Dropped my car off because I was leaving for a few months for training in the national guard and need the exhaust welded. While I was at training a groundhog chewed through my wiring harness. A dog got out and tried to get the ground hog and chewed up the bumper and damaged paint on other panels. I was never contacted about the damage and the exhaust was never fixed until I was back and they gave me the car back with damages never being fixed. Sent the car back to get the grill fixed and so the bumper would stay on properly and headlights would mount. Called frequently and got ignored or told "we don't have time". After months of poor service and quality I got tired of playing games. Car still has damaged paint to hood, bumper and fairings. Lack of integrity and responsibility. read more

I had a check engine light on when I stopped in Sturgis for the night. First thing in the morning I went to O'Reilly's to see what the issue was. Turned out I needed my oil pressure sensor replaced & the guy there recommended Jacob's Auto Repair. I drove straight there & explained my issue & that I needed to get back on the road to make it to Souix City, IA before dark. Rick, the owner was kind enough to take pity on my situation and got my truck in and out in less than 2 hours and the price was very reasonable for the job. Thanks to him & his team I made it to my destination before dark. Also, I just want to mention the decor in there was beautifully rustic along with a couple chairs and a comfy couch which I enjoyed while my truck was being fixed. His front desk guy (also very nice & helpful) said Rick's wife did the decor so thank you to her for making it so nice & inviting! Be very careful, this shop charged us 500 in additional labor above their quote on a $1200 job without asking first.

Called on a Friday and got an early Monday appointment due Tuesday the sturgis events. Left trailer and had the welding done in an hour. Friendly staff and fair prices. Highly recommended. read more

This is one of the best repair shops I've ever been to. The owner was awesome, knowledgeable, and friendly. After a long trip out from Vegas, I woke up to a check engine light on my 6.7 diesel. Googled repair and Jacob's came up as close to where I was staying. Gave them a call and they said to bring it right over. Dealership said maybe have your truck back in 6 days.. haha. Jacob's had it diagnosed, fixed, and ready for pick up in 6 hours. Wish they were closer to my house, and won't wait for my truck to give me problems before I stop in a say hello if ever back in that neck of SD. Thanks guys! read more

Jacob is extremely nice and very hospitable. My husband and I are traveling the USA. As we pull out of Planet Fitness in Rapid City our van started acting up. We put some gas treatment into it thinking it might be bad gas. It wasn't. As we came closer to Sturgis I started looking up Auto Shops. Jacobs Auto Repair came up. I called to see if they could get us in. It was almost 5pm and they close at 6pm. Jacob scanned our motor to find the error codes. He said he couldn't fix it right then but could fix it in the am. He allowed us to stay on the property in our van. (Saved us money on a hotel and food). Not all people would be so kind. We highly recommend Jacobs Auto Repair. read more
