I suggest looking elsewhere first. This vendor provided a quote to our HOA on 5/2/2025 and work was scheduled on June 4th for them to come out June 12th to begin work. Part of the lag between May 2nd and June 4th was that Jackson said I'd be on the hook if the HOA didn't pay after they sent the quote in to the HOA/mangement so I went back and forth with the HOA with Jackson copied, as another owner is involved to ensure everything was in black and white for everyone. A lot of work on my end to do not Jackson's. I personally wasn't available due to family obligations the last two weeks of May. So work was scheduled on June 4th for 8am June 12th. June 10th and 11th I reached out via email and texts to Jackson/Henry/Damion asking for a timeline for how the project would go since I work from home and noise disruption is a concern. I requested that the same day equipment was removed that the drywall get installed and that request was based upon the rough timeline they were able to give me. That was met by the admin/coordinator Julia calling me with a frustrated tone around 7pm on the 11th (my appointment was for the 12th at 8:00am) stating they couldn't guarantee that and didn't want to promise things they couldn't deliver and was from my perception giving me the run around stating Damion was out of town and they've been a bit behind, etc. etc. all of that was fine and we disconnected having come to and understanding or so I thought. Julia then called me back stating the work auth hadn't been signed by the HOA and a 50% deposit was required prior to work starting so we'd have to reschedule. I let her know I understood that and would connect with the HOA Thursday to get sorted. I am trying to make a long story short but from what I was told no communication was had from the 4th (when the appointment was scheduled) until yesterday 6/16 between the HOA and Jackson related to deposit payment or a work auth. Jackson was requesting 100% payment to start the job claiming that due to lack of response on the management side the job was risky (I have texts telling me I'd be on the hook if management didn't pay so red flag) and she tried saying since there was a contract in place it would be okay to pay in full prior. I wasn't comfortable with that and the fact they kept placing blame on the HOA (who isn't blameless but not completely at fault here). Please see screenshots for the rest. Please keep in mind last week I was under the impression management was just wasn't replying to payment requests but as of now my understanding is that it wasn't requested after the appointment was scheduled. At this point another company will be coming out who doesn't require payment in full before even starting a job and who I think is fair in their business practices. EDIT ; received an email this afternoon 6/18 where she is now threatening me for sharing my experience. She emailed me instead of the HOA - please see screenshots. I have not been provided with any information to the contrary of what I've posted so all statements made have been true to the best of my knowledge and I have not communicated with Jackson in any way since this review was posted yesterday 6/17. They have made no attempt to contact me outside of the email attached either since my review was done.

Gap around outlet is a fire hazard.

I recommend you hire someone else for rebuild. A good drywaller never leaves gaps around electrical. Safety and fire hazard.

I relied on Yelp to help me choose a mold contractor. I would NOT recommend nor would I refer anyone to Jackson Restoration. I suggest anyone look at multiple contractors for the reasons below: 1. Communications started out good, but after I called out shoddy drywall work, it became mostly texts with the GM & more sporadic after that. The project seemed to drag on & coordination between subcontractors weren't in synch (cabinet guy came to install cabinets before drywall work finished). 2. The "mold restoration" company did not use water-resistant (green board) or water & mold resistant (purple board) drywall in the reconstruction. By the time I realized they hadn't used it, regular drywall was in place already. 3. Time and again, their reconstruction work--particularly the drywall work--let me down. The GM installed at least a couple of panels of drywall that had jagged edges that did not come flush with the floor edges. They were between 3 to 4 inches off! They wouldn't replace them. They just filled them in with joint compound after the fact (see photos 1 & 2). After one of their workers told me that they were going to build cabinets to hide the drywall panel sticking out about one inch away from the adjoining original drywall (see photo 3), I stopped being accepting and demanded they fix it. They repeatedly let me down with their shoddy work, poor workmanship, and overall poor cleanliness towards my home. 4. The interfaces between old and new drywall were very poor (see photos 2 & 4). I got tired of trying to get them to fix these and did some of the work myself. I pinned them down to fix one seam of new & old drywall. The putty was uneven & the waviness was obvious. This was even before they were going to put semi-gloss paint on it, which would have made it glaringly obvious (see photo 5). I demanded they fix this properly before painting. 5. They did NOT finish the water heater compartment. They did not caulk the drywall seams and did not paint it either. It had been finished before they started. I had to do this work myself. 6. They did not install the paneling correctly in an adjoining area below the stairs (see photo 6). They didn't even complete the reinstallation of these panels in one wall. I had to go out and buy insulation and wood paneling and cut it and install it myself! (see photo 7). 7. The GM brought over baseboards--I think leftover from another job--that did NOT even match the style of my baseboards! I had to go out and buy the correct style for them to reinstall in the bathroom! 8. They repeatedly applied putty or paint (see photo 4 & 8) on structures that should have been protected. They left putty on my concrete walkways outside the house and in the travertine tile hallways and bathroom floors inside. They never bothered to clean these areas, except for the GM on the last day (to hose off the concrete outside the water heater compartment only), but by then I was done with them.

