As Halloween was approaching, I began to receive flyers from Jack-in-the-Box advertising their monster tacos and mummy-wrapped tacos. I was excited to see what all the hype was about, so I decided to stop by this Jack-in-the-Box to get some of these advertised items. As I approach this Jack-in-the-Box, I was pleased to see how well kept the grounds were and how well lit the Jack-in-the-Box signage was surrounding the building. I ordered their monster tacos and mummy-wrapped tacos along with a "witch please" shake and some French fries. The young lady that took my order was professional and friendly. As I waited for my order, I was pleased to see how clean the inside of the dining area was...In fact it was spotless! All the tables were wiped down and clean and all the seats were clean as well. Although the dining area was pleasant, it was not as well lit as I would've liked it to be. It was quite dark inside for a fast-food restaurant. My order took a little longer than I expected because there was a rush of customers that came in around dinner time, at the same time I did. Upon receiving my order, the cashier apologized for the wait. It wasn't too long of a wait considering how many people there were inside. When I got home, I was pleased to see everything that I had ordered in my to-go bag. Everything I ordered was good, however the tacos were not what I expected. Although the monster tacos and the mummy-wrapped tacos were delicious, they were certainly not filled as much as I thought they would be from the advertisement I received. I believe the staff at this Jack-in-the-Box can do a little better by being more generous when filling their tacos for their customers. Overall I had a good experience here, but I think there's room for improvement at this Jack-in-the-Box. If the dining area at this location was more illuminated inside and they were a little more generous in filling their tacos this would've been a five-star review for me. However, overall, I would still recommend stopping by here for a meal. read more

This is the worst fast food place in town. They have fell so far off. I don't know why i try at all. I'm officially done. From getting spicy jack chicken with 2 small tenders inside to getting old dried up poppers to tonight with the greasiest chicken jr sando and $3.99 for 3 jalapeño poppers??? Generally I try to not do the fast food thing that often. Of all the FF restaurants, JITB is one of my favorite options. This particular location isn't the nicest in town, which I forgot when I told Dear Hubby that I had a craving for a croissant breakfast sandwich. The location on Cochran and Madera is a better choice. This one is really sterile inside, by which I mean it lacks any discernable character in the decor. It's as though they don't want you to linger for a second longer than it takes you to wolf down your food. Also, I offered a friendly greeting to the cashier and she acted like she didn't hear me and just wanted to know what I wanted to order. Oh-kay. Since I am not eating dairy, I had to skip the cheese on my sandwich. Yep, there may (or may not) be butter in the croissant, but that's less obvious than a cheese slice. By asking to leave off the cheese, they also decided to leave off the mayo. I ended up with a dry croissant, with a paper thin slice of ham, two small tasteless pieces of bacon, and an overcooked egg. Pretty much lacking in flavor. Sheesh! From craving the normal flavor combo of the ingredients to ending up with a dry non-entity of a sandwich, it was disappointing. I honestly don't give many reviews on fast food places. But this jack in the Box is definitely the worst location in Simi Valley . We sat in the drive through for over 20min with only 3 cars in front of us 1st mistake we made. Then my husband goes to order just a shake and ask if he can have a small glass of water, the guy charges us $2.79 for tap water yes tap water (get the heck out of here!!!) you gotta be kidding me. So we asked him to take it off. When we came to the window to get our shake, he had a very snarky attitude. I'm sorry but I'll be taking my business elsewhere. They don't accept the coupons from snail mail. The other locations in Simi do. I know this one use to. Sure they accept app crap too. Staff was rude. Basically done with this location. I ordered a special they have on the window.Double jack combo and also to my surprise.The burger was cooked right and most of all hot and delicious.Made to order.Good job. Now I've never been to this location not knowing how it looked before,however it has been remolded and for the most part for a fast food location it was comfortable. The floors where clean and tables and no debris on the floor. The cashier was friendly and polite.(Yvette) I told her don't loose that smile. Now something I observed was that a male employee that was making the burgers wasn't wearing any type of hairnets,caps or other suitable covering to confine all hair. I went to this location the other day and went through the drive thru. when I went to pay the guy swiped my card and said "what is the pin?" I was like I'm not saying my pin can you just run it as credit? the worker said no that won't work can you just tell me your pin. He got a really irritated tone as if I was in the wrong. Under no circumstances should anyone ask for my pin to be said out loud. I always go through the drive up window and they take my order perfect and my food is always perfect too.

Order was placed in the drive thru and was given drinks from one person only to be given the food from another. When asked if the order was complete, was assured it was and then they walked away. When we got home the order didn't include the fries that were supposed to be part of the combo order. No receipt was given so there was no order number to call and tell the manager. When getting food from the drive thru I should be expected to dig thru the bag before leaving to assure someone has been mindful and thorough when completing my order. Ordered through drive thru 4/30 @ 1003pm and I received the BEST drive thru experience EVER. There was an older Asian lady working not sure if she was a manager, if not she should be, and she was so happy. Not sure if you've actually taken a chance to look around lately but ALOT of people are going thru depression due to this covid crisis, and I have to tell you.....that smile, body language, just amazing welcome I was greeted with, had more value the the food ordered or even the money I used to pay for it. It was 10:30 ish at night and I was going through the drive through. For some reason, the Apple Pay machine for drive through wasn't working so I had to go into the store to pay with card (since I didn't have cash). The night worker kindly opened up the store for me, which was already super nice of him... then as I walked up there were 2 creepy guys sitting outside right next to the door. Not only did he open the store for me, but he stood by the door and made sure I got in my car and drove off safely. Great service, excellent people. It's a Jack in the Box, so you can't expect much.. but this one is showing its age. The facility is dirty and run down. It's often pretty dirty and full of sketchy characters. Not a place I'd suggest having a nice lunch with your kids. The employees are usually friendly, though, and there is a decent amount of parking. Overall, if you MUST clog your veins with Jack, I'd suggest the one at Cochran/Madera. This one is just not good. read more
