When I went on The Laundry Spot's website I saw that they offered this service so figured I'd give them a try. I had a few questions so I called the number listed on the home page of the website, and the woman who answered referred me to another number for the pick up and delivery service which turned out is also listed if you click on the "delivery" link. I got an answering service and left my contact info and within minutes, James the owner called back and answered my questions and walked me through the process of setting up an account so that I could do the online scheduling myself. There were 3 convenient windows of times to select from for both pick up and delivery so I scheduled pick up between 8am-11am on Tuesday and delivery during that same timeframe the next day. I got a text a minute or so prior to them arriving both times and they were both within the scheduled timeframes. Since the home was unoccupied those days, I was able to text them the temporary door code I set up remotely and allow them to pick up and drop off inside in the entry way. The laundry consisted of two full sets of bedding, several towels dish towels, etc. All came back perfectly clean and nicely folded. Online I was able to select the type of soap (or even provide my own if desired), optional softeners, and add any specific instructions such as cold water, gentle cycle etc. I am so thrilled to have found this service! Since I'm a big fan of USEFUL technology, I'm very happy that I can do all of the scheduling from my smart phone, including paying the invoice. I was initially apprehensive about providing my credit card info and wanted to be sure the info was encrypted and secure. The owner, James, patiently explained to me that he's partnered with a few different technology platforms in order to make it possible to do all of this online, so it's all very secure and tested. One thing to note: because of the way the various platforms are linked, you see different URLs when you schedule versus looking at your account versus payment, but after it's set up it's a piece of cake. And best of all, the laundry comes back beautifully clean and nicely folded without me having to do a thing (I have back problems) so this is a wonderful solution for me. And the pricing is incredibly reasonable. I highly recommend trying this laundry service and supporting a great local Austin business!

I should have known when I first arrived and the plane was chaotic. I was interrogated about my clothes, cotton only for laundering, and it took almost 20 minutes y.o drop off 4 shirts and three pants. But really, the flags should have gone up when i was asked to pay in advanced. No cleaner have ever asked for that, so i asked why. I was told that some customers refused to pay off they didn't like how their cleaning turned out. Well, now I understand why. When i picked up my clothes, all four shirts were jammed into the same bag and tied together with a twist tie... completely wrinkled. They looked worse that they did when i dropped them off. All had to be reironed when i got home. Same for the pants. I guess saving 1/4 of a penny on plastic bag helps Rick's outfit margins. Well, I guess you get what you pay for. Low cost = low quality. I'm not likely to use Rick's again.

With a huge king blanket, sheets, lots of clothes and towels each week it takes about 2 to 2.5 hours there of washing, drying and folding as opposed to....,probably 8 to 9 hours of being stuck at home over the weekend waiting on the one washer and dryer to finish. Not only that, but most of the time we're in a drought situation and with a well, we have to be more conservative with water use. It has now been over two years that I've been going there. Depending on which day I'm there I can always count on seeing the same really sweet and helpful people. It's easy to go in, load the card given to you with $ and start washing. Love the oversized washers and dryers available too.

Lucretia (I hope I'm spelling her name right), told me that she noticed when I originally dropped off, after I left, that there was an article of clothing on the floor. She guessed rightly that it was mine and had it cleaned along with the other 3 items. Thinking about what would have happened if she hadn't had the presence of mind and such a great customer service attitude, I'm very thankful for her actions and impressed as well. I would recommend this location to anyone and everyone and not just because of this signature event but because I have gone here for a long time and I believe that almost all of the other workers at this location, both past and present, would have shown a similar level of customer service.

It is a bit expensive to do leather jacket cleaning, but for the experience and process, I would say it was totally worth it. They texted me to let me know when they would arrive to pick up and to drop off. They gave me a clear time approximation and even beat it (they estimated 6-8 weeks but I believe it only took about 2-3?). My jackets came back wrapped really nicely, and the delivery driver took proper care to deliver at my door. In fact, I wasn't home and she asked how I would like my jackets to be dropped off. The thoughtfulness and consideration Ian's provides can't be beat. I also appreciate that they have an app so you can easily plan your pick-ups and drop-offs. If I have any articles of clothing that will need dry cleaning in the future, Ian's will be top of mind.

I spoke to the manager today (Kevin) and he was incredibly rude and implied that I am lying about the shorts being Ralph Lauren and that he's not paying me for the shorts. Finally they offered a cash reimbursement. That was almost 3 weeks ago. The cash was supposed to hit my account 10 days after the interaction. I contacted customer support today, the reimbursement hasn't even been processed. They now swear it's officially in the works and their leadership team is in the loop. I should get reimbursed in the next few days. At this point I've accepted they have just ruined several of my favorite shirts and it's now my problem. Do not use them, however convenient it is.
