I don't usually write reviews, but my experience with Jtech left me honestly uncomfortable, scammed, disrespect, mistreated, and disappointed A major issue was the conduct of Mr. Vaughn. Instead of creating a supportive learning environment, his approach often felt intimidating. There were multiple instances where he used what came across as scare tactics toward students . Threatening to send home, raising his voice, insisting making examples out of people, telling students they don't want to see Drill Sergeant Vaughn, and creating unnecessary pressure rather than actually helping anyone improve. Learning is already stressful with it being nights and some students have work schedules, but this kind of environment makes it worse. Instead of deescalating, it felt like students were hesitant to speak up out of fear of being singled out. That's not how a classroom should operate, especially in a program where people are trying to build skills and confidence. Beyond that, communication and overall organization at the school didn't help much either. It often felt like concerns weren't taken seriously, and there wasn't much effort to address the environment being created. read more

Need to be transparent and professional. Their hiring practice is questionable . They practice having people come in for a 2nd interview only to be ghosted and then inform them they don't have open positions. If that's the case, why the second interview? read more

Would not waist your money on this school. It sounds good when you do the walk through. But once you are in the classes it's a different story. For the night classes they have almost 20 students per instructor. So the hands on training is very limited. Some instructors are not very knowledgeable in the fields they are teaching. The amount of time I have spent so far on this "degree" has been a waste. You could learn more by doing an internship or starting off as a shop hand somewhere. Some credits don't transfer over from other colleges, or if you're prior service. Most if not all of your mechanical credits will not transfer over either. read more

My Experience with this school was great !!!!! The instructors are so good and they give you run for your money ! I passed my all exams in one try . Mr Brown ,MS Knight both such a great instructor very patient with students ! I would suggest if you want to learn try to pay the tuition fee from your pocket you will get more practice and experience and they will work with you all day till you understand. read more

I had a great experience last year with taking the CDL classes. I took the night classes that which were Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. I got my license in August of 2015 and obtained a job with Gordon Food Service. After a year there I moved over to be owner operator doing local aggregate work. I've only been here 3 days into a 4 week CDL driving course but have to say, everything so far from my first phone call inquiring about the course to my tour with Shante to my enrollment with Shante and others a few days later I have nothing but good things to say. The course is comprehensive, the equipment is good and the training so far with Wolfgang Mahn, (yes I said Wolfgang) has been awesome. He is thorough, wants questions and makes it easy to understand and is patient with students. I can't see it going any differently, but I will update after completion. As an awesome side note, the course fee is much less than other schools that are only there to make money and pump out newbs in an 80,000 pound vehicle. Classes are small (only 4) so we get the individual instruction and truck driving time we need and deserve. I would recommend anyone to check out this school and go if you are looking for a career in trucking or need your CDL for any reason!! read more

Super nice new facility. Amazing garage warehouse setups, all the newest stuff. They have deals with Napa and nhra to bring in the best tools and equipment. Staff is incredibly professional and courteous, if you are thinking about it after hearing the commercials or seeing a semi truck trailer ad, stop in and check it out. read more

Terrible school. This school puts on a really good dog and pony show for you when you tour the campus. They will lie to you and tell you that you will work on Marine diesels, generators, heavy-duty, and light/medium duty diesels. That is a complete lie. You don't work on anything other than heavy-duty. You do not graduate with ANY certifications, you will receive an "occupational associates degree" and in the technician world that means absolutely nothing. What you "learn" here is VERY elementary. Some of these instructors are not qualified at all and should not be teaching here. The administration keeps those instructors and gets rid of the qualified ones it seems. It doesn't really matter I guess really because they instructors do not actually teach anything (most in my experience) they give you hand outs and make you watch videos. If you want a good diesel education then look somewhere else. This school is a fraud in my opinion and a waste of money and time. I have no idea how they get away with it. There is another diesel program in Jacksonville that is better and had I known about JTech I would not be going to school here. read more

I am a week from graduating with a degree in Diesel Technology and I recommend this school to anyone looking for a rewarding career. When I first started this place, I felt like it was a sound decision. The instructors here are not the problem!! Leadership starts at the top and filters it's way down and the leadership at the top is lacking! In life people have situations and things change but I have never been in an space where a front office just gossips and talks about students to the point where you hear them. Men as well acting like ladies, singing songs about students, salt n pepper, salt n pepper!! Like you can't hear, talking about your personal life, when they don't know anything or any of the details. Imagine that coming to a school where they are suppose to lift you up and help you achieve something, instead they try to piece together your personal life not knowing what someone has been thru to get where they are. I pray that they get help. Also if you owe the school money they will hunt you down, but when they have a check in possession for you, they hold on to it to collect intertest. They lie and give you false dates so they can drag it out. When my cousins arrived to enroll I bought them tickets back home because I didn't want the six of them to attend this place. I have nothing against this school, but everyday it gets harder to come here. I have no problems with my instructors but the professionalism of some of the people I thought were outstanding, they really suck and it is really a bummer!! This school is a big waste of time. When you register to join this school they make it seem like a big deal and the best school in town but is not it's all a big fraud. It's a waste of time and a big waste of money. The teachers they have teaching aren't any good and they really don't teach you anything Everything you learn here is elementary school level learning, from all the teachers they have in the diesel program only 2 of them actually do their job and seat there with you until you understand the material and they teach you how everything works. The school is never prepared for anything. they never have the right tools and the tools they actually have they're all broken and you can't use them to do your work. The tool boxes that we work out of are always missing tool out of them and are never complete set. All the equipment they make us work on is all messed up and broken or no where near the condition of real world trucks. Most of the trucks here are pieces of shit that don't work and they won't even start because battery's are dead or trucks weren't put back together properly. Instead of the school using the money to buy new equipment or parts for us they use the money on stupid shit that we don't need like 60 ton cranes that since being bought have been use a hand full of times and mainly sit in the back of the lot and when they buy new equipment Instead of letting us learn from it and teach us how they work and how to fix it they won't let us touch it or look at it. I don't recommend this school to any body there's better schools out there that are actually worth it this school is a big waste of time and money. read more
