We had never gone to this restaurant before. When we got out of our car the trash can outside was full to the absolute brim. We came inside and stood at the counter. Employees walked by us not one acknowledged us or even greeted us. This went on for at least five minutes finally I said to a woman working there behind the counter could you kindly wait on us. She mumbled something then walked away. Just beyond the rudest, most obnoxious employees I've ever seen in my life . None of their employees even spoke to each other. They were not crowded at all. There was a gentleman in there waiting on his food and I turned to him and asked him how long he's been waiting and he said it was ridiculously long. Terrible!! Going through the drive through should not take 35 minutes. Waiting our turn, watching the 3 cars in front of us return and walk into the store with their bags to correct their orders. When an employee walks to the door and yells to my car "are you still waiting on an order?" The other girl said yes, they both come to the car hand me my order and tell me to check it. We stopped in here on the way home from St Louis. I was not impressed with the inside of the location because the floors were sticky and the coke machine was not working. They also did not have any napkins or ketchup or anything to get. Also we were not greeted or anything by the cashier. He just stared at us until we ordered and never said a word. After my last experience, last fall, I made a formal complaint and was contacted by the District MGR, Tonya Holland. She of course, profusely apologized for my encounter with the vulgar, unprofessional manager at this location. She told me to come back and get whatever I wanted from the menu. I explained that I live in GA and that I am only in IL once or twice a year. She then told me that no matter when it is that I return, to go to the O'Fallon location and make them aware that she told me I could be made whole & my order would be fully comp'd. When I went to the O'Fallon location and began explaining my situation to the cashier, she actually remembered the conversation that I had with Tonya because Tonya shared it with the staff. So the cashier proceeded to tell the manager about my situation and this rude, unprofessional manager said well if she had the problem with the Swansea store, she has to go there. I then explained that these were not Tonya's instructions. The rude O'Fallon manager then calls Tonya and she tell me that Tonya said I need to go to the Swansea store. I asked for Tonya Holland's number and called her. I reminded her who I was and she said I needed to travel to the store she was at. I reminded her that she specifically told me to go to the O'FALLON store because my previous experience was so horrible. She then tells me that because my issue was so long ago, she doesn't have any record of the encounter and would be limited in what she could do. I politely told her that based on the rude, unprofessional behavior from two of her managers, I'm not surprised she's not a woman of her word who'd make good on her promise as it seems to be a trend with Jack In The Box! The Service needs help. 3 times and 3 negative experiences all with service. This last time I ordered 6 tacos and a 3 piece egg roll. I got pulled around to wait and it wasn't that busy. After 15 minutes my order is brought to me. I asked if I have my taco sauce and I'm told no and the server goes back in to get it. While he is doing that I check the bag and noticed I was short 2 tacos. I went in the building before he came out to let them know I was short on the order and I'm not happy. Later after I left I noticed I didn't get the sauce for the egg rolls. Waiting that long for items that don't take that long to cook and it wasn't busy should not happen but to get the order wrong in that process adds to it. If it was a 1 time issue I would not be as upset but as stated earlier, this is the third time something like this has happened at this location. It's something wrong in their training or management. We stopped in while traveling. None of us had every had Jack in the Box and wanted to give it a try! The staff wasn't overly friendly, but the service was quick. The floors inside felt slimy/greasy and the restrooms weren't very clean. As far as the food, those that had burgers said they were really good! The buns were soft like a Hawaiian roll and the beef had a good flavor. The teriyaki bowl was ok. It was a small portion size and the flavor was just "ok". Definitely had the fast food Asian feel to it. All in all, we would go back for burgers, but I probably wouldn't get the teriyaki chicken bowl again! read more

Just because the world is in a pandemic doesn't mean fast food quality should plummet! I mean, come on JACK IN THE BOX... what's up?! Ordered 4 tacos and an order of curly fries and they were both terrible! The tacos were so greasy, the lettuce was wilted and they tasted like they were fried twice and sat for an hour. The curly fries were barely OK. It was like they accession the bottom of the bin and I got more bits and pieces than actual curly fries. Just very disappointing. Drive thru did go fairly quick. Jack in the Box is a decent fast food restaurant. They offer a lot of lunch/dinner items along with breakfast. The restaurant in O'Fallon, IL is very clean which is a huge plus! The staff do their best to get your order correct and they serve you with a smile! Another big plus about Jack in the Box is the Freestyle Coke company choices! I love this! The kids love their chicken nuggets and I enjoy the Ultimate Cheeseburger. It is so tasty. The Ultimate Cheeseburger is probably the great fast food burger. It's the one burger that when it's served to you, it looks just like the picture on the menu. read more

After attempting to patronize this as well as other locations in the St Louis Bistate region, I have found all of them to be closed at all hours of the day/night. Placed an app order around 11:00 am today and I wasn't far from the restaurant. On arrival there was no one in line and the dining room was closed. I let the employee know that I placed an app order she said pull up and I literally waited almost 20 minutes for my food in the drive-through lane. When I did get my food my curly fries were cold and our chicken sandwiches were missing lettuce, pickles and the good good sauce. These items should have been on them. The restaurant in general looked really run down. This location needs to get it together. I've never had a burger from here so not sure if I ever will. Good luck JITB. read more

!!SERIOUS HEALTH CONCERN!! Our experience was disgusting. The employee was rude to us through the speaker. He actually slammed the window in our face and then proceeded to stare at us with a look you would see from someone about to fight you. He thrust our food out the window towards us and didn't say anything until he noticed that a male was now staring back at him. He had an open cut on his left hand that was bleeding all over the counter as he handed us our food. I went in to talk to the manager and the first employee looked at me and shook his head no. Finally he called for the manager and naturally it was the man with an open cut bleeding everywhere, who had handed us our food that my children were supposed to eat. When this man heard that someone was asking for a manager, he came and asserted himself aggressively leaning over the counter. He still had the open cut and was bleeding on the front counter now! I pointed it out and his reply was "this just happened". Please do NOT go here if you value you and your families health and safety. Not only is there risk of serious medical illness coming from this place but this man also gives off the impression he would be willing to physically fight you. read more

I stopped in to grab egg rolls for a quick snack. I pulled up to the drive thru and order. I arrived at the window and the girl working couldn't be bothered with me because she was ON HER PHONE! When she finally realizes that she's at work she took my money with out a word. Handed my change and then food without ever saying a thing to me. Egg rolls were luke warm. If you're looking for late night food, look elsewhere. Jack in The Box is my favorite fast food chain but this location is the absolute worst one I have ever, ever been to. My boyfriend works nights and seven times now he has gone to their drive through after work to be turned away due to "servers being down." Almost every order I've ever received from them has been wrong. I've ordered a burger and gotten a chicken sandwich. I doordashed the chicken strip meal and recieved the drink and fries but no chicken strips. This place is ridiculous, they act like they simply don't want to be here. The food was pretty good. I didn't care for the dried out over cooked fries. The staff was friendly and they provided suggestions on places to visit while in town. The woman working the window was incredible rude and took 3 tries to get my soda right, which she never got right. She forgot items and was rude when asked to get what I paid for.
