This Niu Valley location had sticky floors and a musty smell. Also they don't chase out the homeless. Had a guy that lingered inside because he wanted to use the bathroom. They eventually chased him out, but he was sitting near us while we ate. And no, he didn't buy anything, so they could have kicked him out, but they didn't. I go there regularly and the food is good, but service is not good. I ordered a southwest salad with grilled chicken. Came home and no chicken. They said to come the next day and they gave me the grilled chicken. Then when I ordered cheeseburger and chicken wrap I waited over 30 minutes and they gave me 2 junior hamburgers. I brought back the food after going to my car and seeing the order was wrong. They kept the hamburgers in the rotation and took another 10 minutes to make my order correct. Located in Nui Valley shopping center off Kalanianaole Hwy, the parking lot was pretty full Sunday when we went, they had service at Grace Chapel and other restaurants were pretty busy. Just decided to grab something light, so I ordered their new Monster Special it was 2 Monster Tacos for $3.50 or some other items for $3.50 each. I ordered their new Monster Tacos and when it came it was cold and soggy really messy to eat and the taco shell wasn't firm or crispy, just soggy and mushy! I should have just ordered their new Monster regular tacos 2 for $1.50 or with the app 2 for $1.00 and at least it would have been crispy maybe, never been to this Jack in the box before. My wife just ordered a cheese burger, she didn't say much about her meal, The restaurant was clean and there was another customer that walked in and asked for the restroom key and he was told he had to order something first before he would open the restroom? I went through the drive thru 3 times since I had coupons to use and the baby was sleeping. The only thing I can think of that would've made the order so slow was that they were understaffed. The line at the drive thru was very short and the inside didn't look too busy. Each time I got only one sandwich and other than 1 time it was a long wait at the last window. I'm glad the baby was asleep and didn't mind the wait! My parents really enjoyed the chicken club and the ultimate cheeseburger. My boyfriend and I recently picked up a mobile order this evening at Niu Valley Jack in the Box and had a really disappointing experience. While in the drive-thru, he asked to add extra jalapeños to his burger to add on his mobile order. The employee told him he would need to remind her about it when he got to the window. When we arrived, we realized we had been given the wrong order. After refunding him, she blamed him for not reminding her about the jalapeños, even though she was the one who asked him to do that. Once an employee agrees to add something to an order, it shouldn't be the customer's job to manage or remind them about it. My boyfriend remained polite the entire time and didn't argue or blame anyone. What made the situation worse was that the employee and another worker in the kitchen were laughing and making jokes during the interaction, which looked very unprofessional. When we finally received the food, there were no napkins or a straw, and the tacos and burger were hard and cold. Shortly after eating, my boyfriend started experiencing stomach issues. The lack of professionalism also raised safety concerns about how the food is being handled. We've already reached out through the company website, but this isn't the first time we've experienced unprofessional behavior from employees. Pauline Marie works the take out window in the morning and has absolutely no customer service. I've had her the last two times and both times and she has been very rude , she try's to rush the order even though it's not busy. There was no one in front or in back of me. While you're ordering she says "Any thing else? Any thing else? with attitude. Both times because shes in rush she gets the order wrong! I have to correct her and she gets upset. At the window she makes you wait a while before opening it for payment and hands you your order with the most disgusted look. I came home and was telling my husband about my experience and he said "I know exactly who you're talking about, she has a sleeve tattoo! " Yup! That's the one. So I guess she's rude to everyone! Horrible service!! many times over and over again they mess up on my uber eats pick up orders!! and they always take so long no matter the time u go. SERVICE!!! THE WORST!! I placed an order today via their mobile app/website. I work from home so wanted lunch and dinner delivered. I received my order via Door Dash and my (2) Bacon Smash Burgers were missing. The lovely DD Driver was communicating with me via text so I asked if she delivered everything? Convenient Jack in the Box for the days you really don't want cook! Ha! This is one of the better locations and I've usually had a positive experience at this one. Local Aunties working are always so nice and friendly compared to other places! My go to is crispy chicken ranch club sandwich with curly fries. Comes out crispy every time, veggies are fresh, and brioche bun is shiny. I don't have super high expectations since I'm going to a fast food establishment, but this location goes above and beyond with customer service/quality. I've had an issue with this location in the past and the only reason why I'm even entertaining the idea of 3-stars is because occasionally when we do dine-in the staff had been really sweet. Now, when we discuss the portion sizes? I go to Jack in the Box (JITB) quite often. I commute a lot, work graveyard and it's just convenient. The stores on the west side always get it right (whether it's company standard or not). Salad: I ordered the SW fried chicken salad. Chicken was perfect, but the greens were barely full and wilting. The ratio between cheese and salad was disproportional. I order this quite often and only this store has this issue. More specifically I frequent the Waipio, Kunia, Pearl City, Kapolei, Kapahulu, S. king st (both) and ward ave locations and all have the same full FRESH greens. SPAM: every store usually puts 3 spam pieces and when we order the "extra" it usually comes out to 4-5 in total. EVERY SINGLE STORE I mentioned above. RICE: two scoops seems to be the normal, this store does not measure. It's barely full. SAUCES: The app doesn't charge, you order at the window and they charge $0.24 each sauce. OK cool. No one else charges unless you are getting an absurd amount. ICE COFFEES: Either it's TOO MUCH flavor syrup or not enough. Same goes for the ice. either they are jam packing the thing or it's barely a sprinkle. WRAPS: Do not get the grill chicken, idk if that's cat food or what but it's barely anything. I understand portion sizes but get real. I generally order the regular size salad or a side salad to stuff the wrap to compensate for the lack of actual chicken or fish in the chicken/fish wrap. Crazy. FOOD TEMPS: Hit and miss, you'd expect the bare minimum for hot foods to be hot and cold foods to be cold. And even then, it must be asking a lot. Food waste and accidents happen. Please do not serve anyone food that's been sitting under the warmer for more than the recommended time. It's "dead", and by the time we get it - it's COLD and gross. Let's move on to refunds. If you order at the wrong store, just chalk it up to a loss. I get being charged a small fee for making the mistake ok cool. This situation was my fault, I was in PC and didn't change the location, they told me SORRY YOU HAVE TO COME TO HAWAII KAI FOR A REFUND. LITERALLY WHAT!?! They gave me the district managers number in which he answered and then hung up when I identified myself as a customer then blocked my number. Left vmail after vmail and no call back. This situation took days to resolve. And alas, PC location was the one to refund me. District Manager should honestly be demoted. Collecting a paycheck for not doing his job. And no I will not be contacting customer relations because at the end of the day you folks aren't doing anything about it. Get real the public is not stupid. The smell of greasy fried food and stale air greets you on entry. The staff are helpful if a bit overworked. I felt the restaurant could use a good airing out and cleaning. We showed up with a bunch of coupons and an appetite. But..seriously...the restaurant interior did not feel clean so we ordered but didn't really eat much. The curly fries, sourdough jack, mini tacos, chicken bites, and cheeseburger came out quickly. However, the tacos and burgers were lathered and drenched in sauce which really tasted kind of gross. This is one of the best fast food options in the area. Their app makes it easy to preorder and pay before arriving and you can pick up everything at the drive thru. Their app also has special online deals. Jack in the box has a wide variety of options and this location in particular is the most consistent and has never gotten my order wrong. They also give a good amount of sauces and napkins. My favorite things to order include: jalapeño poppers, egg rolls, breakfast sandwiches, Portuguese sauce and fried rice. read more
