There are supposed to be 4, sometimes at other Jack in the boxes I'll get what I call is a bonus of 4 strips and a small one, or if one is small I'll get 2 small strips to make up the 4. Well, I just have to say that our experience at jack in the Box today was the best we have had in the entire year we have lived in Amador County. Usually Jack in the Box has a little slower Pace when it comes to the drive-through because they do make everything fresh, which we definitely appreciate, however, we got extremely fresh food tonight and I was so impressed with how fast the service was. There was a young woman working the drive-thru. She was excellent! She was so efficient and accurate, I was extremely pleased. I went to the martell location one month ago. the man at the front counter asked the couple in front of me if either one of them I was a veteran. they said no. on my turn he did not ask me if I was a veteran. I am female. I asked him why he did not ask me the same question. he said you don't look like a veteran. I asked what does a female veteran look like because I was just curious. he said he didn't know but I didn't look like one. I asked and spoke to the shift manager,lisa, she said he had been told not to ask people if they want veteran or senior discounts and he keeps doing it. I was referred to the district manager. she said she would take him off the schedule. today I decided to go there again to give them a second chance. the same man at 105pm was working the counter. he took my order. then my order was called. I asked if I could have dipping sauce. he appeared unhappy that I asked. he asked what kind d you want. I said I don't know what kinds do you have. he began gesturing and counted in what I consider an angry fashion with one hand open and the other hand touching each digit counting and naming the sauces. then he rudely said which one do you want. he put his hands on the counter and leaned forward towards me. I told him what I wanted. he got it and put it in my bag. then he started fussing that I didn't know which one I wanted. I told him to give me my bag and that I didn't want to know about his issues and left. the shift manager was nearby, heard it and did not intervene. I obviously well never go there again. read more

I get that this place Is just a fast food joint but really can you guys get your stuff together. Really you are the only thing open late during weekdays, so when someone like me who works late hours has to suck it up and get some fast food that can sometimes pass as edible is closed for unforeseen computer maintenance issues, it really makes me wonder? Is the management really so clueless as to mess with I'm sure some of the busiest hours this place sees? Or maybe just too lazy to actually provide the simple task of cooking frozen food? This Jack n Box was good at first when it reopened. Since then, the food has gone downhill. Ordered my last meal there today. I ordered specifically a Sourdough Jack Combo and the gal over the mic kept saying "Blazin???" I said no a regular Sourdough Jack (twice). Then I ordered a homestyle chicken meal with no lettuce for the hubby. We received a Spicy chicken meal and old fries, soggy Sourdough Jack and half cooked/heated onion rings. The only thing good was the Root Beer. So my hubby went back to get his sandwhich corrected and the manager on shift, Joanne said that I was a liar and did not order the homestyle chicken. However, while I was waiting...she reiterated to the "cooks" that she was waiting on a homestyle. Joanne further said how does she know this returned chicken isnt from another day. ok really? When asked..."do you really think I'd hold a chicken sandwhich for days then bring it back?" Joanne's response "Yes I think you would and if you don't like it, you dont have to eat here". Upon asking for the owner or regional manager, she told us to use google and she wont be telling us anything. Further we are the only ones in the county who must have ever complained according to Joanne. Everyone else LOVES it there. Thank goodness Carls Jr is opening up right across the parking lot. Quite frankly, I dont eat much fast food but I guarantee that when I do, I will be eating at Carls Jr NOT Jack. And since I'm a business owner in the county and work very close by. Having worked in fast food, i am usually patient, and I always give fast food employees the benefit of the doubt. However, I came into this resturant when there was no one in the drive thru, and no one inside, and it still took 15 minutes to get my order, with everything cold. Additionally, the store itself was very messy, with most of the supplies at the soda fountain out. Wife went thru drive thru and ordered Home Style Chicken Club meal large and a Sourdough Jack meal large. She was asked if she wanted the chicken Blazin several times and told the ga no several times. When we got home the chicken was so spicy I couldn't eat it once again it was wrong and the fries where cold and my wife's sourdough jack was wrong as well. I stopped in, yesterday, after finishing grocery shopping, to get a chicken teriyaki bowl. I ended up getting the dinner, and have to say that It was be best egg roll I've ever tasted. However, I was a little surprised with the sparse amount of chicken on top of the rice. The two previous ones, I'd had, were loaded with slices of tasty chicken.