His crew is professional, punctual, and patient. I'm an over-planner and worrier, but Danny and Daniel were always patient, kind, and thorough in their explanations, putting my mind at ease. Frank was also always accessible over the phone and text message if I had additional questions about scheduling and the scope of work. The company also offers general construction services, and Frank offered a bid to patch an exterior stucco wall that our plumber had to get into. Based on our positive experience with the concurrent moisture mitigation work, we decided to contract with Frank on the patching project, too. All in all, I wouldn't hesitate to work with Frank and his team again. I highly recommend Save The Day Restoration!

And then they created a containment center in both affected areas that had CDC energy! It immediately gave me confidence that they were going to take the job seriously and I was in good hands. At one point, I realized the downstairs carpet padding hadn't been removed (after they had already left for the week on a Friday), and I assumed I'd be stuck waiting until Monday. Instead, they turned around and came back within minutes to fix it. That kind of customer service is not something I experience often. Their quote was definitely higher than the other company I got an estimate from, but I felt like they were the ones who were going to do it right and not cut corners. I feel good knowing I won't have to worry about hidden moisture or mold down the line. Huge shout-out to Danny, who gave me the estimate and led the job, super professional and clearly knows his stuff. And Daniel, who felt like his right-hand guy, was incredibly respectful and kind. Honestly the whole team was great. I rarely walk away from vendors feeling this satisfied, but they really lived up to their name. Highly recommend.

He and his partner do all of the work themselves, so you know exactly who you're dealing with from start to finish. He took care of my home as if it was his own, and was responsive, transparent and communicative throughout the entire process. Having never gone through this before, it was important to me to have someone who I felt like I could trust and would give the information to me straight, and I found that in Hansel. Even when it became a larger project with more days than anticipated, they added on a 12 hour Saturday work day and put in all of the time it took to resolve the issue in my home. His prices were competitive, and he sent us a certificate of completion at the end.

Hansel was extremely detailed, responsive, professional, and communicative every step of the way. He constantly kept me updated and always took the time to explain everything clearly. During the process, he even stayed late to help locate the source of a water leak, showed me video footage of the issue, and guided me on the next steps needed to properly address it. His honesty and attention to detail made a difficult situation much more manageable. I also obtained estimates from other companies, and Hansel's pricing was very fair and reasonable for the amount of work performed and the level of service provided. He also referred us to excellent companies and professionals to help with the reconstruction work afterward, including rebuilding cabinets and repairing the opened walls after remediation was completed. The work was completed thoroughly, and the property successfully passed clearance testing. I truly appreciate all of Hansel's hard work, professionalism, guidance, and care throughout this entire process. Highly recommend.

You can truly tell they take pride in what they do. What really stood out was how much they helped us navigate the insurance process. Dealing with insurance can be overwhelming, but Natalie worked directly with our adjuster, provided all the necessary documentation, and made sure everything moved along smoothly. It took so much stress off our shoulders during an already stressful time. We are beyond grateful for their quick response, expertise, and support.
