Went in yesterday with my husband and kids. We had never tried axe throwing before so this was new for us. The owner explained everything and even stayed to teach us how to throw correctly. We played a few fun games of axe throwing, and moved onto Jack'd Up Games, and we had a blast in there. Checked the box for experiences but not looking to return. Facility is understaffed - same guy was attendant, bartender and cashier. He was out there too - been there too long maybe. After about 10 minutes we were only customers in facility for most of the hour. Restrooms leave something to be desired. Parking was ample. Did try using a "Yelp" free beverage coupon for checking-in online via the app and the guy was dumbfounded. Said he had never seen such a coupon previously. Hmmm??? It could be more of an experience in a larger group setting but wasn't impressed and were quickly bored. read more

It's BYOB so bring your favorite brew and get ready for some fun. Steve showed us the basics and then let us throw. It's was a fun filled hour of challenging each other and playing some games. My husband and I took our 19 y/o and 12 y/o daughters to Jack Axe Throwing early in the afternoon. We really had no idea what to expect but what we got was a great time. The instructors helped us learn how to throw the axes and were able to identify problems. After we were getting consistent with throwing the axes, Scott brought us some throwing knives and stars. It was amazing how quickly our daughters were able to thrown the stars consistently and with accuracy. We had such a lot of fun. read more

Took our two sons to throw. It is pricey (around $25 per person per hour) but a nice change from mini golf or bowling. You get an hour which was long enough for them (ages 14 and 11) because they seemed bored towards the end. We visit SC once a year and this was our first time there. They do have a little bar for adults. $6.50 for a draft of beer. read more

First time throwing an axe. Was shown what I needed to do and what worked for them. After a few minutes of trying and failing I started to get the hang of it. By the time I left I could stick an axe with both hand. Stick with either left or right hand. It was a great time by myself and if you're a party it's set up for friendly competition. Thomas taught us how to throw; his pointers made me competent to get several bulls eyes; which is always rewarding; when you are taught well; and are able to be successful. So much fun! Went axe throwing on a rainy day at the beach. Had a great time axe throwing. Would highly recommend. Suggest making reservations.

Awesome fun and not as shady as you think axe throwing would be. It took me a while but I because pretty good at axe throwing and then I tried throwing stars and they were easy and satisfying to throw. We also got to throw metal playing cards and it was fun and challenging. You can make it shady and fun if you want because you can bring your own beer. You do have to sign a waiver to play obviously and it's expensive $27 an hour. It was fun and worth it though. Scott was very helpful and friendly and even took our chellenges. Sammy the chiuhauha was also super friendly, the nicest. Chiuhauha I have ever met. She had her nail painted! So cute! I had a great time and I'm usually hard to please. Also I wore Crocks and you can wear flip flops or sandles so basically any shoe you want, but closed toe shoes are reccomended, also remember the waiver. read more
