Pulled pork grilled cheese w/ cajun fries.
Daniel K.

Mmmm... these guys can make a MEAN pulled pork grilled cheese sandwich! They put a ton of juicy, smokey pork on there, as well as smokey gouda. The bread is also buttery and perfect. The main reason I am giving them three stars is because they forgot the BBQ sauce on the side, which would have completed it. Also, the prices are pretty high ($8 for my sandwich!) and the wait was horrible (45+ minutes in line). I also got Cajun fries on the side. They have a very nice kick and flavor. Anyway, I definitely recommend trying Jack's out if you have plenty of time and money.

very disappointing, grilled cheese was dry toast with leftover bits of char from the grill, fries were grossly over salted.

Pretty extensive menu with some pretty interesting looking burgers!!…read more I got the Hot Bastard and sweet potato fries. I just got the burger as it came, it seemed like it would be good as is. And it was! Had a spicy kick as you'd expect. It was very busy when I was there so there was a bit of a wait for orders to be taken and for the food to come out however, again, it was pretty packed so I'm not gonna begrudge anyone some delays when things are busy. I sat outside as it was a nice evening albeit slightly chilly and I didn't have a sweatshirt or jacket but that's my own fault. I'd definitely go again but I would also definitely get something other than the Hot Bastard - not because there was anything wrong with the Hot Bastard it's just the are so many good looking burgers on the menu I want to diversify!!!

They seemed to have a good amount of parking but thankfully it was walking distance away from my hotel. Order-to-Entree: 17 Minutes I easily found a table for two and there's ample indoor and outdoor seating. We got our beers pretty quickly, and our main courses came decently quickly as well. The burger was juicy and the sweet potato fries were solid. They've got an amazing diverse burger menu and I can see why it's a local favorite. Would definitely come back again.

This unassuming restaurant tucked in a corner of nondescript row of stores has stood the test of time. My first review of the place was in 2013. Here it is 13 years later then it is still going strong. I went for lunch with the family on a snow day. You order at the counter and they bring it to your table. No numbers, they just remember who you are. I always get combo number 1 and add sweet potato fries. The prices are great and not much more than McDonalds but the difference in value is significant. The burgers are not thick but this time I noticed the double burger (#2) is just a couple of bucks more than the the single patty in #1. Note to self for next time. Although the patty is thin, the flavors work. The burger comes with lettuce, tomato, onion, and mustard. No ketchup, you add that yourself. The bun with sesame seeds always comes out piping hot. Sweet potato fries are crispy and not greasy. The combo comes with a drink for $10.99. That's a deal. I hope they stay in business another 13 years!

The patties are juicy, the buns are toasted perfectly, and everything tastes fresh and made with care. You can tell they are not trying to be trendy. They are just focused on making a solid burger every single time. It is the kind of place you keep coming back to because it never disappoints. Quick, simple, and consistently good. If you care more about flavor than atmosphere, this is the spot.

Chip's Old Fashioned Hamburgers is an old school hamburger joint that is a landmark in Dallas. You…read morecan get an poppy seed bun burger and shake with a large side of Dallas history. The neighborhood may continue to change around it, but Chip's remains the same. My Overall Rating - 4 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Chip's has an old school, nostalgic feel. The restaurant has an iconic sloping roof with a yellow outdoor exterior and a big green sign with its logo. Inside, there are plenty of booths, a bar, and even outdoor seating. Chip's has grown and expanded over the years but to me that adds to the nostalgic charm. 1 Star. Service - Chip's may have invented counter service. Upon entering, you look at the menu posted on the wall and place your order. You'll get a number (or they'll ask for your name), and you grab a table, and when your food is ready it comes out. Fast, efficient, and the staff was super friendly. 1 Star. Food - Chip's is known for its poppy seed hamburger buns. While it's pretty and tasty, the most important part, the patty, is pretty average. Honestly, there are many other great burger joints in Dallas. On the other hand, the fried onion strings are a must order for your side. While I wasn't a fan of the burger, the fried onion strings saved my meal. The Oreo and Fresh Banana shakes were also a nice cold, creamy, sweet ending to my meal. 1 Star. Will I Return? - Yes. I hope Chip's never changes. The restaurant has an iconic look, it's part of Dallas history, and the staff is great. 1 Star.

Just straight up classic counter service and I was happy for it. The reason I take off one star is because I ordered the turkey burger, but when the chef brought it out he said "here's your chicken burger". So I'm not actually sure what I ate, but I'm also okay with that. It's kinda like a pick your path you know? Anyway I'd definitely go back. Super tasty and the bun was great. The fries were great. The fried pickles were great. Just vibes and love.

HAHA Ordered the #5 Double Meat special and fries. People love comparing this to that, etc....I've never had 2 burgers like this. I will be back for sure soon! Strange to think this place could get full, but I bet it does on a daily basis at lunch/dinner. 1st spot you see might be the last spot you see during a busy lunch/dinner rush.

It does have an old vibe to it with the people go to you to order the food. There are many cars outside and was worried that it would take awhile. The servers come to you and you order through their tablet. I had to take a minute, but you have to make sure you have your blinkers on and they will come to you. I ordered the following #5 Special with bacon #1 The best burger and then the cheese fries I got the order within 10 minutes and did not take too long. Once they deliver the food to you, I paid through credit card and then you can tip them so I gave them an 18% tip as they were nice and serve the food to me. The food is very messy and oily so make sure you bring some hand sanitizer. They packed in a lot of napkins as well. The burger itself was just alright, was a little cold for me though so not so sure how long it was waiting. The lettuce and tomato was a little on the soggy side. The meat itself was just alright. When I ate it, I did not experience the wow factor. I can not complain about the price however. Overall, I rather go to Inn-n-out, but I am glad I got one of the places to try in Dallas out of the way.

The fries were decent yet the place is called chop house burger NOT chop house fries...the service was subpar as well. No one greeted me when I came in, nor did they acknowledge the next guests that followed. The young girl who appeared to be the manager was very short with the next customers who asked simple questions about ordering food on the kiosk screen. She had an earpiece in and yelled to them instructions about ordering and that the drink machines were out, yet they didn't hear her. When they asked her to repeat what are said, she huffed and puffed, removed the earpiece and repeated the instructions brashly. I was disgusted by the food and experience. TRASH! Never again
