After showing up to a different course to find out it was closed, I gave Spyglass a call and headed over. We checked in ($12 per person), grabbed our clubs and our ball and headed to hole #1. When we arrived (around 11:00am) there was only one other group on the course, but within 15 minutes there were a few other groups behind us. The holes were easy to moderate and I think it's a fun course for players of all ages, as long as you don't take yourself to seriously. It's meant to be fun after all, not a professional game of golf. I will note there were a decent amount of steps, so if that's some that that if difficult for anyone in your party, this may not be the best place for you. But if you can handle the steps, it's definitely worth the trip, because there are some pretty cool effects and holes.

We always love coming to spy glass. It is a great course that is kept up well. We have no complaints and enjoy it. There is only 1 course with a pirate theme.

Great course. Out of the 5 courses I played in Myrtle Beach, this is by far the best designed and most fun to play. Even has roughs on the course. 10/10 recommend. They also include tax in their prices. So the price you see is what you pay! Make sure you play this course when you come to the beach!

My wife went here in the evening and had a pleasant time. The course was reasonably priced and played well. I would recommend this for couples or families.

(There are two Yelp pages for this course. This page is claimed, the other page is not. I'm reposting my review from 2016 on the unclaimed page to this one.) My parents and I played this course on an early Friday morning. We were the only people on the course for about 5 holes and then a couple of groups came to play after us. The weather was nice but it got hotter the longer we played. We hadn't played the course in a couple of years. The course is well maintained. I do want to note that there are a lot of steps. If there is someone in your party who has trouble with steps, especially steep ones, this probably isn't the course for you. The wooden steps are taller than normal, and some of the handrails need tightening because they're loose and shaky. The steps going into the cave were the worst. They are very long, wide, and steep in random places. There are no handrails to hold on to, so you're pretty much grasping at the sides of the cave to steady yourself. Also, it can get very hot and muggy and steamy in the cave, which makes it easy to slip. Once you got inside, there were a plethora of holes and divots in the concrete. You really have to watch your step so you don't twist an ankle. There were several places where heavy duty non-slip mats were put down (especially when you're walking behind the waterfall) which I appreciated. There's a cute little gift shop inside the building where you pay. The woman behind the counter (I assume the owner?) was very polite and cheerful. Don't forget to ask about the secret hole-in-one hole!

Coming from one of the absolute worst mini golf players ever, I found this course to be both challenging yet still easy enough to not get overly frustrated. Every hole was intended to be a par 2 however as others have pointed out, they each pose a challenge and aren't just straight shots. While reading other yelper's reviews I was surprised to find out that this place has been open for over 20 years! I couldn't believe it because the course was so well kept that it looked brand new and the special effects were impressive. This place is great for families and non-pro style mini golf players (my BF didn't think it was very challenging). One thing to keep in mind is that there are a lot of steps which does not make it friendly to those with limited mobility

Super nice course! A tad bit pricey but the quality is definitely worth it. All the holes were clean and well maintained and they had a ton of cool props and decorations set up! Also they have "canons" that go off periodically! Super cool effects. We will definitely be back to play another round!

I love mini gulf and this was a fun course. The obstacles were a fun challenge, the grounds were beautiful, clean and well manicured. There were sounds of cannon balls being fired and splashdowns in the water, the sounds of pirates in the air, overall we had lots of fun. The staff was also incredibly sweet.

My best friend, our wives, and I had a great time playing at Spyglass! There were plenty of laughs as we played this excellent and challenging course. We look forward to seeing y'all again next time we are in Myrtle Beach!

Beautiful course and exceptionally well maintained.

Really a 4.5 Star Review. Most holes were above average but some seemed a little repetitive.

Great movie sound effects of cannons. Their cavern had 2 holes. It was a clean well kept place with friendly service. Highly recommend!

There's a walkway that goes right behind the waterfall inside the cave, on a downhill, that gets soaked!!

My boyfriend and I have started a yearly tradition of visiting Myrtle Beach from North Carolina,…read moreand every year we make it a point to find something new to experience together. This year, we stumbled across Ripley's Crazy Golf -- and we were completely blown away. We have played mini golf in many places, and most courses tend to feel very similar. This was the exact opposite. The creativity and originality of each hole made the entire experience feel fresh and exciting from start to finish. The vibrant colors, unique themes, and imaginative design made every course feel like its own adventure. Some of our favorite holes were the unforgettable toilet bowl and the chess themed course -- both incredibly clever and so much fun to play. You can truly see the thought and creativity that went into every detail. If you are looking for something different than the typical mini golf experience, this is absolutely worth adding to your Myrtle Beach plans. It was fun, memorable, and unlike any other course we have played. We will definitely be coming back on future trips.

Pure fun!!! I…read moredon't want to spoil anything but my family and I wrapped up a round here today and all left with huge smiles on our faces! The course is all indoors and consists of multiple levels. The holes are unique and fun! There is a bar area on the 2nd floor which has snacks, drinks and some alcoholic beverages. You are allowed to bring in any non-alcoholic drinks too if you prefer. The staff were pleasant and it was a comfortable atmosphere. Maybe add some fans here and there but aside from that we were all happy golfers! While you might pay a little more for this course it's worth it.
