The combination of freshly baked bread, smoked turkey, pickled avocado, and crispy bacon creates an incredible flavor in every bite. The atmosphere is just as enjoyable as the food. With its laid-back vibe and cozy seating, it's the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a great meal. Today, I paired my sandwich with Jalapeño Ranch Sea Salt chips, and to top it all off, I grabbed a Jarritos Pineapple soda--the perfect drink to complement an already amazing lunch. If you're looking for a delicious sandwich and a welcoming place to unwind, Hardtimes Deli is definitely worth a visit.

The only downside is the price, as spending ~$20 on a sandwich is never fun, but it seems like that's just about everywhere these days. However, if you're not that hungry, these sandwiches can be stretched to 2 meals to keep the cost down. A few of my favorites are the Turkey Bacon Ranch and the SSS Chopped Cheese. THEY ALSO HAVE CANNED GATORADE. IYKYK Being able to pop over to Slowdown Dry Goods next door while you wait for your food is a big plus. They always have some cool stuff to check out while you wait.

Groovy Gratitude is one of those spots that instantly lifts your mood when you walk in. The bright…read moregreen interior, plants, and relaxed vibe make it feel fresh, welcoming, and energetic. It's a great conversational space where you can sit, catch up with friends, or simply enjoy something nourishing. I had the opportunity to visit during a Yelp Elite event, and it was great seeing the community come together to support a Black-owned business that clearly puts intention into what they serve. The owners and team were warm and welcoming, creating an atmosphere that feels more like a neighborhood gathering space than just a stop for a smoothie. I tried the Green Goddess smoothie, the charcoal lemonade, and the "Let's Groove" sandwich. The Green Goddess smoothie stood out not just for the flavor but for its purpose. Packed with leafy greens and fresh fruit, drinks like this are rich in antioxidants that help combat oxidative stress in the body. Ingredients like spinach and green fruits provide vitamins A, C, and phytonutrients that support immune health, energy, and overall wellness. It's refreshing, vibrant, and exactly the kind of drink you want when you're trying to fuel your body with something clean and nutrient-dense. The charcoal lemonade was interesting and balanced. The citrus brightness paired well with the subtle earthiness of the charcoal, creating something unique but still refreshing. Now the Let's Groove sandwich deserves some attention. This isn't just another turkey sandwich. The combination of sliced turkey and turkey bacon already brings savory depth, but what really elevates it is the citrus honey mustard. That sweet, tangy acidity cuts through the richness and ties everything together beautifully. Add in fresh tomato, Colby Jack cheese, and a toasted ciabatta roll and you get a sandwich that feels simple but thoughtfully composed. Another highlight is the value. Most items are priced around $10-$13, which is very reasonable for fresh ingredients and made-to-order food. Location is also a bonus. Groovy Gratitude is just minutes from Riverside, making it a great place to grab a smoothie, juice, or sandwich before heading out for a walk along the river. It would also be perfect for picking up picnic-friendly bites. Overall, Groovy Gratitude delivers on freshness, atmosphere, and community. Great food, clean ingredients, and a welcoming space make this a spot worth supporting

You log into an app on your phone and there are all kinds of people saying things, calling attention to themselves and others, making videos, sometimes of themselves, sometimes of them using products and telling you to buy things. Most recently she is on some food reviewers that review food in their car while they eat on camera. Big Term and the Pizza Guy I think are their names. Big Term got his teeth done since the last time she showed me a video of his. It must pay well. His wife stars in some of his videos and she is extra gross with all that open mouth chewing. Ewwwww Personally I can't stand watching folks smack their mouths and eat food in the car. I find it absolutely vile and most unentertaining. How did we get here as a society? It's nasty. I don't even take pics of food with bites taken from them. Just ewwwwweewwwe Now.... You may ask.... Why in the hell did I start with that? This is how I got here. These folk infiltrated my girls feed and have got her wanting to go to some interesting places we would have never gone before. Walk in and it's a hodgepodge of stuff going on inside. Some BB King memorabilia, some cool rock and roll murals, that kind of thing. It's an interesting vibe. There are a couple conditioned patios that provide majority of the seating. Multi levels inside that would prove to be difficult for me a year ago. Now I am a real boy again though! We were sat near the front entrance. Folks waiting for to go were abound. They do a great take out business and stayed busy with take out the entire time we were there. Food took every bit of 45 minutes after we ordered. The first 15 min of that was because our server never rang it in to begin with. Pair this with it taking 15-20 to actually take our order to begin with, and it's a really long time to wait. It's ok. But not really though. Most people came and went while we sat without food. Finally someone who looked like a manager recognized we had been there for an excessive amount of time and gets things going. Thanks man. Food arrives and I am starving! C's pancakes looked great and my chicken and waffle looked pretty promising. I had never had C&W before but this seemed like a good place to start trying them. C liked her Chef breakfast with pancakes and did not even use syrup on them. I did use it on my waffle, which was pretty good of what I could eat of it. It was way more dense than I expected. I got seasoned chicken wings and they were cooked and seasoned well. The sausage is really tasty! I started this as a 4, but slid to a 3 as I wrote it, and here is why. The dang plastic ware they give you with your meal. It's the absolute cheapest you can get I would bet. People make mistakes, forget things, and kitchens get backed up, but serving that plastic crap is a choice! I'll bring my own in next time if we make it back. I gave up eating my waffle because I could not cut the damn thing with that liquid knife and fork you gave me! The knife folded under any pressure at all and the fork would not penetrate the waffle. Please buy better stuff for your guests to eat with. You have plates and cups, why not silverware? '25 - 104/111

This is THE spot in Downtown Memphis to grab a quick, fresh, delicious wrap or sandwich for lunch OR breakfast. Super-clean eatery; quick, efficient and friendly service; large and diverse menu that they are happy to customize for you; food is always fresh - and hot, according to your preference - and always satisfying for a very fair price. I do not get to visit them in person as often as I would like, but I order through DoorDash almost daily. When I do see them, I am always pleased by the vibe from the employees and owner (who is often preparing and cooking herself) and the atmosphere of the restaurant. Definitely worth the five minute walk, if I can get away from work for lunch! Go see them at Wrapzody and you will not be disappointed!
