I don't even know where to begin... 1) I was with a large party of ~18 people and we were doing the Valentine's Day prefix menu (79$ pp) so I can understand if servers mess up orders or food takes long but they messed up not once but twice. So imagine everyone had to go down the line and say their orders twice 2) There were two loud speakers playing music right by us, the music was so loud it was vibrating the floor and hurting our ears. We asked to turn it down 3 times and were ignored and had to suffer through it. 3) the servers were pouring bottled water like their life depended on it and afterwards I knew why because we ended up paying over 100$ of bottled water. They did not ask us if we wanted more bottles but just kept filling our water nonstop 4) the food took sooo long to come out, we were there for 4 hours from first order to dessert. Everything was very small portions and average at best. It was also soo salty at times I couldn't taste anything besides salt on my tongue. So disappointing for how long the wait was and definitely not worth 79$ id rather have gone to McDonald's. This place did not care about its customers and food was mediocre, I would never come back and you should save your money. read more

We ended up at Jacinta in La Placita because it had good reviews and an available reservation. At first it seemed like a great choice. The space is beautiful with chic interiors, trendy lighting, and a calmer atmosphere than most of the other spots around the plaza. I really wanted to like it. Unfortunately, everything went downhill from there. The cocktail I ordered was extremely bitter and not enjoyable, but the real problem was the food. My cod came out rancid and my cousin's lamb was spoiled too. I asked the waitress to take a look and she immediately recoiled, admitted it was bad, and took it away. What upset me even more was that when I asked why it had been served at all, the explanation was that it "wasn't fully rancid, it had just started to ferment." That is no different and absolutely a food safety hazard. I ended up so sick that I vomited in the restaurant trying to get it out of my stomach, and everyone at the table has had horrendous food poisoning since. Two out of four dishes being rotten is unacceptable at any restaurant, let alone one presenting itself as high-end. The setting may be stylish, but none of that matters if the kitchen is serving food that is unsafe to eat. I left feeling disgusted and honestly concerned for anyone else who eats here. read more

Initially, we planned to dine somewhere else, but ended up passing by Jacinta Cuisine and seeing some better offerings. So glad we did! We wanted something on the lighter side so we decided to share a salad, entree, and dessert. We ordered the Green Mix which was absolutely refreshing, perfectly tart, and delicious. My husband is still adjusting to salad life and he very much enjoyed this, even with it being a honey Dijon vinaigrette. It was right up my alley though. We also split the Mediterranean Chicken and it was phenomenal. Root mashed veggies, a tapenade, and sauce I could put over everything. We absolutely devoured the plate. Which, by the way, I very much appreciated our server refreshing after every meal. Such a nice touch to keep getting clean plates and silverware. Our server was honestly top notch and best service in PR, hands down. To finish the wonderful meal, we decided to splurge and get the Manchego Flan. Do not pass! It is a different texture than your typical flan but it is beyond tasty. Not too sweet with a hint of cheesiness knocked this dessert out of the park. It was unique and fresh and probably a top 15 dessert, maybe 10 honestly. I heard really good things about this place before coming, and I was genuinely excited to come. The service was really good, our server was polite, kind and attentive. The ambiance was really nice, super live and the perfect place for a night out! However, what really deterred me from coming back was the food. I ordered the lamb and I was, again, really excited to try the food. Unfortunately, I was met with a rancid odor coming from my dish after cutting into it. I fully believe the meat had gone bad because as many times as I've eaten lamb, it had never smelled/tasted that way. Additionally, the smell matched the taste & had a very sour taste and bitter aftertaste. That isn't all though, I went with 3 others as well & one of my guests also had a bad dish. She ordered the cod and that too had a vile odor after cutting into it. After about two bites, we both started to feel physically ill to our stomachs. We actually even threw up in the restaurant bathrooms. While throwing up, staff had came to the bathroom constantly trying to remove us, even though we said it was in use. At that point we decided to just call it a night, and once we were on the road, two of our other guests started to feel ill as well. Long story short, we all ended up with food poisoning! 10/10 Visiting from California and everywhere we went it was hard to find English speakers (we speak some Spanish but ordering food with a language barrier and difficult). This was one of the places where we were able to communicate despite the barriers, we spoke in English and they spoke in Spanish and everyone was able to understand ! Love that they are open at noon, looks like it's a recent thing. We came in exactly at 12:00pm on a Wednesday and it wasn't busy . Great service. Gave us clean plates for every course, clean new set of utensils and napkins, asked us how everything went and tasted as well. I recommend getting the Cod as an entree because the potatoes were so yummy and the fish itself was fresh. Forgot to take pics of the tuna crudo cause we just dug in and that was amazing as well. Very light, refreshing. The flan was a bit different texture for me since I'm used to East LA abuela flan but it was still super yummy . Looking forward to coming again on our next visit ! read more

We came in here while looking for something to eat around the placita and were seated upstairs without a reservation. Best decision ever because the food was so good. I wasn't too hungry so I ordered the hummus. It was so good with a hint of lime, literally the best. Chicken was delicious and I really want the root mash recipe! Came into Jacinta recommended by the owner of Tasca el pescador near La Placita and we did not have a reservation. Wilson, the owner, welcomed us with open arms. The place is beautifully decorated, very cozy and artsy. The food is delicious and nice presentation. We ordered the wagyu beef sliders, the pear and gorgonzola ravioli and the boar meatballs and for dessert the pudding. All very tasty. We arrived around 8PM on a Sunday. We were the second table and by 9PM the whole place got packed, including a dining room on the second floor. Can't wait to come back! read more

It's a new spot as of writing this so I wanted to give them a shout, even though the prices at first remind me of New York City prices (where I live) but boy do they deliver. I'm a picky eater. Chose this restaurant after another had a very long wait time. We were welcomed with open arms and excitement. Not only from the waiter but what seems to be the owner or manager. The atmosphere was inviting. The prices are reasonable for a high tourist site and the portions were large. I ordered the chicken curry. It was a different curry than what I am used to but it was still delicious. Not pictured but my husband ordered the lamb chops and he melted in his chair. He really enjoyed it. What I did not like is that we had to pay for the water.
