Not just specialising in Chinese food but offering well over 100 traditional dishes from Japan, Thailand and (I believe) Sri Lanka, Jade offers the ultimate all you can eat experience.
I don't give out many 5* reviews... But Jade is one of the lucky few that earns every last one of them and then some. With a huge menu of unique dishes on offer, you'd think it would be difficult to decide what nation you would like to sample from, let alone what meal to have. But the beauty of Jade is that you pay the all you can eat price, and you order any number of any dishes (except deserts) that take your fancy.
Tempura, green Thai prawn curry (or beef/pork/chicken), dozens of not to be sniffed at soups, noodles, nut dishes, spring roles, duck pancakes, sea weed, prawn toast... Pretty much any popular "oriental" dish you can think of is available to you, and then some on top. It's quite an overwhelming feeling that rushes across your brow when you first peruse the menu wide eyed muttering to your friends and fellow diners that this simply can't be true... I can have anything on the menu?...
If your first taste of Jade is anything like mine, you'll have one smug character sitting alongside you smiling broadly at their day long hiatus from eating, and relishing their moment of hunger in the knowledge that intense satisfaction is mere moments away... I've heard people complain about quality, but I just don't understand it myself. I suppose if you are the type who doesn't eat out unless the meal has been tenderised by Gordon Ramsay's buttocks, blessed by Ainsley Harriott and fervently wined and dined by Jamie Oliver... then you'll likely be disappointed...
For me though, variety and volume Are met with quality, and there is no finer combination than that. Be adventurous, be inquisitive and rather than satisfy your taste for the orient with mediocre take outs, hit Jade for a mid week evening of wonderment and delight! read more
