Jack's World is the only groomer I wholeheartedly trust with my pup. I've been taking my Mini Aussie here since his very first haircut in October of last year. He LOVES going to the groomer because he has never once had a negative or stressful experience there. I tried to make a same day appointment last week for my dog to be fully groomed but they said the soonest possible time would be the following week. That was no problem because they're worth the wait. So I made my appointment for the following week but asked the woman on the phone if there was a chance she could just clip my pups nails that day since they were pretty unruly. She said of course. She trimmed Oli's nails that day and said that since he'd be coming in next week to be groomed that I didn't have to pay separately for the nail trim since it's included in the price of the grooming. Both groomers have been so sweet and accommodating to my pup and I. I felt terrible because I was 15 minutes late to Oli's appointment and would've totally understood if they had to reschedule me. Luckily the gal who helped me said that it was okay. These women are phenomenal and really go the extra mile for the dogs and their owners. Even though I was late they still groomed Oli between dogs. It's a win/win my dog gets to hangout with the rest of the dogs while he's getting groomed and I get to pickup a happy clean pup! We love Summer. Chloe has lost her sight and hearing which has left her with trust issues. Her last three grooming attempts by other groomers were a fail. One couldn't finish and left her with bangs. We are so excited we found this place and Summer!! We drive an hour just to be able to have our dog groomed here and we are not the only ones. I have a springer spaniel that has high separation anxiety and needs a lot of patience and care and Summer does an amazing job with him. I noticed that Jack's World no longer takes walk in appointments for nail trims, don't return calls to make appointments and when I walked in today to make an appointment was greeted with an air of inconveniencing the staff. I wonder if Jack's World has recently undergone new management, because I left my interactions with this business feeling perplexed and disappointed with their customer service. My takeaway is that although I love to keep my dollars local and I used to leave Jack's World with a sense of belonging and community, I will be taking my money elsewhere. read more

They are really nice to you and your dogs. Plus even when your dogs act crazy when trying to get their nail cut they are still friendly.

Great place to take your dogs and the new management is so much better. The one star review about the new management is most likely posted by one of the Dog Groomer's that left. In fact they tried to solicit my business away from Jack's World and we wouldn't have anything to do with it. The dog washing areas are nice and large and will accommodate giant breed dogs. New Management, the place has been updated but the new employees are not as friendly as the old ones. I wouldn't take my dog there as they take a few hours to groom your dog when it should take 1 to 2hrs. I'm a Californian who was visiting my dad, bored, so I decided to get my beloved Summer girl to get her nails trimmed. I was so taken with the outstanding staff that I booked a bath the next day even though she didn't really need it. They did a great job and my dog was totally spoiled by all the attention. I've been taking my cockapoo, Jackson, to Jack's World since moving to Independence. I have found them to do an excellent job of washing him and trimming up his coat. He always looks great after they're service. They take good care of him after his appointment too. I never worry about leaving him there a few hours after their service. They are reasonable in their prices. They're a small business in downtown Independence, and you have to call in advance to make an appointment. read more
