I can remember when this location first opened here in Terrell, I know I for one (and know I'm not alone here) was very happy it opened... always been a fan for several years earlier, especially when I lived in Houston... menu favorites include the tacos, and the Jumbo Jack... At least in my experience, the tacos are pretty much the same as I remember (still a favorite) And I do still like a jumbo Jack, however... and I must say across the menu, quality has declined... . Lately the burger patties tasted like they were pre cooked, then warmed again before served, seems the other ingredients are skimpy at best... I'm well aware of the past pendamic but if we are to pay a fare prices, please keep the quality up!!! As far as service has most always been friendly and prompt..., but as usual and typical of fast food places check your bag... especially for condiments especially NAPKINS!!catchup, salt. Sauces etc Store appearance... well it's pretty sparse, the chairs, tables, etc are the very same as the day they open some 20+ years ago and looking worn... the dining room could use definitely use an overhaul, with some livery décor, with bright colors etc... In conclusion and overall, I think I'm still satisfied with the food (except as I mentioned above) the dinning room even if it looks dated, appears to be clean and orderly... It's 6:10 am. This location is supposed to be open. The woman that opened up tried telling me to leave because she had just gotten in and had not prepped. I told her that I'm not leaving. This place is suppose to open at 6 on the dot. Owner needs to hire someone that can have this place ready to serve at 6. read more

On 3/8/23 I posted a one-star review for the one and only Jack in Terrell, Texas. Same day, some spokesperson threw out some sympathy lines and said if I wanted to take it further to follow a website link. Well the link was a long ass drawn out survey, I completed it, same day, I gave them my views and asked to be contacted. 4/14/23....I'm still waiting! Jack if you really don't care if customers are happy at least stop pretending. Damn app will not let me post without a star...I would ask for change or a refund on my star but Jack don't give refunds unless food was purchased through app................. read more

I've been eating Jack tacos for over 50 years. This Terrell location has the worst I've eaten anywhere. They rarely put cheese in them and very little lettuce. If you want a fried taco with nothing in it, this is your place. read more

1 star because it's the lowest you can give. They got some of my order wrong. One burger missing cheese (which I said 3 times, and was correct on the receipt), tacos with lettuce that were supposed to be without. Missing condiments and the drinks did not taste fresh. I tried to call to let them know and they DON'T answer the phone. That is very unprofessional, and I don't live close enough to just drive back right then. Overall terrible experience and after reading others reviews I see this has been a problem for a while now. Shame. read more

I have always loved jack in the box tacos but slowly thru the years the company kept adding less meat in the tacos now, it's basically all shell, you're lucky if you get any lettuce on them too. Honestly It's true what people say you have to be drunk at 2am to like this food. And the service is always slow at any jack too. read more

This place is a JOKE!! The worst Jack in the Box I have ever been to.. Ordered the chili burger combo with an extra SIDE of chili with regular fries. The fries were half regular and half curly and they were very stale, so I and guessing they were to lazy to cook new ones. They told me they put the extra chili on the burger instead of on the side. I told them I want a side of chili for my fries. So, they gave me this huge bowl with 1 tablespoon of chili. Are you kidding me, I paid .79 cents for a tablespoon of chill .? Awful, everything about this jack n box is just awful. Trash all over the parking lot, even the trash can was spilling over. Night shift employees are rude and unprofessional. Close the restaurant whenever they feel like doing so instead of following the posted hours. read more

i too should've checked out the terrible reviews before stopping there on today i see. i rarely take the time to give bad reviews on a company but just don't give them my business anymore instead but I'm giving this one today due to unfair business practices at this location. watch what you order folks and then ask for a receipt after ordering to see if the same price is on the board. i ordered a #5 which was $ 7.68 and was a bit puzzled how the total amount went to $ 9.07. after asking for a receipt and seeing i was charged different from the board amount and the young lady said she upgraded me to a medium meal instead of the small that i ordered on her own. i asked her did she think that was the right thing to do to a customer and she said no. can yall imagine how many people they do that too on a daily basis folks, just think of the extra money they get from folks like that everyday. unimaginable to say the least and very unfair from any establishment. We wanted go get some food at 12AM and it says that they are open 24hours and when we where about to order a guy yelled out "we're closed" and they also had the 'Open' sign on. This location is trash. The night shift crew keeps finding new ways to run customers off. The first incident they shorted me on food then blamed me and the manager kept making excuses for the reason the employee shorting me on my food. Then a couple of weeks ago my wife and i were on our way home from the hospital around 4 am and we pulled into the drive thru and we were the system was down but right before we pulled away we were asked if we knew what we wanted. And this morning at around 5 i pulled into the drive thru and i ask if i could due 2 transactions and i was told they could only do one order per car. I was the only customer there. I love jack in the box but i give up on this location. read more

I'm fairly picky when it comes to Jack in the Box restaurants - I worked at a JITB in the 1980s when I was in high school, so I know how things run there - and while it's been 25 years since I worked at a JITB, their operations have not varied much. This is a good location. The staff listens to you and gets your order right and the food looks good and is fresh when you get it. I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. I've been a number of times through the drive-thru here, but I have not been in their dining area. For fast food, the egg rolls are pretty decent and I'm a big fan of the Sour Dough Jack. I don't like sauce on it - and when I came through the drive-thru last night, I ordered one without the sauce and asked for it to be well done. They did such a great job on it. The bacon was crispy and not burnt. I really like the toasted rye bread. It's a little pricey for fast food - but it's because it's better quality than average fast food. This location is open 24 hours... a rarity in a small town, but a smart idea right next to highway 34. read more

Horrible, horrible, horrible service. When i ask for the manager i get told "who tf do you think you are b****!" The guy with the mojo brown truck, that claims to be in tango blast tells me to eat his ass just because i said thank you.. that moments later i run into the individual out of work on the Walmart drive way as he passes by in his truck and from a distance i see him make a aggressive u-turn and I panic and try to run but he speeds twards me and as he yells "tango blast n****!" Ordered Sour dough Jack. My favorite sandwich but they didn't toast the bread. I called the several times on the phone but no one answers. I will take my sandwich back tomorrow and ask for refund or exchange. It really does taste different without being toasted. I thought at first they had changed to rye bread on it. Not a place to go to get breakfast on the run. Ordered the new Southwest Scrambler Plate, but got regular scrambled eggs, a million pancake dollar rounds and 3 pieces of wafer thin bacon.
