I planned on ordering something at the drive thru but I saw there was a few cars lined up so I opted to order inside. Had I waited in the drive thru I would've gotten my food faster. It took quite some time for someone to finally take my order as there was no one at the register and it took just as long to finally get my order. Yesterday, I ordered the Homestyle Chicken Club and didn't realize it comes with pork bacon. Today, I specifically told the cashier "no pork," and he confirmed "yes." This "Jack in the Box" restaurant may well be the first place where I've encountered discrimination against pedestrians, cyclists, basically anybody that's not in a motor vehicle. After a particularly energetic and LONG walk, I figured I'd drop in and grab some fries and a beverage of some sort. This was around noon on a Monday. There was a long line at the drive-through, so the restaurant was clearly open, but the main door to the dining room was locked, and the only occupant was an employee who looked up from her cell phone just long enough to give me a fleeting dead-eyed stare through the window, and then return to her cell phone. Not so much as a single, "I'm sorry, the dining room is closed", just a "**** off" look. As I passed the other side of the building, there was a trash can acting as a barricade to entry / exit at the side door. There was not a single sign indicating any closures. I grew up getting Jack-in-the-Box in San Diego. I haven't had a good experience at Jackbox since I moved the Pacific Northwest. This Jack-in-the-Box is no exception. How are you gonna tell me that you're not making tacos when you have a 24 hour fucking Drive Through. You can only help one customer at a time in the drive-through and you make people park up front that way you can keep your meter down in your drive-through. Your customer service sucks your communication skills at the speaker in the drive-through sucks you kept your lobby closed way longer than any other friggin restaurant on planet Earth after Covid. This Jack-in-the-Box does everything they can not to serve you. I'm not sure why I even came back the last time I went there, they told me to park around front and then 15 minutes later brought me my order and told me they forgot I was out there. Waited in a long line. They took forever to fill each order. Both of my combo meals had cold and stale fries, and both burgers were completely cold with dried out burger patties. They also charged me for 4 tacos, but didn't give any of them to me. It was absolutely pathetic to be charged $28.00 for that awful food. There is a new young male staff member who did not give me my card back at the drive thru window after trying to confuse me with messing up my drink order. I went in next day to see if they had it and they did not. They apparently keep cards in a cup on top of a fryer and have some laying all over the place as well rather than inside a cash register so staff members don't have easy access. I went home since they didn't have it. Later that evening someone tried to charge the card and showed the location of this exact Jack in the box. The guy who was helping me the day before in the drive thru was there and said someone tried to use it in the drive thru. It's not that hard to fess up and give someone back their card. The service is so bad, that corporate customer service has sent me coupons for free meals on three different occasions. Most recently, I went here on Christmas day. . They only had THREE people working, and there was a huge line of cars at the drive thru. (I'm guessing 10 cars). Rather than wait in that monstrous line, I went inside. There was one person ahead of me who told me they had been waiting for someone to come to me counter for 30 minutes. At that point, I had already been waiting behind them for 10 minutes. When coming inside to order you wait 15 minutes to be acknowledged which is what happened the other night when we tried to eat there. I grew up eating Jack-in-the-Box - Southern California - it was always good fast food. I am back on the West Coast and was happy to see a conveniently located Jack-in-the-Box. This was my third and last time going there. The other two times were just as bad but I was hopeful it was a fluke. Went through the drive-through and the service was OK, however, rookie mistake for not checking but my order was incorrect. Missing some monster tacos but that wasn't the worst part - fries cold, bun on the hamburger hard, asked for one hamburger to have no onions but, I supposed to make it easier they chose to make both hamburgers with no onions - sucked for the person who wanted the onions, but since the food was so nasty, no onions was the least of our problems.
