for service even though I'm located in New Jersey. West Chester makes service super easy. Scheduling is done over the phone and confirmed via email. The dealership sends a driver to pick up my car and drop off a rental. Once my car arrives for service, Chip, my service manager, keeps me updated. Upon the competition of service, they even sent me a video from a mechanic outlining everything they've done and suggested. Was on phone call waiting for parts for 7mins I had to hang up.Was requesting if they have just more batteries for remote key.

Their service department is confused, with very poor communications. They try and use text but even after three texts called concerning work that I had approved when I dropped my car off and didn't need to be texted about. They are hard to reach on the phone in person. After all the calls on pre-approved work they did unapproved work without contacting me or contacting my extended vehicle warranty company (the warranty purchased though Land Rover). This lost me the chance to have the warranty pay for the service, so I ate the bill which wasn't cheap. They then tried to tell me that the work that did wouldn't have been covered by warranty this was false. I will never purchase from, or take another vehicle into them for service. They also did a piss poor job washing and cleaning my vehicle. read more

A sensor pops yellow, call Service Department, talk with Chip who has an outstanding, 'will do' attitude, he sends a man in a loaner car to my house, leaves me with the loaner car upon a quick signature confirming receipt, he takes my car back to the dealer, 5 hours later, the man returns with my car repaired, he takes back his loaner. Awful product, awful service. Since purchasing my Range Rover Sport I have had constant problems with the computer system, which I can only assume is a leftover Commodore 64 from Radio Shack. One week it's the backup camera that never goes off, another the radio doesn't work and sometimes, my favorite, the system doesn't boot up at all and all the screens are blank. Have taken it back a few times already for "updates", to no avail. Calls to the service department frequently go unreturned as I guess they don't get paid very well for this type of work. I would strongly suggest against buying a Land Rover and, if you elect to ignore this warning, search for a dealership more enthusiastic about getting the vehicle to perform as it should. For such an expensive vehicle, both the product and service are thoroughly disappointing. read more

I took my evoque to this dealership for repairs that another land rover dealership seemed to be unable to fix. The WC dealership is about 30 miles from where I live. I was treated with respect, I was informed of the steps that would be taken to find the problem, I was given the cost of the repairs and I was able to provide my opinion and experience of what problem I was having with my vehicle. Unlike the other dealership I have always taken this and my other land rover to. I was impressed with West Chester ' customer service. They were not rude, ignorant or impatient. I cannot express my pleasure at how much I appreciate the decency I was shown at West Chester. It seems that some places/people feel that they have a monopoly when they are the only dealership in the state and that they can pick and choose who they can disrespect and be rude to. All approvals and paperwork were done ahead of time and I spent maybe 20 minutes total signing and learning about our new cars. Bryan is my guy in sales. He's great, not pushy at all and always knows how to handle things during and after purchase. I used to work with Land Rover of the Main Line; however, that dealership and service department is way too snobby for my liking. Speaking of service; the service department is outstanding. Lenny, Chip, Bill and the entire staff are all A+ people. The mechanics know how to track down issues and solve them. Land Rover makes amazing vehicles...nothing compares on this planet. I love the service team here! Chip, Ethan, Len, and everyone I have met there is awesome. They have this new feature where they text a detailed overview of the vehicle and any issues they may find when you drop your car off. It's quite impressive, convenient, and provides great context before I have a discussion with Chip about any fixes and next steps. The service team is top-notch, super-professional, friendly, and they always get me in and out in time. I've been chauffeured to work instead of having to wait and they also have loaner vehicles available. My husband says dealership services cost considerably more than other mechanics, however, for the five-star service they provide, the value is there and I believe it's worth it. I use to get my car serviced in Allentown from the dealership I purchased my car from, but once I found Chip and his team, I'm sticking to getting my car serviced here. read more

My Jaguar 2009 dashboard is bubbling and it apears that this chronic with the model. It became drastically worse after my defective airbag was replaced during a recall. When i called about my options I was told that there was nothing to be done since it was outside of the warranty and would likely cost $4000 to correct. I went on line and found NUMEROUS complaints and that certain Jaguar dealers were willing to fix it for $400. Once again a situation where the dealer cannot be trusted. read more

Dropped off my car the previous night for a morning appointment. Thought they would have looked it first thing in the morning and have an answer for me in a timely manner, but instead I had to call and check on my car myself. At first when I called they were busy so I called again an hour later, left a message since the service advisor that wrote up the service order was not available, he finally call me back after 3 p.m. To find out that there was service recommendations required at over 2400 dollars. Some of the recommendations were good but when he spoke on things that I had done less then three months ago I started to question everything else they told me, so I declined the services and picked up my car. Attention to all Land Rover and Jaguar Owners: If this is the type of service you are looking for, go to this place they seem to be experts at racking costs for unnecessary work. To the owners: it's a damn shame your selling two great brands. Please re-evaluate the service department. read more

The staff was friendly and my certified pre-owned was in okay shape when I picked it up. It had a sensor issue that should have been resolved prior to leaving the dealership. I am most disappointed by the fact that I am still learning about my car 4 months after purchasing it. The salesman told me barely anything about its unique features. I have high expectations for a luxury dealership and this one in particular did not meet them. The waiting area is very odd also. Strange design for the dealership. Overall, I would only go back if it was the only dealership in the area that had the car that I want.
