Do they want to truck to burn to the ground?

These guys suck. Jack is a complete A&&hole and doesn't care about his customers. I'll never go back here. They lied to me and did TERRIBLE work. Box's and parts are so overpriced. Very unprofessional. Whatever you do don't even walk into this place, you will be just throwing your money away. I got nothing good out of these people. I wish I couldn't even give them 1 star. Well! I stopped in today 7/26/23 around 6 pm. Apparently I was invisible in a bright pink shirt…read morewondering around trying to decide which bulb to purchase for my Honda civic brake light. Since NO ONE was going to ask if I need any help. I finally ask Taylor for some help. Obviously he wasn't thrilled since he was standing next to the shelves eating pizza. After looking around he picks out the bulbs I need & I pay for them. Naturally I have questions as to how to change it out. Taylor tells me to look on YouTube because there are literally millions of videos which will show me how to do it myself. I asked if I need any tools ? He says no. I'm thinking ok! Because I sure don't want to get a ticket since I don't know how to change out a bulb for my brakes. And gee Mr auto parts store clerk! I get it. I'm taking you from your pizza but could you do better than that ? Welp I go outside & grab my owners manual & I start trying to pull the holder for the bulb. I look in my manual & it states I need a different size. Back into the auto parts store & this time a guy with blond curly hair looks it up but assures me it's the right bulb. I suppose I should not ever refer to the owners manual because these two geniuses are sure not going be more forthcoming. Do I need to mention that it's 101out there? In Texas ? No? Ok. After being unsuccessful trying to remove the other bulb, I decide to drive home. At this point I was hoping a cop would pull me over because I was going to ask him for help. Because gosh darn it all, O'reillys sure doesn't go above & beyond to help any customers. All I can say is that in the past I've had really nice people assist me. Clearly it was my fault I went to O'Reillys. Guess where I'll go the next time I need something ??? Damn shame! I've used O'Reillys since they were Hi/Lo in the late 90's. Awful customer service. I was very surprised. Wonder if they would let their mom/wife/sister etc drive around with a burn out brake light ??? Because guess what? I do not have family & I had just left Physical Therapy this afternoon at Baylor Scott & White so the last thing I needed was such indifference. At least at a convenient store buying a bottle of Gatorade I get greeted and told to have a nice day. Imagine my surprise when I read that they can in fact install a simple brake light bulb. Hmmm Must be nice but the store located in College Station on hwy 6 is NOT the place to go to if you need assistance. Never again !

Back home I always choose AutoZone over O'Reilly's…read more Several weeks ago I was visiting my parents and we were working on my dad's truck. We needed a few parts so we went to several AutoZone locations first. While we were able to get several parts without issue, we couldn't even place an order for another part we needed and didn't get much help at either location we visited. While running some other errands I suggested we cover all our bases and check out O'Reilly's before changing our plan of action. This one was nearby so we stopped in right before 11am. When we entered there were maybe 4 or 5 young employees all helping someone- fairly busy for a weekday. The manager finished up with the person he was helping first, so we went to talk to him at the counter. Unfortunately, I didn't get the managers name, but I wish I did, he alone was worth the trip here. He was both knowledgeable and helpful. Not only did the manager have a great suggestion to bypass getting the part, he even pulled up another company's website for what we were looking for. It was a company my father had used before, so he was pleased with the suggestion as well. Not a lot of businesses like this will think outside the box for other solutions, nor risk losing money by recommending someone else. The managers also helped us find the remaining items we were looking for while simultaneously overseeing his employees consultations. I was very impressed! By mid afternoon the truck was up and running and we were on to the next thing. I really wish I could give the manager the appropriate recognition with a proper shout out, but I'll definitely be returning HERE when I'm in College Station and have an automotive need.

I've returned things before and the staff was extremely rude about it. Between myself and my father a we do a significant amount of business there. I recently spent almost 2k in parts alone on a project between a few different stores. I know I spent around 800 on the one here. Most recently I called in to order a part. They called back to say they couldn't find it at the store they were going to have to have it delivered from. When I asked if they could get it from any place else, they said no. A few extra days wait ? No big deal to me. Still a no. Will you ever be able to order the part you very clearly sell without demanding I buy the over priced 3 times the cost same thing ? Nope. After stating that it's funny that more than one store in about a 100 mile radius carries it I heard the dial tone. I can see online it's in stock in a few different stores of theirs. I don't hate Advanced. I just hate the way this store is ran. Telling me there is no solution is a pretty great way to guarantee that at least in this town, I'll constantly be taking my business elsewhere. - come to find out Amazon is a great place to find some things. In this case it was actually quite a bit cheaper. Win win I guess ?

