Cooper did the plumbing on our new construction in 21 and 22. The workers were very nice. When we…read morestarted the project Vera Cooper the owner promised us the world. After occupancy we had two drains that leaked, I fixed those, a mixing valve that needed repairs because the beauty ring kept falling out, I fixed that and an outdoor faucet pipe sticking 4 inches past the brick I fixed that, there was supposed to be a lower faucet on the outdoor shower and shut offs they skipped those. Go ahead 4 years later I have a leaking faucet and just need the manufacturer name and model. They say they have no record of every doing the job but would be happy selling me new fixtures. Wtf. This is not the company Vera told us it was. Just a bunch of lies. They got paid, I guess that is where the customer service ends.

(Several of the condos in our…read morecollection of buildings are in need of replacements...so this was a "must do - no brainer" for us....to avoid horror stories.) Neighbors recommended Elliott Plumbing since they had used them before. So, one quick call to Elliott's home office and we were able to easily set up an appointment that suited our schedule. Workers arrived on time and originally thought "not more than an hour." (Entire building "stack" needed to be shut off so they weren't sure how quickly that could happen. But their interaction with our building maintenance crew proved amicable and efficient.) Bottom line: the job was completed in less than 25 minutes...well under/within their original estimate. And the price was in the mid-lower end of the local estimates. Highly recommend Elliott Plumbing.

This is an update to my previous review. I did not get a final bill on the day that they finished…read morebut the owner (Mark) said he would calculate the bill and would be fair on the price. What was expected to be a fairly straight forward clog took much more time than planned. They finished late Thursday and the bill came electronically on Friday. I had calculated what to expect given they had 2 plumbers the entire time, 1 plumber for part of the time and the owner for about 2 hours. The bill was about half of what I calculated. They suggested getting hydroscout (this is a high tech service equivalent to a colonoscopy in my field where they use a camera in the sewer pipe and can create a map of the sewer layout) to come out before the remodel so they can redesign the master bathroom sewer pipes (I already have them scheduled). Mark suggested placing a proper 2 way clean out. My wife prefers that I take him up on it so I can move on to other projects. By Monday, Jade had already called to set up the time to place it. Three of them had to come in and out of the house many times but they did not track in dirt or make a mess. Despite the frustration with troubleshooting the previous DIY work, the heat and multiple dead ends trying to clear the blockage, they were always friendly and positive. I really have no suggestions on how they can improve- they have mastered their business.

Find a higher quality plumbing company. They installed galvanized metal on my new hot water heater…read more3 years ago. The pipe corroded in 3 years and started to leak on the top on the unit. I called for them to replace it and they did in 15 min. The installer said that the metal should have been brass instead of galvanized because it easily rusts. After changing the pipe, he said it costs $190. It took him literally 15 min to change a mistake they made 3 years ago...for $190. Insane. I gave it 2 stars because the lady I called there was very nice. They declined the refund because it was out of their "labor warranty". Their excuse was galvanized passes code. So in the end, they will use the cheaper material to pass code, charge you an arm and a leg when it most certainly will break and not take any responsibility. They do it the cheap way, not the right way.

Rusty Jones came to the house and did a thorough inspection of the inside unit, the condenser, and ductwork/insulation in the attic. Rusty was very professional and extremely knowledgeable in answering all our questions and giving us suggestions. I was very thankful that he gave us such honest feedback and didn't try to sell my mother a new air duct system or tell us that we needed to replace the insulation. My mother rarely has an HVAC tech, plumber, or electrician leave her home without suggesting that she needs to have something repaired or replaced. Rusty was very friendly and down to earth. He is an expert in HVAC and I have full confidence in that what he shared with me and my mother is accurate. Thank you Rusty/Advantage!

Long review - While everyone we encountered is very nice I have to give one star. Anyone can make…read morea mistake but when you are paying over $20,000 for a service there are certain expectations. First the job was $2500 more than initially quoted. I don't mind paying for a service, I expect to, but I am not an electrical expert so when I ask someone for a quote I think it's reasonable that they, being the experts, can tell me what needs to be done, apparently in the quote process some things were missed, I expressed my displeasure, moving on. Then, after the job was "completed" we had small things not done, again mistakes can be made no big deal, it was over the July 4th weekend, but even then just a response of we got your info we will address it, but we were told that they have other jobs going and basically they will get to it and it was not until we received a text requesting a review and a low review was given that we got a response. Small things finally fixed. HOWEVER, apparently the saga continues in that we were double charged to the tune of $21,200 so yes $42,400 (more than I paid for my 2017 Suburban). Again, mistakes happen but since we've tried to contact Advantage and received no response my hope is they will see this review and call. They are pleasant people and I hate giving a bad review but it seems to be the only way to get their attention.
