Even tourists get a Presto card to ride UPexpress and TTC. Toronto has a big investment in the PRESTO system, and it staff. Why is the parks department running an inefficient parallel system with a separate website for buying tickets. The Toronto parks dept does not have the in-house expertise in the maintenance of the new electronic ferries. In fact the appropriate planning for the electrical infrastructure did not happen under the parks department, so it was delighted to a more appropriate department. The same thing should happen with the island ferry fare payment system. Put it in the hands of PRESTO. Upgrade the ferries to PRESTO card now.

We arrived around 6:15 and all the spots on the top of the boat were taken so we sat inside. When the cruise starts you can move around the boat which was nice. Our tour guide was friendly. She only spoke for about 20 min of a 60 min ride though. I thought for sure I would learn more about the city. That was a bit disappointing. There are drinks and snacks for sale on the boat and a restroom available. Overall the boat ride was relaxing but I most likely wouldn't do it again.

We paid the latter, which was $13.50. The poster clearly said the fare was one-way when we visited. After about a 5-10 minute wait, our water taxi had arrived. It felt like we were going high speed, with wind in our hair and a great view surrounding us 360 degrees. The taxi docked at Centre Island, and everyone disembarked.

It's also only a few dollars more expensive. Usually I take the water taxi to the island, and the ferry back. The ferry back is free, and you need to check the city time table. They have two docks - one at Yonge St and Queens Quay, behind the Greek restaurant, and one at York St and Queens Quay, behind Beaver Tails. Recently the price is $12.50 cash, $13.50 card, one way. You can expect to wait up to 45 minutes on a long weekend, or sunny Saturday or Sunday. Otherwise, this year I've never waited more than 20 minutes. Often it has been 5-10 minutes Usually I go to Hanlans and the ride is about 5 minutes. You get incredible views of the city and it's worth the trip. Note: depending on the waves in the lake, you may get splashed, so you might not want to sit close to the front of the boat.

We had also missed our 11am tour because we ran late in storing our luggage at a nearby storage locker and the staff person at the window had no issues rescheduling us for the 12pm tour. Amazing!

From start to finish, this was an extremely professional and well-organized experience. The tour guide was knowledgeable, engaging, and kept everything moving smoothly throughout the day. One of the best parts is how convenient the pickup system is -- they have pickup locations near all the major hotels in Toronto, which makes the whole process incredibly easy for travelers. There are several add-on options for the tour, and I highly recommend three of them: 1. The boat ride into the falls 2. Journey Behind the Falls 3. The helicopter ride The helicopter ride especially is one of those "you only live once" experiences. If it's outside your budget, though, the boat ride and Behind the Falls are still more than enough to make for an amazing full day. One thing I'd personally skip is the tower stop. The views are fine, but honestly the tower in Toronto is much better. Now for the one major warning: the cancellation and rescheduling policy is brutal. Even if your flight is delayed or canceled and you provide proof, you are still out the full amount. No refund, no reschedule, no flexibility. We learned this the hard way after our flight got badly delayed. I contacted them hoping to move our booking to the next day and basically got told, "good luck and goodbye." That said... the story has a happy ending. We ended up sprinting through the airport, grabbing a taxi directly from the terminal to the pickup location, and arrived at 8:03 for an 8:00 AM pickup. I had been communicating with them during the chaos and they agreed to hold the bus for five minutes. We used three of those five minutes like it was the final scene of an action movie... but we made it. In the end, I absolutely recommend this tour. Just book carefully, maybe avoid scheduling it immediately after your arrival flight, or get travel insurance for peace of mind. If you plan ahead, you're going to have an incredible time with a professional, organized tour company at Niagara Falls.

We did a few stops along the way including a toilet break at a beautiful flower park, a break for maple syrup tasting. John ensured everyone who purchased tickets to behind the falls and the steam boat tour had tickets. And he happily escorted our group to the front of the line. Everything went smooth and John along the way gave us facts about parks and buildings as well as a few fun history facts about Toronto. I highly recommend this tour. The trip was pleasant and quick. I came back from Hanlan's point after dark and once again there was only me and another passenger returning. Meanwhile a massive long line was forming for the public ferry on the return trip. The staff didn't collect my $13 payment until I exited the boat. I like that we didn't have to wait around for other passengers to fill up the boat. It was so convenient. They also run until 1am! Staffs were also very friendly.

All very smooth and everyone very pleasant. Plane was clean, but washroom floor was wet. Stews were great. We had upgraded to more legroom which also included a meal. Bonus points for meal. Cold breakfast, see pics, it was excellent. The bonus points were for not a single piece of plastic. I was surprised at the amount people taking advantage of the free liquor at 10:30 am. Also included in fare was priority luggage unloading. I literally was among the last 2 dozen of passengers to finally get our luggage. Only place where the ball was dropped.