Stuff like jacks and tools are there, but barely better represented than at the Univ. Dr. O'Reilly store. I once tried to find a lug-nut for my car (its not a damned Hispano-Suiza; its a friggin' Toyota!), and ended up having to drive all the way to Hwy 21 & Gordon's Truck & Auto Salvage. Another time I needed engine mounts, which I knew they wouldn't stock. They had some problem with their software and the serial #s of the required parts. First they told me the two different mounts were the same price. Then they called back, a day and a half later, telling me they could only order on of the two, and that I'd have to order the other at the dealership. I decided to do both at the dealer, before the story, or their hapless supply pipeline change again.

The stock sometimes can be very limited: e.g. a few months ago, they didn't have the windshield wipers of several different sizes in their typical brand: Rain-X. Yesterday, out of 4 different types of jump-cables they had only 1, and that was the most expensive. But, it's a good store overall, and the employees had been friendly. However, yesterday, I was shocked. I came to the store about 8:45 to buy jump-cables. When I came out of the store, I couldn't start the car, so I came back into the store, and asked them to give my car a jump-start (I know, they have a special station for that, it's well visible right behind the counter). At that point one of the two employees was slowly rearranging things on the shelf, while the other, more senior was helping a customer at the register. The first employee said that he had to ask the other one. The second said: "No, not today, we will be closing soon." Huh? I should camp out on their parking lot until tomorrow? Fortunately, the customer who just had paid for his purchase has kindly agreed to help. It's the first time I've seen that employee and I hope he won't work at this store for much longer.

I have always been greeted upon entering an AutoZone. Some sort of acknowledgement, even if employees were with customers, to welcome me in, even if nobody is immediately available to help me. I'm also used to seeing a handful of employees working around the store. We came in on a Friday morning, before 10am, and I only saw 2 employees the entire time we were there. Not sure if they are short staffed or if maybe someone was on break. One was with a customer at the counter. Despite making eye contact with me, I didn't even get a nod of acknowledgement. The other employee was at the next counter over, intently looking at a computer screen. She avoided looking at me at all, even as I waited in her line (a line that was just me). I didn't expect her to drop what she was doing, but I did expect a cursory 'be right with you.' I patiently waited for her to wrap up what she was doing before speaking to her, so I wouldn't break her concentration. However, I got the distinct impression she was waiting me out to see if I would go away. I did have to eventually say 'excuse me' and see if she could bring me a part. Her body language and curt tone made it clear that she felt I was a nuisance. When she did get the part she practically tossed it at my husband who had joined me, pointed at the station right next to her and told us to check ourselves out. As I type this, I am now laughing because this sounds so ridiculous and doesn't match up to any previous experience I've ever had with this company. Listen, I'm a reasonable person. I fully expect that corporate told this store they are testing out this self service station (because I've never seen it anywhere else, unless they just don't utilize it or have it marked in any way) and to get as many customers as possible to use it so they can gather data before rolling it out at other locations. I'm not mad about self checkout at all! I just can't believe the obvious disdain and eye rolling we received in such a brief interaction! The customer experience from this one visit was definitely 2 stars. However, reviews should encompass more than one aspect, and AutoZone as a whole still offers needed products and services at a reasonable price! While most locations get a 4 or 5 star rating from me, this one is barely getting a 3. The fact is, that I ended up getting much more help from a competitor I normally avoid as a direct result of our visit here.

As I'm a college student I needed someplace that was reliable and cheap, and Safeco was just that. I read plenty of reviews before going and even though many mentioned the appearance was a bit run down, everyone seemed to agree that the service was great. I called on a Saturday and spoke with Ali who was extremely helpful and accommodating. He gave me an estimate that was less than half of what every other shop had quoted me in town, and he instructed me to come in on Monday, since he had to order my specific windshield (quick customer service, huh?) On Monday I arrived, a little skeptical because the previous review made the establishment seem really sketchy, to be honest. However I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The shop was easy to find and it wasn't as run down as I had pictured. The driveway does have a few potholes that have apparently been a losing battle for them in the past (thanks to all the rain here) and sure, the waiting room is tiny, but honestly they are so quick you aren't there for very long anyways. And for the record there were no "girly pics" inside (nor did I ever get the impression that there had been.) My car was taken back almost instantly, and over the next 45 minutes I happily chatted with Ali while they worked on it. He was very pleasant and immediately put me at ease. He was even nice enough to give me an additional student discount once my car was finished. I waited to write this review because I wanted to give it a week to see if my window had any seepage or anything from being put in improperly. I'm happy to report it was expertly installed and there are no such issues (though Safeco offers warranties in case there is.) Overall I would recommend this place to anyone needing a window repair, body work or mechanic services. Their work is great, the people who work there are extremely friendly and I would easily take my car here over the dealership or the chains that are rude and try to sell you additional services that you don't need.
