There aren't enough good mechanics out there and I've never found one as good as Darrick! All the positive reviews are all true. Honest, hard-working, meets deadlines... My mom my sister and I have been taking all of our vehicles to Darrick for approximately 10 years now, every time I've had to go somewhere else, due to location, I am always disappointed. He will never cut a corner and fights for his clients. read more

Best place in the Bay Area to have your vintage Jaguar serviced.. looking forward for them to get my Jaguar running properly

Jagman has been the best experience with auto repair I've ever had. Darrick, the owner, is very knowledgeable, thorough and not only is his work is top-notch, but his prices are very reasonable. There's no fluff here, just honest, high quality service, with a friendly and easy to talk to owner. Absolutely recommend Jagman with no reservations. read more

You don't have to drive a Jaguar to get your car fixed here. I only knew of Jagman, because my boss and her mom used him for many years. Occasionally, I would drive my boss here for repairs. My 2011 Toyota was having squeaky sounds from the brakes. He was on it first thing and also noticed I had hit one of the wheels quite hard with my dreadful parking. He suggested an alignment. When I went to pick up my car, he told me the oil change folks had overfilled my car by a quart. He showed me and told me I might revisit them to have this sorted. My car felt different, certainly better. It's easy to see why other people rely on him because he's honest and a great mechanic. read more

Anytime you're looking for a mechanic, you're looking for someone who is completely honest and who does great work. That's Derek. I own a 1986 XJ6. What's great about Derek is that he does fantastic work with total honesty and integrity. What's REALLY great about Derek is that he loves my car almost as much as I do. I learn something new about my car every time I go in there, because we wind up talking cars for a while. He does more than Jaguars, so don't be afraid to bring him your other cars as well. read more

My Service warranty ran out and with an estimate of $1.4k from Marin Jan to do the annual service I decided to look elsewhere and glad I did as Derrick at JagMan is a true professional, he has a passion for Jags and loves working on F-Types. He was very consultative and honest and showed me videos of the issues he had found with his inspection of the car. He handled the service on my 2018 F-Type 340 for less than half the dealer price while also taking the time to really go over the car and finding a number of issues the dealer had created including about 20 total screws they had neglected to put back in front and rear end from prior services which were leading to rattles and some other general lack of attention issues from prior services. He replaced rear brakes and found that the coolant tank had split at the seam as well. Estimates and pricing were more than fair compared to online parts and the dealer as well. Got it all done in a day. read more

I was referred to Derrick by Corey McKinley who removed some dents from my Mercedes. My car is older but I love it and want to keep it as long as possible. With people like Derrick and Corey around, that shouldn't be a problem. They say a good mechanic is hard to find, and even harder to lose. I hope I never lose Derrick because he is the best! And as honest as the day is long... read more

I just had my wife's Jag serviced by Jagman. Derrick did a total thorough inspection of the car and advised what needed to be done and what may be a problem in the future, an item that is characteristic of older models of the S4.2 series. He also explained why my wife should not look at getting a newer vehicle since the car was in excellent shape and just needs to be maintained. The honesty, integrity, and professionalism is something that we totally appreciate. Jagman has definitely saved me monies in having service performed. read more

Always dependable and honest...we have been brining all our cards to Derek for years. He tells it to your straight!

You will not find a more trustworthy mechanic. We've known Derek for more than fifteen years. Over that time he has serviced our Mercedes, Honda, and, of course, our XJS Jag. Through his network he's even helped us buy and sell vehicles. Highly recommended! You'll always get a straight answer, and Derek always provides the most economical solution to your car's troubles. read more

Excellent, reliable service. Derek is honest and delivers on time as promised. I've used him for years and always been 100% satisfied.

Honesty, integrity and professionalism are the hallmarks of the Jagman. I'm glad we were able to find him and recommend him to any British car owner. read more

We've been taking our jaguars to Darrick for twenty years. Five years ago we started taking our jeep cherokee to him too. best quality work we can trust. read more

Just called this place because I was considering buying a beautiful 87 Xj. Owner had total integrity, when I told him the amount of miles on the car, he right away said "save yourself the energy - don't buy it." Told me I would be throwing money at it constantly. I'm completely impressed, he could absolutely have taken my money to look it over and then taken (probably a lot of) my money for maintenance. He took the path against his personal interests to impart honest input. I'm very grateful - if I ever find a jag that I like, I'm bringing it here! read more

I was referred to Darrick by a long time, loyal customer of his and I couldn't be happier with the service! He is by far the most honest, affordable and reliable mechanic around. I feel confident in the repairs done to my vehicle and the price is always less than expected. Plus his customer service is great! He ALWAYS puts his customers first. I will absolutely be a life long customer! Highly recommended! read more

I've been taking my cars to Darrick for over 20 years. I know that Darrick only repairs what needs to be repaired. Each friend that I've sent to Darrick has thanked me and they all continue to use him. Many of my referrals have been women who greatly appreciate his respectful customer service. Don't let the name Jagman fool you...he does great work on all cars. read more

Great people, honest, reliable, super satisfied and they service a Toyota for me not a Jag!

Don't wait. Take your car to Darrick, the Jagman! I don't why I didn't go to him in the first place. After taking my '97 XJ8 convertable to the dealer in Corte Madera numerous times for a shaking issue that wouldn't allow me to drive over 55 mph I finally went to Darrick. He found and fixed the problem that could have ended in an accident or destruction of my car. I will be going back for all my automotive needs, you should too. read more

Referred to Derek and couldn't be happier. Very thorough and honest. likely saved me a thousand bucks on all the work he did. Also knows JEEPs! read more

We've been taking our Jag and BMWs to Derek for several years now, and think he's a great person and wonderful mechanic. He is generous with his time, and always willing to go the extra mile for us. He's great. read more

knowledgeable timely, personal service. I have saved thousands of dollars with Darick fixes parts rather then automatically ordering the new part like they do at Mercedes. Like my electrical system that the part whole replacement shoulder would have been $1,200 cost me less then $300 with labor tor him to just re-rig it replacing only the fried pieces. read more

Derek offered to service my vehicle at a discount, basically for the cost of parts. At first I was happy with the service, that is until I had to have the same service done several thousand miles later. I took my car to a regular service shop and was suprised when the bill was more than a hundred dollars less than what Derek charged me. If Derek is willing to overcharge someone he is giving a "deal" to, I can't imagine how much he overcharges his regular customers. read more

Derek is fabulous! everyone in my family goes to Derek and he has been nothing but helpful and strait to the point. If you have car troubles or just need an oil change i would highly recommend Jagman! He has worked on my Toyota and Hyundai read more

If you are tired of exorbitant repair bills on your jaguars or Mercedes go to Jagman in San Rafael. I have been a client of Derek's for over 20 years. He has repaired and maintained all of my cars during this time, jag convertibles, BMW, Mercedes 500 SL and Jeep Liberty. He is absolutely fair, reliable, capable and painfully honest. Once you go to Derek you will not return to any other mechanic. read more
