I know all chain fast food is supposed to be the same but this Jack in the Box is different. The food seemed fresher than most and a bit less greasy. We had a coupon for a free burger when you buy one and after we finished ordering she gave us more coupons to use on future visits. That really gave the message that she was glad we came and wanted us back. I wish I had caught her name but the entire transaction was very pleasant and we had some interaction with 2 other employees during the visit and they were also very pleasant. When the food arrived, it was just as we had ordered it and very good as fast food goes. The place was very clean and decorated nicely too. If you are on that side of Eugene and in a rush, I recommend this Jack in the Box. read more

Way better then the one across from Walmart and Target on West 11th/Commerce street. They have never messed up an order, the food for us has always been hot and the one time they were out of shakes (which we never really order anyway) they gave us extra fries for the inconvenience. Choose this Jack in the Box if you must go to one, not the other dirty one I mentioned earlier. I assume the same people own both so I have no idea why one is trash and the other one is not. They advertised flavored Dr Pepper everywhere, but the lobby freestyle machine had no Dr Pepper, and barely any flavors. It took over 5 minutes to be acknowledged at the counter to ask for drive-thru soda. They got two things wrong, and each time I went to the counter to correct my order, I had to call repeatedly to get attention. Also, the women's bathroom had no toilet paper. I special order everything when I get fast food. Well done, no pickles, extra etc... and they get it right every single time. It's really something I can't praise enough. The lobby is always clean, which is nice when you just want to sit down and eat without having to look around for the least nasty table. The bathroom is usually well kept, although at some point the stall door was missing. After mishaps at other JitB's in town, this is pretty much the only one I bother with any more. Former JiB employee here, maintenance/fryers. I've been here a handful of times in the past month, and every time I've noticed some glaring issue, whether it's service- or cleanliness-based. Had to order my own cup full of taco lettuce the first time, as I barely got any put in my tacos by the frycook. The cashier forgot my fries the next time I came in. Every time I've gone inside to eat, the tables, chairs, and floors looked like nobody had bothered to clean them at all that day. I went in around 10am both times, just inbetween the tail-end of breakfast and when "lunch" officially starts, so there should have been somebody out there to at least bus tables before the lunch rush hit. Almost every time I've been here, whether it was drive-through, dine-in, or to go, the fries are the worst part. It always tastes like they pull them from the fryers 15-30 seconds before their timer is up, a loathed cheat to get them out in time to keep serving times/drive-through times low. Majority of the times I've been through the drive-through, service was lackluster, terse, and stiff as well - I did not feel very welcome to return. I'm not fond of criticizing, but when performance is this poor on a consistent basis, my regular qualms go out the window. The front counter staff are usually nice, and I can tell they at least serve fresh tacos and chicken patties and not ones that have been staged for the past half-hour - so there's that, at least. Bottom line, it's best to go inside and ask for a to-go order, and make sure you check your bag to see if you got everything. If you need to use the drive-through, also check your bag before you go, and be sure in any scenario to ask for fully-cooked fries. And double-check your tacos. read more

Pulled up with one person in front of us and had to wait for 20 minutes to get food. They had their sprinkler system on and we were in a comfortable getting soaking wet the whole time. They gave us the wrong type of soda and forgot one of our fries and then when we told them they gave us another fry that was a smaller size. Totally confused staff, manager yelling at the kitchen help. Counter girl couldn't answer any questions about the food. When some one complained about the service she told him "it's fast food". A lousy breakfast sandwich, small and greasy with the thinnest bacon strips imaginable. Sign in the dining room states that you must leave after thirty minutes. Really deserves 0 stars. read more

I also was not given a straw, not asked if I wanted any sauce for my chicken nuggets, not greeted or thanked at the drive through window, and to top it all off the lid on my soda wasn't on correctly so it spilled all over my shirt and pants. What a wreck. The first time we came here I changed my drink at the window (which is annoying I get it) and the girl literally sighed, rolled her eyes and said "I guess". Tonight the second time we went there the girl didnt know how to add my patty which made me nervous but I continued. I was very rushed when she took my order and at the window she was all over the place. The manager was leaning against the counter, not lifting a finger and on her phone. Poorly poorly ran. We waited for what seemed like ever to even pay, and had to ask for a receipt then, tell her my order and wait even longer for her to even find it... Oh, and to top it off my whole order was wrong. Cheeses, no bacon on my bacon cheese wedges, my burger was cold and missed our fries and put ice in both drinks. Like come on. We went back and again the manager was on her phone and the remake WAS WRONG! how hard is it to make a single into a double and get bacon on my bacon wedges. Never going to this location again. Went to the Jack in the box on commerce St. yesterday. My wife ordered a salad, I ordered a cheeseburger. Her salad came with RANCID salad dressing, and was uneatable!!! She tried to return it for another and was told that they wouldn't replace it, but she could buy another for HALF PRICE!!. The salad was priced at $6.89 half price would be$3.45 that means she would have to pay $10.35 for a $689 salad!! STAY AWAY!! P.S. she had to clean the dirty table!! My cheeseburger was so so. During the day, this is a great Location. At night, there is a guy that works the window that is terrible. He is rude and very slow. I don't recommend coming here after 9. That's when I've seen him. You can tell he goes slow on purpose. A couple times I've watched him just chit chat with other coworkers even when my food was done. Then I got home with the wrong stuff and I had to remind him to give me my drink. Horrible worker. I hope he gets fired. Tonight was even worse. I'll have to talk to the manager next time. read more

I've visited several times and always wanted to get some retraining for the Latin Manager who tries too hard to sell one stuff and then gets mad when one doesn't order the food he's trying to sell. Food is cold and special orders are not usually taken ot heart. I just visited the new JIB in Cottage Grove on day 2 with all the owners and new managers standing around and still got a cold-luke warm chicken sandwich. Work on getting hot food in to customers hands!!!!! He didn't know I was watching until after he had made a complete idiot of himself, making him very awkward towards the end of the transaction.
