I had to get surgery in September and when I booked my surgery there was no testing required prior to the surgery. A week before my surgery they changed the rules and I needed to get tested. So of course now I'm panicking because it could take up to 4 to 5 days to get the results. So I posted on my private page if anyone knew of a private Pharmacy willing to pay etc. A friend recommended this Pharmacy so I called first thing in the morning (10 am when they open) and of course my luck there was no spots left for me to go and get tested. So I explained my entire situation and he was so kind and he told me if I can come in around blah blah blah time that he would be able to do the testing for me. And lucky me they take my insurance and what's even better than that I got my test results the following morning around 9:00 a.m. because they use local labs. I have gotten tested many times and I won't go to any other place. He's a true New Yorker fast-paced and means business his wife is sweet as a button! If you live in the local area and you need to get tested I recommend JW Pharmacy. I also want to add when there is extreme high demand of testing sometimes you don't get your test results the next day and he's very honest. But on a regular day when there's no surge happening you usually get your test results first thing in the morning. I got tested five times and only once around Christmas time did I have to wait 3 days for my test results. But it was a given. But yea five 's for sure! read more

JW Pharmacy is an amazing neighborhood resource. They performed a COVID PCR test for me late in the afternoon. The results were emailed to me early the next day.... in considerably less than 24 hours! Clean and safe environment with no stress and no waiting ! The team at JW made the Covid test a safe and hassle free experience! And while there I was able to purchase masks (in fun colors) and other personal protection items. read more

It is very dangerous to have a pharmacy that claims their hours are until 10pm when I arrived shortly before 9 and it was closed. That's very lazy in my opinion, especially since medications were sent to that pharmacy with the time being convenient to get prescriptions after a discharge from a hospital. If you're closed at 9, you should be responsible in updating your hours online so that it shows the correct closure time. Very upset with this pharmacy. read more

From time to time you come across a store and staff that have PASSION in what they do. I know this is just a review for a pharmacy but these guys work 2 blocks from my job and I am constantly impressed with their passion and consistency. Bad service. Pharmacist is rude and thinks he is in control of everything when it is not.

Horrible service!!!!! This black dude has such a bad attitude and doesn't know how to treat customers right. This item I was buying came in different types so I asked him to give me what I wanted but he insisted on giving me the one in his hands, telling me that everything is just basically the same anyway. Really? So would it be okay for a salesperson to insist on selling a narrow striped shirt to a customer that is asking for a wide striped shirt??? I fought for the one I wanted but he didn't backed down. It's something I needed right away, so I still ended up purchasing the wrong one but this dude shouldn't be there with that kind of nasty attitude. read more

Excellent notary service. J W Pharmacy is an asset to our community. John of JW Pharmacy went above and beyond any expectations I had of a notary's service by making a house call (due to special circumstances) to notarize closing documents for the sale of a house. His visit was professional and courteous. He brought with him the official notary stamp and was patient and thorough with the client. As she signed the documents, he verified her identification and officially stamped and notarized each document. In addition to being a notary, JW Pharmacy never disappoints, they have an excellent selection of everyday items and medications, if they don't have something in stock they will usually have it later that day or the next morning.
