I went here a month ago. I'm not a local, but my friend and I go here when I visit. Everything was great except being rushed through my salad order, wrong fries, and Riley at the register being a tool. He was super bothered to refund my $ for the wrong fries and then neglected to submit the correct order. I waited and waited, and asked him about it as he delivered plates of fries to other tables and he told me they were cooking. I waited and waited and finally went to the counter where the other employee recognized the order was never submitted. She refunded my total for the fries and then gave me the order. I am very nice at restaurants as I don't want crap done to my food, so there was no reason other than himself for Riley to be a jerk. read more

Used to be one of my favorite places to eat, but once I got past the food, I couldn't ignore the unfriendly service. I love their BBQ tri-trip sandwich and garlic fries even though they can be very inconsistent on how the food turns out. The food is so good. This place gets 5 stars every time. We eat here about 6 times a year, and find that the food is tasty and fresh. We also find that the staff is empowered to solve issues and ensure customer satisfaction. My wife ordered the buffalo chicken salad Saturday, and didn't notice that there were walnuts on the salad. Walnuts cause my wife to develop mouth sores, so she tries not to eat them. When the salad was delivered to our table we realized what had happened. The girl delivering the rest of our order came back and asked if there was an issue with the salad. We told her that the walnuts were an issue and that we would work around them because it was our fault. She insisted on making the salad over again. This is a prime example of empowering employees to ensure you have high customer satisfaction. Great Job! Thanks for the great meal. read more

I can't go here and not get the Urban Fries. There is some kind of magic in this side- you can't really go wrong heaping blue cheese and chili aoli on top of a mound of delicious french fries. Wide selection of food. They have meat. They have salads. They have mac n cheese. They have vegetables. What's not to like? I always make my own salad with the plumb dressing and always have to get their sweet potato fries with a bunch of garlic on top to go with the salad. They have good customer service here too. I have had it with this place. I keep going back and i have no idea why. Without a doubt, every time my salad is bland, has brown and soggy lettuce and is made of pretty much all of the ends of the romaine. I have found long pieces of hair in my food a number of times as well. I also find items in my salad that i didn't even order. Clean up please! You're lucky something i'm allergic hasn't fallen in my salad. The service is absolutely terrible. I go in and there is no one in the place and the employees are standing around talking and i'm ignored for a good 8 minutes before they help me. I cant believe I spend almost 12$ for a salad, eat a couple bites and throw it away because i am so grossed out, i can't eat it. This place is run by teenagers and they do not care about the quality of the business' food or their customers' experience. The owner should really evaluate this location and make better decisions on their staff. It is WAY to overpriced for the quality of food and the experience you're paying for. Terrible service. Just because I walked in there with some jewelry and a grill on they all treated me like I was a criminal. They gave me weird looks and were very dry with me. I asked for BBQ sauce multiple times and when I got in the car to check my order, sure enough they forgot it:) went back in to get the sauce and felt as if I was a huge burden on them. It's kinda bittersweet that I work so close to Jacks now cause I'm there all the time. The salads are AMAZING! Just let the person making it know to put "light" dressing on it, they have a tendency to go overboard with the dressing. BUT I think by far the best thing there is the Urban Fries. These fries drenched in this yummy blue-cheese sauce and sprinkled with chili flakes and chili oil. Best ever! read more

Damn! I was shocked. Wasn't expecting much from a $11 meal at a strip mall place, but people recommended it and so we tried for dinner. I had the tri tip salad, and buddy had SW chicken salad. We had a plate of garlic fries. Small plate. Glad I ordered the small, hate to see how massive the large is! Everything was excellent. Salad was fresh and made to my specs. i don't like onions, so the swapped in some fresh cucumbers for me. Awesome stuff. Tri tip was just right, not too little or too much meat in the salad. Fris were great and I love piles of grilled garlic as well. Other people probably don't, but this was very tasty. If you have a chance to take a lunch break and try it, the place is great and won't set you back much. read more

My wife and I moved to Folsom about a year and a half ago from Southern California and have gone out to lots of the local restaurants. We have done Jack's a few times and do enjoy the food. It is often crowded and a bit loud but getting out to the patio tends to reduce the noise and congestion. What I liked: The ability to pick the items you liked specifically on a sandwich or salad and have high quality ingredients. The portions are generous, i usually do the buffalo chicken salad and it always fills me up not something a salad can usually do. What was average: The service is mainly a group of young people all working hard behind the counter, occasionally there are communication issues, though they fix them. This type of establishment is the type where your order from an assembly line and then make your way to the register to pay, depending on what you order it may be ready right away or you may need to wait a bit. The price is a little high for the average lunch but the portions are good and the quality is nice, it just means it is not a regular stop. Yes, this is heaven! You walk up to order, like at a Chipotle, and they make your food right there. If you order something that takes a little longer to make, then they will bring your food to your table. Their food is excellent and very fresh! We had a tri-tip sandwich that was to die for and a Santa Fe Salad that had a variety of tastes that blended perfectly together. If you have not ate here, you have to try it at least once. As one can see I don't post many reviews and I am currently in the way home after eating here and have to write it, right away because I'm so bothered. I'm not too happy that I have to write this review because I usually don't have an issue here so I don't know if it's the night staff or what but it was enough to make me not want to frequent this location again. First off we were greeted half heartedly by the girl taking our order. One of the things that kept me coming back was how energetic and friendly the staff usually is. I often en tip because they truly make you feel welcomed. I mean maybe it was because it was the end of the night. (We weren't aware they were. Losing in 20 mins) Second, thing to turn me off was I wanted the corn but they ran out. (Which I have to order a side even though I just want a scoop of it on my salad) ok fine, end of the night I guess. Third thing was we had to pay for extra lettuce because the toppings was all that was left so I need more lettuce so I could have a salad and not just toppings. Lastly, no warning that they were closing and my kiddos wanted a refill on their drinks but they pulled he tabs already! But we're still eating!!! If you close at nine, tell us to take our food to go, or lock the doors, or at least give us a heads up. Another patron got up maybe two mins before my daughter did and got a refill. Not ok! And after spending over 50 bucks I think we deserved at least a refill! Very disappointed. I guess I'll have to drive to Loehmanns Plaza. OR make sure I go in the day time. Such a shame! read more

Best menu options!! My favorite place to go to for a fresh salad or freshly sliced turkey breast or roast beef with vegetables. They have amazing Urban Fries (chili oil and blue cheese). Terrible. My Grandson and I ordered the tri tip sandwiches. 90% fat 10% meat. Inedible. It looked like the stuff you trim off and throw away. Nobody would eat this. OMG! I love the BBQ Chicken Sandwiches here. YUM! I also love their Santa Fe Chicken Salad. I can't usually eat a salad this HUGE, but I like this one sooooo much I eat it all. So Yummy! Sometimes I have the garlic fries too. I didn't really like the philly cheesesteak sandwhich though. The meat was a little tough, but I still love Jack's. I love this place! The salads are great, and huge, of course. Their buffalo chicken (salad or sandwich) is excellent, but not the healthy choice. I also like the turkey or tri-tip.
