DO NOT GO HERE! Dr. Grillo is completely incompetent. She did not fit my crown properly and now I have to get my tooth extracted. I am in horrible pain from an infection because she did not properly fit my crown. She did the exact same thing to my mom. Dr. Grillo cannot be trusted, save yourself future pain! Not to mention the office staff would always just hand me a card with my next appointment on it, without even asking me if I would be available... so incredibly rude! read more

I did like Dr Grillo but was thinking of leaving because of the very rude other Jackie or office manager. Her office manager is so rude and nasty, I don't understand why she hasn't been fired. I went to a biological dentist to have some old mercury fillings removed since Dr Grillo doesn't do this. I asked for my recent X-rays but office Jackie said "we can only give you black and white copies" so I had to pay for new ones even though I had X-rays that were only a couple weeks old. When I went to the other dentist he found a small cavity that Dr. Grillo had missed. Today one of my crowns she did last year feel out. Since I pay cash I'll have to pay again for the same tooth. Two stars only because I liked my hygienist. Pass on this office, the care is not up to the highest standards as it should be. read more

I just love Dr.Grillo and the staff here. They have a beautiful office and the rooms are clean and comfortable. When you enter, you are greeted by the receptionist who is always kind and friendly. I have always been able to get an appointment quickly. I was a patient of Dr. Grillo's last year. Unfortunately, after she performed two cavity fillings that left me with a shard of amalgam protruding into my gum, rough and un-smoothed fillings, and localized pain with a foul odor observed after flossing, I decided to move on. After many months of discomfort, I have had one filling replaced (to remove the shard in my gum which was observed on x-ray) and will have the other replaced soon. Both must be paid out-of-pocket as I have moved on to a new provider. I would not recommend Dr. Grillo as her lack of care and attention to my care has caused undue pain and financial costs. read more

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you Dr. Jackie for fixing my smile. I came into Dr. Jackie's dental office after I accidentally tripped and cracked my front tooth in half. I mean I literally had the smile of a hockey player who had his front tooth smashed in by a hockey puck and she fixed my tooth to look like new. None of my co-workers and friends noticed my fixed tooth which I was so happy about. I highly recommend Dr. Jackie for her excellent dental work and her warm and friendly staff. I honestly hate going to the dentist. The latex and the bone chard combo-odor is too much for me, and major panic attacks occur when I make the appointment on the phone resulting in me laughing awkwardly and talking too loud. That being said, Dr. Grillo and her staff were charming and kind to me. I came in today for a cleaning and check up. My hygienist was sweet and understanding while I turned on my headphones to tune out the sounds of the office. She "gently caressed" my teeth with her briefcase assortment full of hooks and scrapers. She didn't laugh when I winced in pain. I do have to return in a couple weeks for fillings etc. can't wait for more! read more

Beware this is more like a used car dealership than A Dentist office! I was just refused service because I didn't want to get radiated for the fourth time for one tooth and only wanted the filling not a crown. This dentist wanted to force me into getting a new crown when all I needed was a filling done as per the Dentist she referred me to for a root canal. Crazy that she would not take care of my immediate need because she wanted to bill my insurance for something that was not needed. read more

I made an appointment here because the practice accepted my insurance. When I arrived, they had forgotten to enter my appointment into their computer system, so they only had time to do my x-rays. I made another appointment for the cleaning, which I later had to cancel. They have never returned the numerous messages I left in an attempt to reschedule. Worst of all, they sent me a bill for $150 for the x-rays, which my insurance provider and the office staff both checked and told me should be covered (prior to the appointment). I called my insurance provider, and they said that the office had never billed for it. The provider eventually took care of it, but this process necessitated phone calls, letters, and time. The office still has not called me regarding the appointment or the error in their billing. If you have time for this many problems with your dentist, go for it - I still haven't met her, so I can't comment on the actual dental services. It is just too much trouble to deal with, especially considering the number of dentists in the area. read more

My husband, daughter and I have been going here for 5 years after our other dentist retired. I asked around my friends and colleagues who live in Claremont and several people recommended Dr. Grillo. First - her office manager, Diane, is outstanding. She runs the show sweetly and efficiently and is awesome about working with my schedule and especially my husband who works an hour away. I always get a reminder card and phone call. We have super good dental insurance so our prophylactic visits are paid for. When I had my two crowns done, Diane was super good about letting me know what my portion would be and a bill came in a timely manner. She was also great about scheduling me so that I did not exceed my yearly maximum! When I had my crowns done, I ran the costs past my mom who had several done and she was very impressed and said that Dr. Grillo was lower than dentist in Covina. Hygenists - As of today, I've seen three. Johanna is the one I've seen the most and we LOVE her. She is professional, gentle and thorough. Today I saw a sub named Judy and she was pretty good. I needed extra scraping as we missed our last appointment due to a family emergency but she used an electric tool and it was over way quicker. I liked that. My husband sees the other hygienist and has never had any complaints but I can't remember her name. Also, because Diane books well, there is never a wait to be seen. Dentist - Dr. Grillo is wonderful! How could anyone dread going to the dentist with her? She is professional, cautious and knowledgable. I have had her do two crowns and a couple of aged fillings (the price of getting old). She is quick and painless - seriously - she knows exactly where to give that shot to numb and is excellent with her work once you are numb. She does very good crown work and is very painstaking with ensuring that your mouth is even! They are moving their office in a couple of months but this location is an old school dental office but it is immaculate. read more

I was going to my former dentist for 24 years. I would drive all the way to Monterey Park to see her but she finally retired and the business went down once she left. I was so nervous about going to a different dentist. I live literally down the street from here so thought I would try local and the reviews seemed good, I am so glad I went! The people there are nice and friendly . They fixed some work from my previous dentist (the guy that took over for my former dentist) I feel like I am in good hands now. I hate the dentist (not them personally but the whole process ) but coming here I feel so relaxed. The dentist always checks on me when she's working , there's never anything wrong or pain but I am glad she gives me the opportunity to speak up if something doesn't feel right. As a cash paying patient, I have the freedom to chose any provider that I please and this office has never let me down. Unfortunately, I have had to get three crowns in the past four to five years. The dentist did not disclose full financial cost at the beginning of treatment, or give an estimate of costs from the beginning of service. Gave us bill same day as procedure right before work needed to be done. All these costs were going to be out of pocket.
